Kevin Durant Gets Emotional While Accepting NBA MVP Award (@kdtrey5)

Kevin Durant of the Oklahoma City Thunder very humbly accepted his MVP Award from the NBA last night, giving all praise to his mother who raised two sons on her own.

Durant spoke of him and his family moving constantly and his dreams of being a recreational coach for neighborhood kids. He acknowledged both those who believed in him wholeheartedly, as well as those who doubted him, both of whom gave him motivation to continue pursuing his dream.

"Everybody told us that we weren't supposed to be her we moved from apartment to apartment, by ourselves. One of the best memories I had is when we moved into our first apartment. No bed, no furniture, and we all just sat in the living room and hugged each other. We thought we made it."

He also spoke of his mother's sacrifices for him and his brother, sometimes literally not eating so that they could.
