Kat Dahlia doesn’t beat around the bush. Songs like her gritty piano-driven ballad ‘Gangsta’ and the candid gem ‘Crazy’ are proof enough that she has no problem getting straight to the point. When the Miami songstress got involved in The Boombox Twitter Takeover, she stuck to the script, answering fans’ questions in frank fashion.

The singer, whose debut album, ‘My Garden,’ arrives in January 2015, answered a wealth of topics from marriage proposals to her favorite song at the moment. Then there was a specific question regarding her ‘Gangsta’ lyrics, “But I know the difference between a man and a herb.” Does she really know what separates the two? According to the 24-year-old, there’s a specific New York rapper who comes to mind when making the distinction.

Although Mary J. Blige released a video for ‘Right Now’ earlier this month, the Queen of Hip-Hop Soul decided to drop another one. This time, the songstress serves up a more glossier visual than the previous black-and-white clip.

In MJB’s newest video, directed by Michael Ho, we find her being chauffeured in a black Bentley as she views the the streets of London. At her final destination, Blige jumps out of the vehicle, takes off her fur coat and throws down at a local nightclub.

The club scene is especially exhilarating as the crowd goes bonkers watching Blige perform her soulful hit and doing her infamous two-step dance.

Mary J. Blige’s ‘The London Sessions’ is shaping up to be one of the best R&B albums of 2014. The collection, due out on Dec. 2, features production from Rodney Jerkins, Jimmy Napes, Sam Smith, Naughty Boy and Disclosure.

In addition, you can catch MJB performing on the upcoming American Music Awards. ABC will air the event live from Los Angeles on Nov. 23 at 8PM ET.

Cam'ron Gets High on 'Touch the Sky' With Wiz Khalifa and Smoke DZA

Cam’ron is teasing the release of his new EP, ’1st of the Month Vol 5,’ with a blazing collabo, ‘Touch the Sky’ featuring Wiz Khalifa and Smoke DZA.

The Harlem rapper pays homage to the 1976 horror flick ‘Carrie’ as he opens the song. “I do what I have to do / They say, ‘You little bastard you / Look man, they’re all gonna laugh at you,’” raps Cam. “Smoke a blunt and touch the sky… God Cam, I can tell they ain’t used to you.”

Wiz and DZA come through with more odes to weed. “Pounds on the floor, guns on the wall / If there’s money to make then I’m makin’ the call,” raps Wiz. “Blood on my chain, weed in the jar / Weed in the air, two pits in the yard.” DZA chimes in with, “TNT, pullin’ up but we don’t talk to swine / Send the corner pies, hustlers since Karl Kani / Breakin’ nights, blowin’ blunts on Morningside.”

TLC's 'Waterfalls' Covered by Bette Midler

TLC‘s classic song ‘Waterfalls’ receives the cover treatment from a living legend. Singer Bette Midler takes on the trio’s 1995 chart-topping hit ‘Waterfalls.’

In her version, Bette slows down the cautionary track and adds live instrumentation. The cut is from the 68-year-old’s tribute album, ‘It’s The Girls!,’ which finds the songstress covering tracks by famous girl groups like the Supremes and the Chiffons.

“A long time ago I fell in love with voices in harmony,” Midler said in a press release to the Advocate. “In particular, the sound of female voices singing together. There were so many great girl groups in those days, I still listen as avidly as I ever did. This record is a small attempt to honor them for all the joy they brought to me and the world.”

‘It’s The Girls! is out Nov. 4.

As far as color blocking goes, they get straight to the point in either red, black or white and each one is splashed with Supreme across the heel as well as ‘World Famous’ on the ankle strap. The 94 emblazoned on the heel tab lets onlookers know exactly when Supreme was established.

We hate to be the bearer of bad news but these gems are only releasing in Los Angeles (Oct. 23), London (Oct. 23) and Japan (Oct. 25), which leaves New Yorker’s out in the cold. Actually, it literally won’t them sneaker heads in the Big Apple out in the cold at all since there won’t be a line snaking around the block. The kicks retail for $130 a pair but we can’t help but wonder what the mark up will be.

Juicy J Drops New Songs 'Trash' and 'All I Need' Featuring K Camp

Juicy J knows how to make infectious street music to make your head nod. On Thursday morning (Oct. 23), the veteran rhyme-spitter delivered two bangers that will garner multiple replays.

On the sinister ‘Trash,’ the Three Six Mafia founder spits boastful rhymes about his success while giving the middle finger to the haters.

“My d— got an ego / Your p—- better fit a f—in’ kilo / Spent 20 racks in the shower / My soap worth more than your album / 37 hundred dollar dinner / Let the waiter write his own tip, n—- I’m livin’,” he raps.

On Juicy J’s second tune, ‘All I Need,’ which features K. Camp, the rapper slings ratchet lyrics about the things he needs in life — women, money and weed.

Over eerie productions courtesy of Big Fruit, Juicy relays his laundry list of vices.

“I’m ’bout my bread, gettin’ throwed, gettin’ blowed / Gettin’ trippy, gettin’ lit on these h-’s, f— ‘em slow / In my cup, purple punch, high as f— / Twenty dab, hundred for the thousand dollar tab / Conjure my cab,” he raps.

Overall, both songs showcase Juicy J’s skills for making infectious street/club songs and further proves that he’s at the top of his game.

It looks like Nicki Minaj is a single lady. Apparently, the ‘Anaconda’ rapper has dumped her rumored boyfriend Safaree Samuels (aka Scaff Breezy).

According to TMZ, Minaj and Breezy have separated after 14 years of dating despite never publicly acknowledging they were a couple.

The pair reportedly called it quits because Samuels was tired of being her hype man and wanted to pursue a rap career on his own. The last straw came when the burgeoning rapper didn’t show up to a gig and Minaj had to quickly find another hype man. When she confronted Breezy, he apparently went ballistic.

Breakup rumors initially spread earlier this week after a shirtless Samuels was photographed with his chest and arm tattoos of the Queen Barbz covered up with other ink work.

Both Minaj and Samuels have yet to comment on their relationship status.

If Samuels did break up with the Young Money superstar, he doesn’t seem too upset about it. The 31-year-old rhymer is steadily posting Instagram photos of himself living the glamorous life and promoting his new music.
