Sneaker of the Week: Jordan Brand Holiday 2015 Preview

Nike

The cold weather is the last thing you want to think about, considering the freezing temps that have hit much of the U.S. this winter. But if you’re into sneakers, you know the cold is a sign of the holidays and Nike likes to send us all into a tizzy by dropping some massive colorways ever year around the Christmas season. This year will be no different and with six upcoming looks unveiled, we had to make the preview our Sneaker of the Week.

Three Air Jordan 8 colorways are set to make an appearance this holiday season. Each version included in the set is a heavy hitter on its own accord. Back again are the infamous Aqua colorway and the vicious black/chrome design, but an all-new Three Times a Charm colorway steals the show by drawing its inspiration from Chicago’s three-peat against the Phoenix Suns. Great new looks for the Air Jordan 1 and Air Jordan 7 are also set to drop, but the Air Jordan 14 Low Laney is quite possibly the most impressive thing about this preview as the colorway is notoriously popular.

This set of sneakers will also be remastered, which is huge news for people who have enjoyed the upgrade in quality. That also means the price tag has been remastered. We all understand exactly what we’re paying for by now and have deemed it worthy. Now try and forget about these upcoming Nike silhouettes until around October 2015, when you’ll see them released.

The Beyhive Swarm Kid Rock's Instagram After His Beyonce Slander

Beyonce Kid RockJason Merritt / Jerry Markland, Getty Images

Beyonce’s fans don’t play around when it comes to her queen. Kid Rock is getting severely stung right now by the Beyhive. The Detroit rocker slandered the Queen Bey in a Rolling Stone interview, which infuriated the colony of her dedicated fans.

In the RS interview, Rock says that he was “flabbergasted” by Beyonce’s popularity and wasn’t impressed with her singing abilities.

“Beyonce, to me, doesn’t have a f—ing ‘Purple Rain,’ but she’s the biggest thing on Earth,” says Rock, referring to Prince’s classic song as the barometer of being an iconic singer. “How can you be that big without at least one ‘Sweet Home Alabama’ or ‘Old Time Rock & Roll’?”

Rock also frowned on Beyonce’s body image, stating, “People are like, ‘Beyonce’s hot. Got a nice f—ing ass.’ I’m like, ‘Cool, I like skinny white chicks with big tits.’ Doesn’t really f—ing do much for me.”

The Beyhive wasted no time in flooding Rock’s Instagram with thousands of bumblebee emojis on every photo on his account. And they are relentless with it. Beyonce’s fans have also been slandering him in the comments as well.

Kid Rock responded with a funny Instagram photo of a can of Raid that kills bugs and mosquitos. Unfortunately, it’s bees that are currently swarming his Instagram page.

It was a nice comeback, but if we learn anything from their previous assault on Karrueche Tran and Chilli, the Beyhive don’t go away quietly. It looks like Kid Rock’s Instagram account might not recover from this infestation.
