Yeezy for Office? Man Endorsing Kanye West for Chicago Mayor (@kanyewest)

It's no secret Chicago is currently going through a dangerous rough patch. With a nickname like "Chiraq" being adopted by many natives, it has become a place where many feel unsafe and distrustful of their local officials to improve conditions. Mayor and President Obama's former chief of staff Rahm Emanuel has a low 29% approval rating and there are currently no prospects of new leadership capable of making a change. One University of Chicago grad however thinks he knows the perfect person to turn things around.

29-year-old Washington D.C. native/ Chicago resident Ben Shepard thinks Yeezy himself could turn things around. Shepard started a website, Kanye 4 Mayor, spreading the word of his vision. He argues that West's notoriety would attract donors, and that he's politically minded enough to seriously want change throughout his hometown. Also, he wouldn't play the "games" of politics, and wouldn't be afraid to piss some people off for the greater good.
