According to HipHopVibe, Wale recently accepted the challenge of a random fan who DM'd the DMV rapper on Twitter. Tyler Perry's Deal With Lionsgate Will Not be Renewed (@tylerperry)

Tyler Perry's longtime studio partner Lionsgate has chosen not to renew Perry's deal.

According to Deadline:

"Tyler Perry's longtime and lucrative first-look deal with Lionsgate is not being renewed, though there are still several projects in the pipeline at the studio beyond his upcoming release "Single Mom's Club," which is due out March 14. We're even hearing there could be more Madea films for Lionsgate –his last Lionsgate pic was Tyler Perry's A Madea Christmas, which grossed $52.5M when it came out in December.

The decision was mutual between the studio and Perry's 34th Street Production, a source close to the situation says, based on a variety of matters such as international distribution and marketing."

Stat Quo: I Became Frustrated and Bitter Working on 'Detox' (@statquo)

During a recent interview with HipHopDX, rapper/producer Stat Quo discussed working on "Detox" with Dr. Dre, and detailed his exasperation and worry that his hard work would never see the light of day.

"I just felt like 'Detox' was not going to come out," the Atlanta emcee recalled. "I was writing so much music and doing so much sh*t and my frustration with it not coming out began to effect me and Dre's relationship. I became frustrated to the point where I had become bitter about working."

He also revealed that Interscope boss Jimmy Iovine considered the "Detox" team to be the "greatest practice team of all time," as they were creating so much banging music that quite possibly nobody but them would ever get to enjoy. Stat says it was almost too much to bear.

"I started getting frustrated with it. The mental strain on me and not having my album come out, sh*t started hitting me. I just distanced myself and stopped coming around.”

Stat decided to leave the label and return home to Atlanta, but it he soon got a call from Iovine asking him to return to L.A. and pick up where they left off. The call couldn't have come at a better time, as Stat says he was in a bad way financially. However, it wasn't long before the uncertainty and frustration returned.

“We went to Hawaii to work. Game was working with him. We’re just working and doing all this music and it feels like I came back into the same sh*t I left and we’re just recording new songs everyday. It’s like, ‘Yo, this sh*t is never going to come out. It’s never going to come out. Why am I doing this?’

Moving on, Stat recalled how TDE CEO Top Dawg convinced him to give Dre a call after the two had a bit of a falling out.

"I called [Dre] and I was like, ‘Yo, I just want to tell you I love you. I don’t know if you know it or not.’ He was like, ‘What? Man, come to the studio, man!’ I went to the studio and he’s playing the Jon Connor sh*t and we just caught up.”

Take a Look Inside One of El Chapo's Safehouses

The Sinaloa drug cartel of Mexico was turned on its head when cartel boss Joaquín Archivaldo Guzmán Loera, or "El Chapo," was arrested in late February after over a decade on the run.

In the above clip, a CNN reporter checks out one of the kingpin's many safehouses. Surprisingly, the home is rather spartan; however, this was all part of El Chapo's strategy of keeping a low profile.

As the reporter explains, a secret tunnel can be accessed under the home's bathtub. This leads to the city of Culiacan's sewer system, which connects to another safe house over a mile away.

Actress/ Singer Jada Pinkett Smith spoke of her old friend Tupac while visiting The Arsenio Hall Show last week. While many fans always thought Pinkett and Shakur had a romantic relationship, Pinkett revealed he was more like a father figure.

"Pac was probably one of the first male figures that I had in my life that saw the beauty and the talent and my intelligence separated from sex. That's something a young girl usually gets from her father, but I didn't have that. Pac was the first one that, it wasn't about sex."

Phil Jackson: Shaq Played the Clown Role (@shaq)

Legendary basketball coach Phil Jackson has 11 championship rings to his name, and has brought out the best in greats like Michael Jordan, Shaquille O'Neal and Kobe Bryant.

In a panel at the MIT Sloan Sports Analytics Conference, Jackson shed some light on their work ethics.

"Shaq didn't work at it," Jackson said. "Michael was able to succeed despite all kinds of limitations in his game. He couldn't hit an outside shot. He couldn't defend. But all of that went away because of his work ethic. Kobe saw that as a pinnacle that he had to reach, and he took it to a whole new level."

After his 2000-2002 three-peat with The Lakers, O'Neal and Bryant had a famous falling out, and Jackson pointed to their personalities as a cause.

"Shaq had a clown role he had to play," he said. "So that was part of the rift."

Game Shuts Down Allegations He Hooked Up With Kim K (@thegame @kimkardashian)

Gossip sites, including TMZ, have been making the claim that Game and Kim K used to do the horizontal tango after the Compton emcee revealed earlier this week that he dated Kim for a short time back in the day.

While Game doesn't deny he dated Kim, he never said that they had sexual relations. Game took to Twitter to sort things out.

"@TMZ being messy. I didn't say I banged anyone. Spoke briefly on a very old situation & y'all put extra on it as only y'all would do. FOH," Game tweeted on February 27.

He followed that tweet with a couple of more in which he expressed his love for Kanye and Kim's family, and shook off the accusations he ever had relations with Kim, noting it "comes with the territory."

While Game deleted the first tweet in which he called out TMZ, you can check out the other two tweets up top.
