Dr. Dre's 'Detox' Album Has a New Title

If you’re one of those people who’ve been waiting for Dr. Dre‘s next album, ‘Detox,’ it looks like you’ll be waiting forever. The project will now go by another name.

Dawaun Parker, a producer who once worked as part of the Aftermath Records imprint (Dre’s label), said Dre dropped the ‘Detox’ title a few years ago and adopted a new one. “The album he’s working on is not called ‘Detox.’ He scrapped ‘Detox’ a couple years ago and came up with another title,” he explained. “I won’t say what the title is ’cause I haven’t seen that online or anything yet.”

In an interview with Rap-Up earlier this year, singer Marsha Ambrosius gave details on working with Dre for this new album and also confirmed it would have a different title.

“We went to Hawaii just before the end of last year for a couple of weeks and got to really cram in with the production team that he’s got going now… so we’ve been working,” Ambrosius stated. “‘Detox’ was a title that was thrown around so many years ago so there’s so many other things in the works for you to not have to be concerned about anyone detoxing. It sounds like a fitness center now. No. You’ll see something else.”

And now that we’ve been updated on the title change, it would be nice if someone from Dre’s camp would give us an actual release date.

Three months have passed since we learned that TaQoya Branscomb, a former lingerie model who’s now a real estate agent, filed a paternity suit against Beyonce’s father Mathew Knowles. Now the results are now.

Based on a DNA test, there’s a 99.998 percent chance that Knowles fathered Branscomb’s child, according to TMZ. The Texas mom, who claimed she pregnant with Knowles child in 2010, will step up her efforts to collect child support.

Unfortunately, she may not receive the amount she’s hoping for since he’s already paying support to Alexandra Wright, a woman who filed a paternity suit against Knowles in a Los Angeles Superior Court back in October 2009.

The famous father of Beyonce and Solange has yet to comment on the new DNA results.

Lecrae Recalls His Hip-Hop Beginnings on 'Non-Fiction'

To thank fans for making his seventh album, ‘Anomaly,’ No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart, rapper Lecrae releases ‘Non-Fiction,’ a new track that didn’t make the final LP.

On the song, the spiritual wordsmith drops straight facts about his rise in the rap game. From his early days rapping in the ‘hood to releasing his first independent album, he recalls his ups and downs.

“I didn’t want to blow up / I just want to give them Jesus / And starting up Reach Records is I what I needed,” he raps, adding, “But I did it and I was on a mission / And little by little a couple of them would get it / Was rapping in the ‘hood and folks broke down cryin’ / That’s when I knew this was bigger than me, bigger than rhymin’.”

Along with the song, Lecrae left a message for his supporters. He writes

Unashamed Fam,

We asked you to make history with us and that’s exactly what happened. Lecrae’s album Anomaly hit #1 on the Billboard charts!

We want to celebrate this milestone with 116 everywhere across the world. You have been a part of the journey God has taken all of us on from the early days until now. Thank you for all the support.

Lil B Launches Emoji App 'Basedmoji'

If you’re a fan of Lil B, you know that he’s an avid Twitter user with 932,000 followers reading his every word. Now the Based God has delivered his first-ever emoji app called Basedmoji.

The app, which is available in the iTunes app store right now, is a must-have if you want to add some unique emojis to your tweets. The app description reads:

“This Is A Very Rare App Designed And Developed By Lil B himself!!! COLLECT THIS APP AND SPREAD AROUND THE WORLD! This app was created by Lil B to have fun with your friends and family and celebrate the life of Lil B! I LOVE YOU! – Lil B”

Basically, it’s an app with different emojis of Lil B smiling and saying things like “Kool,” “Can I Borrow Some $” and “Come Over.”

Ronnie Fieg’s collaboration well runs much deeper than Asics and for further proof it looks like he’s finally giving the runners a break. This time he’s putting some luxurious touches on a few Filling Pieces silhouettes and it really fills in the blanks your wardrobe may have.

We get an early peek at three different versions of the same silhouette including a tan tumbled leather, white pebbled and navy quilted. The chosen model has the feel of a chukka and even though they sit on a vulcanized outsole they feel a lot more casual than athletic.

These are set to hit Kith on Sept. 20 and while pricing information isn’t yet available its safe to say that no matter what the cost is they will be well worth it.
