T.I.'s Response to 'Blurred Lines' Case: 'I Will Be Exonerated' [VIDEO]
The “Blurred Lines” case has been a hot topic ever since the Marvin Gaye family won a $7.3 million judgment against Robin Thicke and Pharrell Williams. Now T.I. is caught in the legal crosshairs of the Gaye estate for his involvement in the hit song. Tip has recently spoke out about the case and feels he didn’t do anything wrong.
In an interview with TMZ, the Atlanta rhymer was asked about the Gaye family coming after him for his contribution in the chart-topping hit song. T.I. doesn’t seem concerned about the case but wanted to make it clear that he didn’t steal anything.
“I have nothing but admiration and respect for the legacy [of Marvin Gaye] and I have nothing but support and extreme admiration for my partner Pharrell,” he said.
“I know that I’m a writer, I’m a creator. I don’t steal from anybody creatively when I make my music,” he adds. “I think that anybody with common sense will be able to see that when they listen to it.”
The cameraman started fumbling some more questions at Tip, but the rapper stopped him short to give his last comment about the “Blurred Lines” case.
“Whatever happens, it’s out of my hands…I will be exonerated,” he said. “I know I did the right thing and I [didn’t] intend to steal from anybody with any of my material.”
As we previously reported, the late soul crooner’s family filed additional motions to have T.I., as well as several record labels, pay up as it relates to the production and distribution of “Blurred Lines.” The Gaye family insists that they are not trying to stop the sale and distribution of the song, but rather negotiate an agreement so that Marvin Gaye gets credit and future royalties from the song.
As for T.I., it looks like he wants to legally duke it out with the Gaye family. It will be interesting to see how this case will end up.

Rae Sremmurd Explode Onstage at Hype Hotel for SXSW 2015 Performance
Mississippi duo Rae Sremmurd didn’t take the stage at Hype Hotel for SXSW in Austin, Texas on Friday night (March 20) so much as explode on to it. A wild, exhilarating blast of power and noise, the rap tandem steamrolled through a breathless 45-minute set, the only aim of which was apparently to flatten everything in their paths.
They largely succeeded. By far the week’s most frenetic and galvanizing rap set at SXSW, Swae Lee and Slim Jimmy were whirling dynamos onstage, leaping into the air, bouncing from one end of the stage to the other and hollering their lyrics at a breakneck pace. Their songs are perfectly suited to the live setting. The production is minimal; most of them consist of little more than stomach-hammering bass and eerie, icicle-drip synths, leaving plenty of space for the duo to charge through.
Opening with “No Flex Zone,” their voices raced and lunged, adding invisible exclamation points after every word in the hook and punching the air frantically for extra emphasis. Another song, “Unlock the Swag,” heaved and lurched, blue-light bass notes groaning behind the Brown brothers’ booming voices. “Illest Walking” was a white streak of sound, their voices pitching gradually upward as the song progressed until they were practically screeching at its conclusion. The song was a masterclass in controlled dynamics; it started creeping and ominous, then gradually worked up to full detonation. “Up Like Trump” was even more harrowing, stabbing synths lunging between cavernous percussion.
But Rae Sremmurd’s most effective instrument was their own voices; they at times seemed to defy the laws of physics, delivering syllables faster than the human ear could process them. Every sound was short and clipped and pummeling. They blitzed through “That Got Damn,” manic and worked up.
They also had a flair for the comical. For the majority of the set, members of Rae Sremmurd’s crew held up giant cardboard cutouts of the brothers’ faces behind them. It was knowingly cartoonish, but ultimately unnecessary – Rae Sremmurd were larger than life on their own.

It looks like Nicki Minaj is having a lot of fun on her European leg of the Pinkprint Tour. On Friday (March 20), her trek landed in Frankfurt, Germany and suffice to say, the Barbz were happy to see her. So much so, one fan allow the Queen Barbz to get a little touchy-feely.
During her set, Minaj invited two of her loyal fans to join her onstage. However, one German fan caught the “Truffle Butter” rapper’s eyes. Minaj shared some photos on her Instagram account of the German fan she was quite enamored with. “Brought these two on stage tonight. This girl was so pretty and had the best boobs,” she wrote in the photo’s caption.
The Young Money superstar then squeezed her boobs much to the fan’s delight. The female concertgoer even showed Minaj her tongue. “She wanted to get it poppin so I got it poppin right back. I’m not kidding. Tittieez on fleek,” Minaj wrote.
If you haven’t cop tickets to Minaj’s U.S. tour, then what are you waiting for? And who knows, if your boobs are on fleek you might get a chance to have Minaj squeezed them in front of a sold-out crowd.
The North American leg of the Pinkprint Tour kicks off on July 17 in Dallas, TX. Tickets are on sale now.

Did Rihanna throw a subtle jab at her ex-boyfriend Chris Brown. Well, maybe. While promoting her upcoming animated flick Home, the R&B superstar discussed briefly her past relationship in reference to her favorite animated movie.
In an interview with Time magazine, RiRi was asked what was her favorite childhood movie. “I fell in love with the Beast,” she said with a laugh, clearly referencing the 1991 Disney film Beauty and the Beast. “Pretty much my dating record so far.” Ouch!
Now without naming who the Beast is, many fans have guessed that Rihanna was talking about Brown, with whom she had a very tumultuous relationship with for five years. Their courtship ended in 2009 when Brown brutally assaulted her before the Grammy Awards ceremony.
Ironically, Brown has completed his probation stemming from his assault charge in the case. The singer, along with attorney Mark Geragos, appeared in a Los Angeles courtroom on Friday (March 20) where a judge finally put a close on the case after the singer served six years of probation.
“IM OFF PROBATION!!!!!!!! Thank the Lord!!!!!!” Breezy tweeted after the hearing.
But back to Rihanna. The “FourFiveSeconds” singer is love life is reportedly blossoming right now. The Bajan beauty has been linked to actor Leonardo DiCaprio although there hasn’t been an official confirmation that they are in fact a couple.
Rihanna’s animated film Home , opens in theaters in 3D on March 27.

Glastonbury Co-Founder Defends Booking Kanye West Despite Fan Petition
Kanye West is having a phenomenal year so far, but it looks like some fans wants to rain on his parade. The rapper-producer has been tapped to headline London’s annual Glastonbury Festival, but U.K. fans want him to go away.
According to CBS, Neil Lonsdale, a longtime Glastonbury attendee has started an online petition, calling for organizers to cancel Yeezy’s performance and “prevent this musical injustice.”
Lonsdale spared no words, writing, “Kanye West is an insult to music fans all over the world. We spend hundreds of pounds to attend Glasto, and by doing so, expect a certain level of entertainment. Kanye has been very outspoken on his views on music….he should listen to his own advice and pass his headline slot on to someone deserving!”
In an interview with NME, Lonsdale made it clear that his actions weren’t an attack on hip-hop, but were solely motivated by West himself. “My beef is not with the genre. My beef is with the stage and the fact it’s a headline slot,” he said before adding that the G.O.O.D. Music honcho doesn’t “represent anything.”
And it looks like Neil Lonsdale isn’t the only one with these feelings, as over 100,000 people have signed the petition and made it known that everyone in the U.K. are not happy with West performing at the festival.
However, Glastonbury co-founder Emily Eavis stands by the decision to book West. In an editorial for the Guardian , she writes that the petition is “a bit silly” and states that West is performing at the festival in support of various charitable causes.
“He has agreed to play a festival where headliners get paid a fraction of their normal rate in support of Oxfam, Water Aid and Greenpeace as well as thousands of other worthy causes. We think that’s pretty great,” she writes.
