Iggy Azalea Fires Backs at Her Detractors, Not Bothered by 'Cemented Opinions'
Iggy Azalea has finally broken her silence. After A Tribe Called Quest frontman Q-Tip took it upon himself to give the ‘Fancy’ rapper a brief rundown on hip-hop’s roots and T.I. chimed in with his own sentiments about the industry’s barbed comments towards the rap star, she’s taken to Twitter to express herself.
Before tweeting on Monday night (Dec. 22), everyone from artists to critics to fans gave their two cents concerning the supposed privilege and excessive promotion the Australian import has been receiving over the past year — Azealia Banks being the most vocal about her mark on hip-hop culture.
Azalea finally put out a blanket response, addressing the backlash. “i find it patronizing to assume i have no knowledge of something I’m influenced by, but I’ve also grown up with strangers assuming that,” she wrote on Twitter. “so its completely fine and I’m used to it by now. i don’t lose any sleep over it. im also not going to sit on twitter & play hip hop squares with strangers to somehow prove i deserve to be a fan of or influenced by hiphop.”
She continued to express herself, stating that she’s not bothered by “cemented opinions.” Check out Iggy’s complete response below.

Kevin Gates Stays on His Grind in 'I Don't Get Tired' Video With August Alsina
Rapper Kevin Gates and singer August Alsina, two of Louisiana’s finest, have teamed up to create an anthemic street banger called ‘I Don’t Get Tired (#IDGT).’
The dynamic duo just dropped a video for the song, which salutes those who stay on their grind 24/7. With edited footage of his tour life, people in the neighborhood and his family, Gates gives a personal look at the hustle that made him a recognized name.
“I was tryna get it how I live, I want them dead presidents / I wanna pull up, head spin / Getting, get fly. I got six jobs, I don’t get tired,” he spits.
Meanwhile, Alsina chimes in with his verse, “Only meaning one thing, don’t get tired, I go hard / Don’t play with the hustle, you in or you starve / Don’t mimic pretenders, just be who you are.”
Directed by Jon J, the video celebrates the entrepreneurial spirit of those who strive to secure a better life for their families.
If you love this get-money banger, you can listen to it on Kevin Gates’ latest mixtape, ‘Luca Brasi 2,’ which is available at Datpiff.com.

Logic Discusses Frank Sinatra's Influence, RattPack Movement [EXCLUSIVE VIDEO]
Wiz Khalifa and Mac Miller’s strong legion of fans didn’t just blossom overnight. The rappers built their following organically, which inspired Logic to do the same. The rapper discusses the art of building a movement in The Boombox’s ’16 Bars’ series, citing Frank Sinatra as a “debonair” man who influenced his career and alter ego.
The ‘Under Pressure’ rhymer opens up about his early struggles forming a group and details how Sinatra’s lifestyle gave him an idea on how to incorporate some class and character into his brand. Besides his recording career, Sinatra is known for being the boss and was met with respect whenever he stepped into the room. Logic created his alter ego, Young Sinatra, after the famed singer for that reason.
With Wiz’s Taylor Gang on his mind, Logic also formed the RattPack — the “Ratt” stands for “Real All the Time” — which is a nod to the phrase coined in the 1960s to describe a group of actors including Sinatra. The rhymer didn’t have to force his “pack” into existence; his fans just followed along.
“I think some of the biggest most extraordinary things in music and in pop culture today is the fact that they’re not scripted and they are organic,” Logic tells The Boombox.

Janelle Monae Is a Sexy Elf in Christmas-Themed Photo
Janelle Monae is known for combining funk and fantasy with her defiant style. But for the holiday season, the ‘Electric Lady’ decided to have fun and dressed up as an elf.
Over the weekend, Monae’s BFF had a pajama-themed birthday party and shared the fun moments on Instagram. The ‘Q.U.E.E.N.’ singer and her good friend, Mykal Monroe, donned elf pajamas and took “elfies” — not selfies — for the world to see.
Sitting on a white couch, Monae looks sexy and svelte in her red-and-green-striped leggings and matching green-colored top. Her hair is in a curly afro as well. In another photo, the singer is laying upside down while her BFF is wearing a king’s crown and flaunting her booty.
“HBD to my crazy bestie @mykalmonroe! I truly have the best times when you are there. Love you to pieces B. #pjammyjam #herbdayparty #sagitarriusgirls,” Monae writes in the caption.
Overall, the dynamic duo make the perfect Santa’s little helpers. Don’t you think?

Jodeci Address Domestic Violnce on 'Nobody Wins' Featuring B.o.B
After debuting their new song ‘Nobody Wins’ at the 2014 Soul Train Awards with B.o.B, Jodeci officially release the effort along with an accompanying lyric video. The song centers on domestic violence, which has been a big part of the national dialogue since football player Ray Rice assaulted his wife earlier this year.
K-Ci’s lyrics detail a heated argument as dark images appear including a woman lying in a hospital bed and a couple pushing each other. “Lets talk about this, I’m glad that you missed / You almost tore up my face, we can afford to buy another place,” he sings.
B.o.B. spits at the beginning and at the end of the song with a rapid, in-your-face flow, which works well next to Jodeci’s smoothed out harmonies.
“We don’t see the same, and we don’t speak the same / But if we don’t get s— right this go ’round then we ain’t gonna beat the game / Can see the pain, we entertain, when disagreements turn into blame / Then heated words turn into flames, under your skin it just aggravates,” he spits over light drums and a looped vocal sample.
The former Uptown Records group is currently working on their reunion album, which will arrive in 2015.

Nike Kobe 9 Elite 'What The'
Kobe looks to bring us a “WTF” moment early next year by releasing a recap colorway of the Nike Kobe 9 Elite. The ‘What The’ model is a shoe that references all of his past releases and ties them all together in a clever way.
The shoe strings past colorways together by using bits and pieces of each model in the form of brightly colored Flywire panels, a white upper with reflective tonal graphics and a print liner that mixes messages from previous releases. There’s a lot going on with this model but it still comes across as cohesive and feels like a shoe that should drop in the spring.
You won’t have to wait until the flowers bloom to purchase this Nike Kobe 9 Elite colorway as they are scheduled for a Jan. 10 release. They also won’t be uber-limited either, which is the best news of all.

Logic Explains His 'F— Everybody' Mindset [EXCLUSIVE VIDEO]
Logic is only one album deep in the game, yet he comes off as remarkably self-assured. The rapper, who debuted ‘Under Pressure’ in October, sat down with The Boombox for a new episode of ’16 Bars’ to speak about his “f— everybody” mindset.
He speaks about his upbringing in a home heavily affected by drugs. Logic says that such obstacles gave him a harder life than your favorite rapper. However, he’s learned to not let that completely define him.
“The biggest thing I learned during this entire thing, especially going into this album, is f— everybody except the homies,” Logic says. “Because I know who I am, and I know that I’m blessed, and I know that I do my best to be a positive and good person.”
Watch what he has to say about his worldview and touch on how he made ‘Under Pressure’ above.

Nike Air Flight 89 'Black Reptile'
It’s always interesting when you see a company take a sneaker customizer’s approach to launching a new colorway because it can go really right or really wrong, really fast. Luckily, Nike didn’t overdo it with this Nike Air Flight 89 and turned in a very luxe Black Reptile model.
Casting the shoe in black was the smartest decision the designers made; it makes the use of snakeskin-printed leather against suede feel subtle. The white midsole brings the pop appeal and is met with flecks of white as the perfect intermediary design element.
These look like the perfect shoe for expert or beginner fashion enthusiasts as they maintain elegance without feeling inaccessibly designed to death. They’re available now at spots like Afew in Germany.
