Snoop Dogg Transforms Into a White Guy Named Todd [VIDEO]
Snoop Dogg has taken on a number of personas, but this is probably his most ridiculous to date.
Meet Todd. He likes to crochet, paintball and “do a little spoken word from time to time,” as he reveals in a video posted to Instagram.
With complete white face on, some large ’70s glasses and a weird bob-like layered blond wig (which makes him look more like a middle-aged woman than a guy), Snoop totally transforms into the character. He’s been posting various videos of Todd on his Instagram account, even going so as far as to change his voice — making him sound like a high-pitched, slightly maniacal younger man.
According to his videos, the rapper donned the new look for a fictitious site called ‘White Boy Connect,’ where he says “white guys find fly single females to have a great time.”
In one photo, Todd poses with actress Nia Long, among others.
While we’re not sure what Snoop Dogg is really up to, it’s a pretty entertaining sight to see.

Remy Ma's Five-Step Guide to Keeping a Man [EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW]
After spending six-and-a-half years in the bing, it’s hard to believe any man would faithfully stay by his woman’s side. But in Remy Ma‘s case, she made sure her hubby, Papoose, wouldn’t be going anywhere while she took a little vacation upstate.
While the rap couple’s three kids — one from their relationship and a son and daughter from Pap’s previous relationship — probably played a factor in making things work, the former Terror Squad princess had a few tricks up her sleeve when it came to reminding her self-proclaimed prince of New York what he had waiting for him at home Bedford Hills Correctional Facility. And the fact that the two were married while the now 34-year-old rapstress was locked up helped keep things a little more interesting than usual. Can anyone say, conjugal visits.
“People call them conjugal visits, but it’s really called FRP, the Family Reunion Program,” Remy tells The Boombox. “You can only go with someone that you can have sex with if you’re married; however, a lot of the women that are in prison don’t have husbands, or if they had a husband and were married he didn’t stick around.”
Reminisce Smith knows she got “lucky” with her marital circumstances, but she admits that keeping a marriage alive when you’re behind bars if definitely a “challenge.” “When you go [from] seeing your man every day, and breaking your neck to get to each other, to we can only see each other for two days in an intimate way every six weeks or 42 days… that’s a strain in your relationship,” admits Remy. “And then you have me, who stayed in trouble so my 42 days or my six weeks would turn into six months, easy. You have to have someone who really loves you and is willing to put your relationship over physical acts.”
But just because Remy had to keep her man’s attention without focusing on the physical doesn’t mean she didn’t get creative. “I think during my six-and-a-half years [in jail], we’ve had every type of sex you can think of: phone sex, letter sex, pass-this-message-to-him-when-you-see-him sex. We tried everything. We determined that we were not gonna let this break us and we didn’t.”
So if you’re going through a seasonal set of relationship issues, or just looking for new ways to have your guy stick around, check out Remy Ma’s Five-Step Guide to Keeping a Man.
"You have to know your man. Girls be like, ‘I know my man, I know my man,’ but I mean really know him. Know how [he] thinks, know what [he] wants in a female -- because sometimes you might not be what [he] really wants. [When you don't know you're man], that’s why it’s an issue when you have conflicting ideas about certain things."
"I know people are saying, 'Oh, she’s so progressive,' but I know what my position is. I know the part that I play in the relationship, and I know the part that he plays and I never try to step into his role. If I feel like he’s doing something that might harm himself, I don’t nag him or talk down to him -- nobody wants to be talked down to. Guys try to act like they’re so different from [women], but they’re really the same. You don’t want to be talked down to or want anyone to make you feel like your opinion doesn’t matter like they don’t really need you. If a guy came to you and was like, ‘Do you know how many chicks is hollerin’ at me,' you would look at him crazy. And you don’t want give that out to your man either, making him feel like dudes is hollerin’ at [you] everyday, like, 'I don’t have to be here.' I think once you know who your man is, and you know his wants and his desires and things like that and you let him play his position, everything else is just gonna fall into place."
"There would be times where [Papoose and I] would [argue], and we didn’t agree on certain things and we would be on the phone -- it took up to three hours sometimes because the average phone call is only a half-an-hour, and I would call six times if need be -- and I would sit there with a pen and paper and he would sit there with his pen and paper on his end and let me talk until I’m done. And when I’m done, I say, 'I’m done.' And then he would go back, and he would speak and touch on everything that I spoke about or what his issues were concerning the same situation. It’s so crazy how once we even started doing that everything was easier than it was before because [we] feel like [we] have a voice and [we] feel like [our] opinions matter.
"There be times when you can be with your man, and you just want to cut him off before he finish like, ‘Before you even finish what you sayin’, let me tell you right now it’s not happenin’,’ but that really doesn’t do anything to help your situation. You have to let [him] speak, and he has to have that respect for you to allow you to speak."
"You have to find a man that’s going to respect you. With my husband, I tell him all the time the fact that he grew up in a home with his mom and his dad and they were married until he was grown made him have certain values and certain respect for me. I’ve never even heard him in casual talking -- he might do it on a record, but even that isn’t that often (probably not til he started to hand out with me so much) -- call women bitches or hoes or anything like that. I know him so well, the way he says 'this lady' or 'this female' a certain way, I’m like, 'Oh, he really wants to say this bitch.' He just has so much respect for women."

Understand If He's a Keeper
"When women are trying to keep a man, just make it’s a man that you want to keep. You know, he might be cute and drives this type of vehicle and has a nice little bank account, but is he really somebody that you would want? A lot of times, guys like that they have issues about being with one woman -- they don’t want to be with one woman, and why should they when they can be with five of them and everyone’s gonna tolerate it? So you have to make sure that the man that you’re trying to keep is a man that you want to keep, and that he wants to be kept."

Sneaker of the Week — Air Jordan 10 Remaster Preview
When Nike announced they’d be remastering a few silhouettes in the coming years it really shook up the sneaker world and left quite a few wondering just what the Jumpman had in store. Well we’ve got an early glimpse of just what the Air Jordan 10 will be serving up and of course with it being such a highly anticipated collection we couldn’t help but to deem it Sneaker of the Week.
Three colorways can be seen above including one never before seen gem. Jumping right into the unknown we are face first with the “Lady Liberty” colorway who’s theme is pretty overt with a metallic grey leather build and teal accents giving off that Statue of Liberty vibe. The familiar faces come in the form of a “Chicago” colorway boasting a white leather upper with black and red accents as well as a “Bulls over Broadway” theme that goes for red tumbled leather with a cement colored outsole.
No word on specifically how they’ll release but you can look for the trio to release on or around the 2015 NBA All-Star weekend which is set to happen at both Barclays and Madison Square Garden. Who’s excited?

Jeezy Posts Bail After Pleading Not Guilty to Gun Possession
Rapper Jeezy is a free man after spending several days in jail. The Atlanta rhymer posted $1 million bail on Thursday night (Aug. 28) after he was arrested on Sunday (Aug. 24) in California on weapons charges.
Jeezy pleaded not guilty to the gun possession charges on Tuesday (Aug. 26) after police discovered a AK-47 on his tour bus. Five other people were arrested and charged as well.
“All six men have posted bail and are currently being processed,” CTE’s Steve “Steve-O” Carless told MTV News. “They will be out shortly.”
The arrest occurred while Jeezy was on the Under the Influence of Music tour, which was canceled following the death of a 38-year-old man who was shot and killed backstage last Saturday (Aug. 23) at a California show.
Reps for the ‘Me OK’ rhymer said that the arrest will not stop the release of his new album, ‘Seen It All: The Autobiography,’ which arrives on Sept. 2.
Jeezy’s next court date is scheduled for Sept. 5.

The Weeknd Walks the Streets in 'King of the Fall' Video
Leave it to the Weeknd to get us hyped up for the Labor Day festivities with the release of his party-centric video for ‘King of the Fall.’
Now this isn’t a raging house party. Abel highlights a chilled out vibe with red cups and red-lit vibes, all in the company of some fine females. The singer, sporting an aquamarine-and-black North Face, isn’t in a rush to join the celebration; he’d rather walk the streets alone from morning until night, arriving in a Mercedes-Benz G-Class when the spirit moves him.
Just like his recently released visual for ‘Often,’ the women get up close and personal with one another here, putting on quite a show for the guys. The Weeknd encourages a good time for all on the DaHeala-produced track but there’s one thing he makes sure to point out: “If you ain’t complimenting, you offending.”

Watch a Sneak Peek of Ludacris' Origins in VH1′s 'ATL: The Untold Story of Atlanta's Rise in the Rap Game' [EXCLUSIVE]
Hip-hop may have been born in the North and bred between two coasts, but somewhere between the height of the East Coast vs. West Coast rap feud and the death of two hip-hop greats, the South crept into the public eye via the 1995 Source Awards when Andre 3000 to let everyone know “the South got somethin’ to say.”
Now, nearly 10 years later, if you let some of today’s biggest artists, DJs and music executives tell it, the culture thrives in the South. To honor the city that helped push rap to mainstream oblivion, Ludacris and DTP Co-founder/CEO Chaka Zulu teamed up with VH1 as executive producers to present ‘ATL: The Untold Story of Atlanta’s Rise in the Rap Game,’ a documentary that uncovers the story behind what is now one of hip-hop’s biggest hubs.
The 90-minute documentary features a slew of iconic rap figures, DJs, record store owners and politicians — past and present — including Mojo, MC Shy D, DJ Toomp, Speech, T.I. Bone Crusher, DJ Jelly, Greg Street, the current mayor of Atlanta, Kasim Reed, and more, as they explore the evolution of hip-hop in a city that was never viewed as a music portal beginning with the post-civil rights era. Understanding that A-town’s rise in the rap game was molded by more than just the beats and flows that filled the airwaves, Chaka and Luda were conscious in including the city’s historical background, starting with the Atlanta Child Murders that took place between 1979 and 1981.
“Music is true of the culture and the socialization of people,” Chaka tells The Boombox. “[It's] the mindset, spirit and emotion of people in a space and time. That particular period of time helped define Atlanta in a major way. Even though it was dark… it also allowed Atlanta to be seen in an underdog position in a way that people might consider a negative, [but] they turned that into a positive. That is also a consistent theme within the documentary.”
From Jermaine Dupri running around backstage with Whoodini to L.A. Reid and Babyface’s unforgettable LaFace Records’ Christmas album, Atlanta’s music scene has come a long way from the days when New York radio wouldn’t be caught dead playing a Southern track. But now that there’s no denying Atlanta as a “centerpiece of hip-hop,” the DTP Co-founders hope this 90-minute yellow brick road will pave the way for more ATL-bred stories to be told.
“This piece is the tree trunk,” Chaka passionately shares. “This will create the opportunity for branches to grow out that will tell even deeper and more interesting stories about the history of Atlanta and its hip-hop scene.”
“You have to start out small, and expand,” says Ludacris. “That’s the way to do it.”
Check out another exclusive clip from ‘ATL: The Untold Story of Atlanta’s Rise in the Rap Game’ below, and catch the full 90-minute documentary on VH1 this Tues., Sept. 2 at 10PM EST.

Run the Jewels, Jeremih Talk Hustle and Success in Fader Interview [VIDEO]
When it comes to the rap and R&B game it’s all about the hustle — just ask Run the Jewels (Killer Mike and El-P) and Jeremih. Both artists have been on their grind for a few years now and have made a name for themselves. But it wasn’t easy.
In an interview with Fader magazine, for their vitaminwater #uncapped concert series, the two music acts talk about their hustle and success.
For both artists it was a mixture of love and passion that drove them to pursue music.
“I was lucky because I figured out what I loved really early,” said El-P who was producing and releasing music by the age of 17.
Killer Mike added, “Luck is preparation and opportunity meeting one another. Where other people were buying gold chains and cars, I bought studio time and equipment.”
“Big Boi’s younger brother was a friend of mine and I was given an opportunity, but it was totally based on straight four years of hard work, you know being neglected by the Atlanta music scene and this one other artist having the confidence in me and giving me the opportunity,” he added.
For Jeremih, it was hours of practice on the keyboards and developing his craft that helped him create his sound. After the success of ‘Birthday Sex,’ the crooner had to hustle even more harder to stay relevant in the game.
“At that time I really didn’t know much, and from ‘Birthday Sex’ everyone was like, ‘one hit wonder,’” he recalled. “It just made me kinda go harder because I got a taste of it (success). I wanted to beat that odd that everybody wanted to put on me.”
In the end, it’s all about the hustle — the hard work toward success.
“Hustle is to hold a higher standard,” explain Killer Mike. “It’s [the willingness] to work when others are sleeping and that’s defines hustling.”
“The payoff is so glorious,” adds El-P. “The payoff is life.”
We can’t knock their hustle.
