Jason Derulo Performs 'Wiggle' and 'Talk Dirty' at 2014 Billboard Music Awards

Jason DeruloEthan Miller, Getty Images

While TheBoombox already showed how Jason Derulo would perform ‘Wiggle’ live,’ the crooner brought an acrobatic twist and a medley of other hits to his performance Sunday night (May 18) at the 2014 Billboard Music Awards.

But before getting to the actual set, we can’t ignore the fact that his lady, Jordan Sparks, had the honor of introducing him.

“I’m personally fond of this performer,” she said smiling from ear to ear. “But I’m not the only one. With 31 million singles worldwide and the number one pop album, my man, Jason Derulo!”

With the stage set to look like a construction site with graffiti in the background, Derulo opened his performance with his latest single, ‘Wiggle.’ With an army of athletic dancers, it was a fun song that even had a playful insertion of ‘Marry Me’ in it. However, since the track was actually more about celebrating the curves of a woman, the whole getting hitched thing had to go.

The dance party continued with Snoop Dogg coming out to rap his part on the song sans his typical pimped out ensemble. When we thought it was over, Derulo transitioned into ‘Talk Dirty,’ where he not only formed a human pyramid with his dancers but also invited 2 Chainz onto the stage.

The only issue with bringing on the ‘I’m Different’ rapper was that the first half of his performance was censored out. Either way, the performance was fun, dance-y and a little dirty.

Michael Jackson Hologram Performs 'Slave to The Rhythm' at 2014 Billboard Music Awards

Las Vegas is clearly a city of big lights and surprises, and one of the biggest surprises tonight was when a hologram of Michael Jackson appeared on stage to perform ‘Slave to The Rhythm’ at the 2014 Billboard Music Awards.

Similar to the illuminated image of Tupac Shakur performing at the Coachella Music Festival in 2012, some might say watching the hologram was part breathtaking and part eerie, because not only did the image seem realistic, it was amazing how the hologram kept perfect timing with the backup dancers, who came on stage dressed in black as armored soldiers.

At the start of the performance, a bright image of Jackson appeared sitting in a gold colored throne, sporting burgundy pants, a gold jacket, and a white bejeweled belt, looking very much like the artist we’ve loved throughout the years.

And between the outfit, the classic Michael Jackson dance steps–including his usual pelvic thrusts — it could have easily been the year 1999 when the ‘Billie Jean’ singer still ran the radio and the airwaves.

Some in the audience even shed a couple of tears over the performance, which was probably due to the late singer sounding so good, and his image appearing so real. For hardcore Jackson fans the nostalgia might have been a little too much to take. But the actual performance still came off flawless.

Jennifer Lopez Rules Billboard Music Awards Red Carpet With Scarlet Number

Jennifer LopezFrazer Harrison, Getty Images

While artists across the board brought chic and glamour to the red carpet the 2014 Billboard Music Awards on Sunday night (May 18), Jennifer Lopez definitely brought the spice, sexiness and sass with an outfit that is red hot but looks a just a tad familiar.

With endless layers of silk chiffon, it looked like J.Lo floated down the red carpet tonight and did so with such style. From Donna Karan’s 2014 fall collection, the floor-length rich red number showed all her leg and just enough skin up top with the low neckline.

While there’s no doubt it’s sexy, the ensemble is a bit reminiscent of the infamous green Versace gown from the 2000 Grammy Awards. Of course, she couldn’t wear the same thing twice. So with the inclusion of a bodysuit of the same shade, the outfit looked a bit more modest.

J.Lo continued to show off her assets during her performance of ‘We Are One (Ole Ola),’ with Pitbull and Christina Leitte at the opening of the show. Dressed in a fringed golden number, she sparkled as she put it all out there on the dance floor.

Aside from being on stage to perform the official 2014 World Cup anthem and show opener, Lopez will also be honored the Billboard Icon Award, making her the first female to receive the title.

Iggy Azalea Performs 'Fancy' and Joins Ariana Grande on 'Problem' At 2014 Billboard Music Awards

Since Iggy Azalea had to perform twice at the 2014 Billboard Music Awards on Sunday (May 18), it only made sense for ‘Fancy’ and her collaboration with Ariana Grande, ‘Problem,’ would be done back-to-back.

The set kicked off with those distinct bouncey bars that introduce the beginning of ‘Fancy.’ Azalea takes us to the football field with a team of cheerleaders behind dressed in their uniforms with “Fancy” written across their chests. To stand out, the Aussie rapper and her partner on this track, Charli XCX, were dressed in black and white plaid cheerleader outfits with red trim and ‘rebel’ written on them.

With the team behind them doing flips and jumps, the duo owned the song as they usually do. With the song doing so well on the charts and in radio, some may have wished that the song wasn’t cut short. But the show had to make sure Ariana got her time in the spotlight.

As Iggy and Charli went off stage, the saxophones blared, and the “football field” turned into a ’60s mod party. Keeping with the black and white theme, Ariana wore black and white patent leather dress and knee high platform boots to match and entering the stage in a go-go dancer cage.

Even though we see her showing her sexier and more grown side, her sleek ponytail and simply made up face still proved that she’s still super sweet opposed to a full-on sexpot. However, one can’t deny Grande’s voice. As she got down with the choreography, she made sure to have just enough breath to belt out those high notes.

Meanwhile, without a costume change, Azalea runs in and goes straight into her verse. And while the collaboration between the R&B/pop princess and the ‘Work’ rapper was a little awkward, the two played off each other well.

Jay Z, Solange Elevator Fight Gets Parodied on 'SNL'

Of course, last week’s big news was the Jay Z and Solange elevator fight that was caught on tape. The good folks at ‘Saturday Night Live’ decided to skewer the now-infamous slap-fest in their opening skit of the show’s season finale.

Along with their official statement, Jay Z (played by Jay Pharoah), Solange (played by Sasheer Zamata) and their bodyguard (Kenan Thompson) explained to the audience that the security footage was misconstrued.

According to Solange, she was helping her brother-in-law brush a spider off his shoulder because of his arachnophobia.

To prove it, they replayed the tape with the audio we all wanted to hear.

“Oh my god there’s a spider on you,” screams Solange. “Get it! You know I hate spiders,” says Hov as he instructs her to get the spider off by kicking him. At the end of the clip, Solange gives Jay another slap just to make sure the spider was actually gone.

It all sounds logical. Ha!

In addition, ‘SNL’ alum Maya Rudolph made a surprise appearance doing a spot-on impression of Beyonce. Queen Bey told her side of the story through lyrics of her chart-topping songs, including ‘Drunk in Love.’

Overall, it was a funny sketch.

In real life, however, the trio released a statement saying that the incident was a private family matter that has been resolved.

Did Stevie J Get Arrested For Drug Possession? (@hitmansteveJ)

Stevie J might be in a heap of trouble with the Georgia Police.

According to Bossip, the producer and star of Love & Hip Hop Atlanta was arrested on Friday for drug trafficking after he was found with a large amount of marijuana.

The arrest allegedly happened in Crawford County in South Georgia.

While the star seems to spend a lot of time in North Atlanta, nearly over an hour away from Crawford County, the rumor is questionable. He was also seen at a fight over the weekend where Shay of LHHATL hit a woman in the head with a bottle.

If the rumor is true, the reality star would have spent the entire weekend in a cell and would most likely be released on Monday.

Stevie has seen a lot of trouble in the past few weeks. His beef with Nikko over Mimi's sex tape was seen on and off the show and his former friend has accused him of stealing her luxury items to use as props for his Atlanta home.

More on this story as it unfolds.

Shay of LHHATL Smashes Bottle Over Woman's Head at Cast Party (@ShayJohnson @Hitmansteviej)

Over the weekend, Shay Johnson of "Love and Hip Hop Atlanta" fame was involved in a nasty brawl with a friend of co-star Joseline Hernandez that ended with hair pulling and broken Ciroc bottles.

In a video that emerged online yesterday by Shooters World Productions, the fight occurred at a nightclub where Shay, Momma Dee, Lil Scrappy, Stevie J and Joseline were making an appearance. The group appears to be in the VIP section when the altercation began.

In the beginning of the video, Shay is seen arguing with a woman who is sitting down before hitting her in the face with a Ciroc bottle. Shortly after, the woman pulls Shay by the hair towards the couches.

While security tried to break up the fight, the woman is seen with blood all over her face. Stevie J and another man are seen taking the woman out of the club.

It isn't known if the women knew each other before the fight, but the brawl will most likely be played out on the show.

Cam'Ron Discusses Relationship with Just Blaze (@Mr_Camron @JustBlaze)

With the release of the new Dipset track "Dips***s" earlier this week, Cam'ron sat down with MTV to talk about his informal reunion with legendary producer Just Blaze.

The rapper, who will release his Federal Reserve EP with A-Trak this summer says none of the producers including Just, A-Trak and Oliver were in the in studio at the same time when the song was made.

"It's been a long time — maybe ten years," Cam said. "I just had a show with Just, actually, in D.C. about three weeks ago. So, me and Just are still in communication and we're still good, but we haven't actually been in a session together for a while."

Just Blaze also spoke with MTV and shared the process of creating the group's new single.

"With the way technology works these days, A-Trak can come bring me a session, and I can end up changing the entire thing," he said. "I was working on the master to that record up until eight hours before the video came out."

The track took up to a month to finish as he added Dame's rant and some live instrumentation.

"As soon as I sent A-Trak the final, they synced it up to the video, and the video went up the next morning."

Cam, who has a long history with the producer says that the two will make more music in the near future.

"We've been speaking but I don't have a date when we'll be in studio," he said. "It's not 'x'd' out. I would love to work with Just again."

Exclusive! Ty Dolla $ign Talks Joining Atlantic Records (@tydollasign, @shawnbarron)

Ty revealed that his good friend Shawn Barron, who happens to be an A&R at Atlantic, set up a meeting with the label, and that while several labels were in contact, Atlantic offered him the best deal.

While Ty respects artists who go the indie route, he is content with his decision to sign to a label with the clout of Atlantic.
