Suge Knight Kills a Man After Running Him Over With His Car
Suge Knight has killed a man and injured another on a movie set in Compton, Calif., Thursday (Jan. 29).
According to TMZ, The Death Row Records founder pulled up to the shoot, where Ice Cube, Game and Dr. Dre were in attendance. Two men, who were apparently part of the film crew, instigated a fight with Knight, a source says, which caused him to jump back in his vehicle and throw it in reverse. While doing so, Knight hit a bystander, killing him.
Terry Carter, the deceased victim, is reportedly Knight’s friend, who was with him when he arrived at the location. A source reveals that Carter was killed when Knight floored the gas because he was walking to the passenger door of the car.
The other injured victim is Cle “Bone” Sloane, who suffered non-life threatening injuries. Sloane was likely on set due to a role in the film, considering he has appeared in ‘Training Day’ and ‘End of Watch.’

Iggy Azalea is sounding off on Twitter once again, but this time she’s directing her anger towards shoe designer Steve Madden. The rapper, who teamed up with the brand last year to create her own new line, is furious due to a “disgusting” photo shoot they released without her approval.
Steve Madden released the visuals for the new shoe line on the company’s Tumblr page earlier today (Jan. 29). The brightly colored images were just not to Iggy’s liking so she unleashed her anger on Twitter and blasted Steve for failing to consult with her first before the images were put out for public consumption.
Unfortunately, the ‘Beg For It’ rhymer has already deleted the tweets, but you can read them below, thanks to the Fader.
She wrote:
“Everything in a collaboration is supposed to be mutually approved. But Steve Madden did the most disgusting photo shoot ever and never…”
“Even told me about it, I’m just now seeing it as its uploaded on some random tumblr page and i am livid.”

The Steve Madden Tumblr page has since been set to private. However, Twitter user @NationIggy grabbed the images and has been sharing it around the ‘net.

Jagged Edge's Kyle Norman Arrested for Assaulting Fiancee [VIDEO]
Jagged Edge are known for their classic love songs, but one member is singing a sour note in jail. On Thursday (Jan. 29), J.E. member Kyle Norman was arrested on aggravated assault charges after allegedly beating up his fiancee.
The incident happened at his Atlanta home where, according to police, Norman got into a heated argument with his fiancee about his excessive drinking.
CBS46 reports that the unidentified victim had injuries to her nose, eye and a golf ball-sized knot on her forehead. The victim also told police that Norman punched her, shoved her engagement ring down her throat, broke her cell phone and prevented her from leaving the home.
When the victim was able to calm Norman down, she grabbed his cell phone and ran to a neighbor’s home where she called 911.
Authorities later caught up with Norman outside of the home who shouted to them, “I need to go to jail.” The R&B singer said that he was upset about his dad having cancer and that’s the reason why he started arguing with his fiancee.
Norman is still locked up in Fulton County Jail because of an outstanding warrant unrelated to this latest incident. The 38-year-old singer will have a bail hearing on Friday (Jan. 29).

The-Dream Sets His Sights on Another Woman in 'That's My S—' Video Featuring T.I.
The-Dream might be a married man now but in his video for ‘That’s My S—,’ he’s got his eyes on another woman at a mysterious mansion party.
Directed by Alex Herron and produced by Jay Tauzin, Dream and T.I., who’s got a featured verse on the track, look like dapper gentlemen who attend an exclusive soiree filled with women dressed in lingerie. As Dream follows a particular masked woman throughout the estate, he eventually meets up with Tip to play dice in the hallway. As the video progresses, he eventually finds her swimming (presumably nude) in the pool and even gives him a private dance at his throne.
‘That’s My S—’ is a new single off his upcoming EP, ‘Crown,’ drops on March 31. He reunites with repeat collaborator, producer Tricky Stewart.

For i-D’s cover shoot, Rihanna traveled to Paris and shot with photographer Paolo Roversi. Alastair McKimm, the British magazine’s Fashion Director, was amazed by Rihanna’s poise and fearlessness.

Bobby Shmurda, Rowdy Rebel and GS9 Enter Not Guilty Pleas in Drug, Gang Case
Today (Jan. 29) marks the first courtroom phase for Bobby Shmurda and his GS9 crew, as the rappers face a New York City judge in a hearing to enter pleas in their respective cases.
According to XXL, Shmurda, as well as his associate Rowdy Rebel, plead not guilty to charges stemming from their Dec. 17 arrest. Shmurda was indicted for conspiracy to commit 2nd degree murder, conspiracy to commit 2nd degree assault, as well as other weapons and narcotics related charges while the ‘Computers’ rapper was charged with attempted murder, attempted assault, reckless endangerment, criminal possession of a weapon and conspiracy.
Other GS9 members also entering a plea of not guilty include Santino “Cueno” Boderick, Remy “Fetti” Marshall, Rashid, “Rasha” Derissant, Brian “Meeshie” Harvey, Deshain “Mitch” Cockette and Alex “A-Rod” Crandon. Cueno is reportedly accused by the state of being the ring leader in many of the shootings.
Each person, a total of 15, gave their not guilty plea to Judge James Burke, while their lawyers attempted to lower bail. However, the judge refused and would not consider the request until the next court date on April 22.
There were about 50 people in the courtroom including family, friends, reporters and curious folks.
The drama for the crew came right smack dab in the middle of Shmurda’s meteoric rise to fame, as his ubiquitous song ‘Hot N—-’ quickly took him from unknown rapper to global superstar. But all of that was abruptly halted on Dec. 17, when the crew was arrested outside of Quad Studios in New York. They were hit with 69 charges, including murder, attempted murder, narcotic sales and a host of others.
Shmurda, whose bail is currently set at $2 million, is facing 25 years to life in prison. He recently had a gun charge dropped as part of a formality so it can be included when the Special Narcotics team brings their case to court.

It looks like the war between Lil Wayne and Cash Money Records is in full swing as the rapper slapped Birdman with a $51 million lawsuit. Few details were known about the litigation until now.
Billboard has obtained the 21-page lawsuit and it shows Weezy’s contract with Cash Money and what he believes he’s owed and why. In essence, it all comes down to dollars and cents.
In the suit, Tunechi claims he’s owed $10 million for the recording and completion of his very delayed ‘Tha Carter V’ album. This is in accordance with the contract, which stipulates that Cash Money agreed to pay Wayne an advance of $8 million per solo album with another $2 million payment upon the delivery of the said album.
Wayne also alleges that Cash Money has failed to pay him profits and royalties as it relates to his artists on Young Money, LLC. In addition, the ‘Believe Me’ rapper wants copyright ownership of all YMCMB recordings, which includes Drake, Nicki Minaj and others.
In the end, as we previously reported, Wayne wants to take his artists and leave Cash Money.
It’s a very complicated lawsuit with tons of money and music involved. So yes, $51 million is at stake here and this is going to be one tough legal fight.
TMZ is now reporting that Universal, Cash Money’s parent label, is forcing Birdman to settle with Wayne. On the flip side, Weezy told sources that if Cash Money ponies up the $10 million he is owed, he will retract the lawsuit.
Rumors and speculation aside, it’s all up in the air right now. Hopefully, Lil Wayne and Birdman can work out an amicable settlement.

Fashawn Debuts 'Guess Who's Back,' 'Ecology' Tracklist + Tour Dates
After the success of his 2009 debut LP, ‘Boy Meets World,’ Fashawn is back with a new track and more details for his sophomore album and spring tour.
Appropriately titled, ‘Guess Who’s Back,’ the song is actually about his experiences in his hometown of Fresno, Calif. The Beewirks-produced tune will immediately grab you and get your head bopping to the gritty mid-tempo beat and Fashawn’s confident rhymes.

Graffiti has come a long way and while its practitioners are still bombing the streets, Haze has decided to bomb your feet. Nike tapped the lauded New York City graffiti artist to take on the legendary Air Force 1 and the result is absolutely stellar.
You’d expect a graf writer to turn in the busiest colorway imaginable. However, for Haze’s collaboration, we’re left with a simple black pebbled upper and white leather accents including a leather midsole. Hints of personality pop up on the heel tab and outsole, which are emblazoned with his trademark asterisk and arrow. The lining bursts forth with broad stroke scribbles.
This limited edition release will be available at NikeLab‘s 21 Mercer St. location in New York starting on Jan. 30. These are definitely worth picking up if you’re in the market.

Sam Smith Will Give Beyonce Album of the Year Grammy If He Wins
Sam Smith has garnered six nominations for the 2015 Grammy Awards, including Album of the Year for ‘In the Lonely Hour.’ But the British crooner will have to contend with Beyonce, whose self-titled album is also nominated in the same category. Shockingly, Smith said that he wouldn’t mind if Queen Bey beat him for the golden gramophone.
In a candid new cover story for Rolling Stone, the 22-year-old singer, who is a devoted Beyonce fan, revealed that if he did win the coveted Album of the Year trophy, he would give the honor to the R&B songbird.
“She deserves it way more than I do,” he says. “I’d be embarrassed if I got it over her. If I got it, I’d give it to her.”
That would certainly be an awkward Grammy moment if that did happen. Plus, it would be a little embarrassing for Beyonce, since she already has 17 awards sitting on her mantle.
Having said that, Smith’s ‘In the Lonely Hour’ is certainly one of the finer R&B albums that was released in 2014. So the crooner deserves the award as well as the other nominees in the category like Ed Sheeran (‘x’), Pharrell Williams (‘G I R L’) and Beck (‘Morning Phase’).
Smith is getting prepared for his first performance ever at the Grammy Awards. The singer admitted to Rolling Stone that he’s on a cayenne-pepper juice diet in order to lose some weight before the big night.
“I just want to lose weight for the Grammys,” he said. “I’m just very body-conscious. Sometimes I’m really proud that I don’t look like other pop stars. But there’s also moments where I’m like, ‘Ugh, I wish I had abs like Bieber.’”

Dr. Dre Sells Hollywood Hills Mansion for $32.5 Million
The dollars just keep rolling in for Dr. Dre. After making a killing by selling his Beats by Drre headphones to Apple, the veteran West Coast producer just sold his Hollywood Hills home for $32.5 million, according to TMZ. Now hip-hop’s go-to guy is adding even more dollars to the billion-plus that he has in the bank already.
Just last spring, the good doctor plunked down a whopping $40 million to purchase the former home of NFL quarterback Tom Brady and his supermodel wife, Gisele Bundchen.
Zillow.com lists Dre’s old crib as having six bedrooms, nine bathrooms, a media room, a wine cellar, a guest house, a library, a pool and a breathtaking view. It’s also located miles above the Sunset Strip.
Dre’s original asking price for the home was $35 million, so he almost received the full amount. However, it’s not like the former N.W.A. member is hurting for cash, so he probably wasn’t too upset about the $2.5 million loss.
Congrats on making even more millions, Dr. Dre.

Kanye West Sings to Daughter North in 'Only One' Video
After Kanye West released ‘Only One’ earlier this month, he showed us a softer side of himself that we don’t get hear too often by serenading his daughter North on the song. Now we get to see even more of that tenderness in the video for the track.
Directed by Spike Jonze, the visual feels more like a home movie, as he captures a special father-and-daughter moment. Set on a relatively gloomy day in the middle of a field, we see Kanye brimming with joy as he walks around with North.
The rapper shared the visual on ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’ today (Jan. 29). He also revealed why he’s been much calmer these days and how his family has really changed him. “I’ve learn how to shut up more,” he admitted to Ellen. “I think I’m a better human being because of her and because of my daughter. And I always have someone to think about going home to.”
According to ‘Ye, the past few years were “suffocating” for him because he was bound to only one project or brand. And now that he’s working with Adidas, he’s a much happier person.
“I was going through my version of the Terrible Twos,” said West. “My daughter, she wants to express herself but she just doesn’t have the words for it. For me, there’s so many things I want to do with film and clothing and I just didn’t have the words or the resources or the backing or the perception that I could do it being a rapper.” West also credits his Adidas deal with “allowing him some oxygen.”
And now that two new Kanye songs have dropped — Rihanna’s ‘FourFiveSeconds’ being the other — Ellen had to ask about when the new album is coming out. “I don’t know yet,” he told her. “We’re still trying to find it. Trying to find the vibe,” West said. “This transition from what I felt when I did Yeezus to what I feel now, and we’re just creating, so we haven’t found it yet.”
