The Heat's Mario Chalmer's Child Support Up'd to $10,000/Month

Starting point guard for the Miami heat, Mario Chalmer's extravagant lifestyle just caught up with him. After reviewing documents that showed Chalmer's spending habits, he's been ordered to up his child support payments from $2,600 to $10,000 a month for his daughter, Queen Elizabeth (her legal name).

Queen Elizabeth's mother Brittney Burrough asked for an increase in child support after his own spending became more and more grand, stemming from his 3 year, $12 million contract with The Heat that increased his salary from $70K to $400K monthly.

The judge noted that he spends $22K on housing, $5K a month on vacations, $1,600 a month on clothing and personal items and pays his assistant $10,000 a month. Meanwhile his daughter's mother lives with her sister and recently lost her job that paid just $1,000 a month.

Chalmers was also ordered to pay retroactive child support from the date Burrough filed her request for additional child support: a total of $155,000.

T.I's short temper with Floyd Mayweather might have been worked up from an earlier issue with a Vegas club.

According to TMZ, while out in Vegas for Memorial Day, the rapper was denied entry at Liquid where his pal Nicki Minaj was performing. Security for the club didn't realize the celebrity and got into a shoving match with the rapper and his security.

After realizing it was indeed T.I, he was allowed into the event. Police got involved in the short altercation, but there were no arrests made.

Later that night, Tip and Floyd Mayweather exchanged words over photos of the rapper's wife with the boxer.

Fans Make Fun of 50 Cent's Opening Pitch at Mets Game (@50Cent)

Before the Mets and Pirates game, 50 Cent threw one memorable first pitch.

The rapper's pitch went completely in the wrong direction as spectators looked on. The rapper blamed himself for the awkward pitch and so did his fans.

Commentators gave the rapper a break claiming that ball went just a little outside.

Compton's Kendrick Lamar has never been the flashy type. We rarely see him with icy chains, expensive cars or throwing money at chicks in the club. He's always had a humble aura about him, and that's ringing even more true with his latest and some would say most important purchase; his first home.

Lamar dropped about half a mill ($523,500 to be exact) on a modest 4-bedroom home in Eastvale, CA. Clocking in at an hour's drive outside of LA, he clearly chose to go the more discreet route instead of purchasing a beach home in Malibu or mansion in Bel Air.

The home is of decent size, coming in at roughly 7,800 square feet, but is a far cry from the typical rap "crib." His fellow Compton rapper Tyga reportedly purchased a 9,280-square-foot home in Cali's rich Calabasas neighborhood for a reported $6.5 million.

If cards and neckties are all you’ve been giving or receiving for the past few years then Father’s Day just got a little more special thanks to Michael Jordan and a special colorway of the Air Jordan 1 Retro silhouette.

When we originally reported on these kicks we didn’t know about their significance but now we know the silhouette is cast in tribute to Michael’s familial ties as subtle nods to everyone from his dad to his offspring are peppered throughout it’s dark denim upper. The aglets of the black laces toss a shout out to his pops while the multi colored eyelets and corresponding laces are done in honor of his kids, complete with their birthdays and an inspirational quote on the tongue.

This is a very nice surprise and we can only imagine how happy sneaker loving dads across the country will be if they can make it through the bots and resellers to actually cop a pair. Look for these to drop on June 14.

Rest in Paradise: Literary Icon Maya Angelou Passes at 86

Poet, essayist, civil rights activist, professor and literary icon Maya Angelou died this morning (May 28th) at her home in Winston-Salem, NC. She was discovered by her caretaker and the city has confirmed reports. She was 86 years old.

Angelou had been battling health problems in recent months, and was too sick to accept her "Beacon of Life" award at the 2014 MLB Beacon Award Luncheon which is scheduled for May 30th. She instead intended to send "Good Morning America" anchor Robin Roberts on her behalf. The organization wished her well with her health troubles.

Angelou was best known for the first of her six memoirs, "I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings." She was also nominated for a Pulitzer Prize for her book of poems, "Just Give Me a Cool Drink of Water 'fore I Diiie," and won three Grammys for her spoken word albums. She also held more than 30 honorary degrees from colleges and universities all over the world.

Rest in peace to the legendary Dr. Angelou.

Texas Police To Investigate Wiz Khalifa's Jail Selfie (@wizkhalifa‎)

Wiz Khalifa's jail selfie has gotten the star in more trouble with the authorities.

According to TMZ, El Paso police plan to launch an investigation to find out why the rapper was able to hold on to his phone during his arrest over the weekend.

Because inmates aren't allowed to hold on to their personal items during lockup, police are trying to determine if the rapper was left alone or if the police were in on the joke.

As the rapper continued on his 'Above the Influence' tour after the arrest, he explained that he simply snuck his phone into the cell.

"I'm gonna ride for y'all. The same way y'all ride for me," said Wiz. "Same way when y'all heard I was in that cell and y'all went on Twitter and y'all said, 'Free Chuck/Wiz'... y'all better believe I snuck my cell phone in there for that s**t. I wasn't going to miss out on the people who really care about me."
