NFL Player Slams Future Rookie for Coming Out as Gay (@pcrayton12)

Soon-to-be NFL rookie Michael Sam made history on Sunday when he publicly announced he is gay, meaning he'll be the first ever openly gay professional football player. While most folks, including several NFL players, sent out tweets of admiration and encouragement, at least one player isn't happy with Sam's decision to come out.

Patrick Crayton, formerly a Cowboy and currently a free agent, ripped Michael Sam in an extended Twitter rant. He accused the Missouri defender of coming out for the purpose of seeking attention, and claimed the NFL will be damaged by the inclusion of an openly gay player.

Man Arrested for Blazing It Up in Maternity Ward

A Florida man found himself behind bars earlier this month after puffing on some weed while his lady was going into labor in the next room.

Jupiter resident David Bastin was arrested after a nurse in the infant delivery unit at Stuart, Florida's Martin Medical Center phoned cops after getting a "whiff of spliff." An officer arrived and noticed an odor of marijuana on the man,

"Officer Cernuto asked the defendant to make this simple and hand me the cannabis. The defendant reached in his right pocket and handed Officer Cernuto a black oblong device that the defendant called a vaporizer. Officer Cernuto opened the device and there was a green leafy substance that I know from my training and experience to be raw cannabis," reads the police report.

Bastin was booked in the Martin County jail on $1,500 bond and charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Snow Plow Blasts Man Right Off His Feet With Wave of Snow

Some poor sod in Brooklyn was walking along minding his own business when he had his morning ruined after a wall of snow kicked up by a plow literally knocked him off his feet.

The incident was caught by the security cameras of the adjacent car dealership, and the dealer owner said the snow hit with such force it broke the store's glass doors.

Innocent Men Finally Released After Serving 22 Years In Jail

Antonio Yarbough and Sharrif Wilson, the men who were convicted in the 1992 murder of Yarbough's mother, 12-year old sister, and little cousin were freed after a DNA evidence proved that they were innocent.

In 1992, Yarbough was sentenced to 75 and Wilson 9 years to life in jail over the murders. Now both men int their late 30's spoke to CNN about the ordeal.

Another factor that played into their long prison sentence was Wilson providing a false confession about the crimes in exchange for a shorter prison sentence. In an interview with CNN Wilson says that he was terrified. "I was scared, afraid; I was lied to, manipulated into believing that I was going to go home, if I do tell ... what they said happened." Wilson was only 15 years old and Yarbough 18 at the time of their conviction.

Yarbough says he forgives Wilson and knows that he was manipulated because the same thing happened to him. When asked if he thinks the killer of his family will ever be found, he says that "It is in God's hands now."

Kanye West Commemorates 'The College Dropout' 10-Year Anniversary on Twitter

Today (Feb. 10), the hip-hop community is celebrating the 10th anniversary of Kanye West‘s debut LP ‘The College Dropout,’ which is considered one of the most important and influential hip-hop albums of the past 10 years. The occasion is big enough to make West break his Twitter silence.

In his tweets, the lauded MC thanks collaborators and fans for their support in helping create ‘The College Dropout’ while promising to continue creating art for those fans “to be proud of.” This series of tweets is his first since the picture of his A.P.C. fashion collaboration in January, and his first non-promo tweet since his Mandela dedication in early December 2013.

West has progressed quite a bit from the soul sampling of his debut. The abrasive sounds of ‘Yeezus’ are a far cry from that era, although that project did end with the soulful ‘Bound 2.’ The Chicago native is also commonly believed to have lost the humility from his earlier days, but as his second-to-last tweet suggests, he’s always exhibited a brash sense of confidence in addition to his unmistakable talent.

Drake Releases OVO Tour Jacket With Roots Canada

Drake keeps the October’s Very Own fashion collabos coming. The rapper is partnering with Roots Canada to launch his 2014 tour jackets.

According to Drake’s official website, the varsity-style leather jacket is available in black and white or green and white. Featuring his crew’s signature owl or OVO stamp on the back, the front of the jacket showcases all of the rapper’s album titles to date.

The jackets don’t come cheap. Expect to pay $458 for each. They are available at the Roots store in Toronto on Bloor Street West beginning Feb. 15 at 10AM. Roots is known for high-end leather goods, made in Drake’s home country of Canada.

T.I., Justin Bieber Spotted in Studio Together

Justin Bieber started off 2014 with some legal issues but he seems like he wants to get back on track — or at least back to the music.

The crooner was recently spotted in the studio with T.I. The Toronto star linked up with the self-proclaimed King of the South during a trip to Atlanta.

Bieber simply titled the photo, “In the studio with TI.” There’s nothing on where the results of the studio session will show up, if there’s any, but Bieber is expected to release a new album this year.

T.I.’s kids are the ones who immediately benefited from the recording session. Messiah and Domani got to hang with Bieber along with T.I during the singer’s visit.

The duo’s collaboration may be the first of multiple rap collaborations for Bieber. He also recently shared a photo on Instagram of himself partying in the club with Rick Ross, Diddy, Wale and Jermaine Dupri.

RZA to Defend Chess Title at Charity Tournament

With the latest Wu-Tang Clan album finished and just waiting to be be released, RZA has been spending his time preparing to defend his title at a celebrity speed chess tournament.

Taking place on Feb. 16 in Los Angeles, RZA will go up against seven other speed chess players to defend his title. He was the first Hip-Hop Chess Federation winner in 2007, and received a heavyweight belt unlike the typical trophy at other chess tourneys.

“I am looking forward to the upcoming chess battle at the HHCF Chess Kings Invitational in Los Angeles,” he warned his competitors. “To those knowing I have to defend my belt, get ready to protect ya neck.”

RZA, an ace chess player, is also the director of development and champion of the Hip-Hop Chess Federation.

Working with Crowdtilt.com, the Hop-Hop Chess Federation is also holding an online fundraiser to teach chess and non-violence to youth. Proceeds from the charity tournament will go towards expanding the organization to Los Angeles.

T-Pain Addresses Homophobia in Hip-Hop

T-Pain isn’t shy about calling people out on their homophobic views. And in his recent interview with VladTV, he addresses members of the hip-hop community and their issues with being “gay-friendly.”

“Dude, if you ain’t gay, then gay things shouldn’t bother you,” he said during the interview. “Like gay people shouldn’t bother you.”

He later continued, “I think the radio is getting more gay-friendly. I don’t think urban music is getting more gay-friendly because if that was the case, Frank Ocean would be on a lot more songs. I know n—-s that will not do a song with Frank Ocean just because he gay, but they need him on the f—ing song and that’s so terrible to me, man.”

He also talks about his gay assistant, who hasn’t been directly affected by homophobic comments. However, the ‘Up Down (Do This All Day)’ rapper also feels like other people avoid approaching him because his assistant is there.

“People don’t f— with him, but like people don’t f— with me because he’s around me,” he explained. “People feel like, ‘Oh I want to say something to Pain, but that gay dude is right there.’ And it’s like, ‘He ain’t looking for you, n—-.”

It looks like love is in the air for Nipsey Hussle and Lauren London. Rumors are swirling that the rapper and actress are getting cozy with each other.

According to the gossip blogs, fans spotted ‘The Game’ star backstage at Hussle’s North Carolina concert stop.

Although Hussle and London are mum on their relationship, fans have pointed to Hussle’s Instagram page where he posted a photo of the beautiful actress. The photo features London wearing a “Crenshaw” hoodie with the caption, “I fux w yo style. U should b somebody stylist.”

The line refers to Hussle’s song ‘Between Us,’ which details a woman he’s been dealing with. The rapper also raps, “Fly out to Atlanta, you played that role that you poppin.” London made her acting debut in the coming-of-age movie ‘ATL’ so he could be referencing her with those song lyrics.

London has been attached to several big-names in the music industry. In the past, she has dated R&B crooner Trey Songz and rapper Lil Wayne, who is the father of her 4-year-old son.

Ashanti Unveils 'Braveheart' Tracklist

Ashanti is preparing to release her new album ‘Braveheart’ on March 4. The R&B singer debuted the tracklisting to her collection, which boasts some impressive features.

The 13-track LP (15 tunes if you buy the deluxe version at Target) include guest appearances from French Montana, Jeremih, Beenie Man and Rick Ross, who appears on the lead single ‘I Got It.’ The video for the song is expected to premiere later this week. Ashanti will also film a visual for her follow-up single, ‘First Real Love,’ in Jamaica with Beenie Man.

In the meantime, the 33-year-old singer is busy writing music for the upcoming Tupac biopic, which is slated to open in theaters in 2015.

Indiana Pacers baller Paul George caused quite the stir earlier this week when news broke that he had allegedly impregnated a Miami stripper named Daniela and then offered her a cool milly to get an abortion. While many were appalled by the allegations, some reveled in the schadenfreude -- possibly none more so than his former boo, Jennyfer.

Tweets and re-tweets from Jennyfer that came after the news broke made it very evident that she has absolutely no sympathy for George, and instead finds the situation quite funny. Check them out above.

In a statement to TMZ Sport, George says if the baby turns out to be his, he'll man up and do the right thing. "If and when there is legal confirmation that I am the father, I will fully embrace my responsibilities. This is a personal matter that is still being sorted out, so I hope you can respect my privacy."

As for the rumor of a million dollar abortion offer, a spokesman for George says it's absolutely false. "There is no truth to the rumors that Paul offered money for [Daniela] not to have the child."

Ma$e Speaks On Almost Slapping J.Cole and His Place In Hip-Hop (@MasonBetha @JColeNC)

Mase is back in Hip-Hop and doesn't mind competing with the younger generation.

In an interview with Detroit's Hot 107.5, the rapper talked about his return to music, his time as a pastor and his issue with J.Cole.

When asked if he's a fan of the new generation of Hip-Hop, the rapper points out a few favorites like Meek Mill, Drake and Kanye West. He also added that he likes J.Cole when the rapper isn't talking about him.

On his platinum album Born Sinner, the Cole mentions the rapper on the track "Forbidden Fruit." "Cause a nigga poppin' like Harlem in the nine-seven/ way before Mase was a reverend." When Ma$e saw Cole, he thought about slapping him but decided to let it go because 'he's just a kid.'

"Ï like J.Cole when he's not taking shots at me. I saw him one say and I was gonna hit him but I was too grown to be knocking light skin people out."he said."But that's my generation. If we see you and you say something on a record, it's action, but when I saw him I thought he's a kid he don't get it."

The rapper also talks about burying the hatchet with Jim Jones and working on new music.

Was Love and Hip Hop's Mendeecees Released From Prison? (@mandeecees @yandysmith)

The case of Medeecees Harris may be a free man according to recent reports.

The Love and Hip Hop star was arrested in January 2013 and charged with narcotics conspiracy and money laundering. Over the summer, rumors surfaced about Harris facing 20 years in prison and even reports that he was already sentenced. None of the rumors were true as we saw on the past season of LHHNY. Fiance Yandy Smith voiced repeatedly that Harris didn't even have a bail hearing until October.

Now it looks like Harris may have been released quietly sometime last year. Uptown Magazine has reported that his co-defendant Ronald Walker pleaded guilty to the same charges Harris faced and will do 10 years in federal prison. The magazine also noted that since November 2013, no public records were made for Harris and his attorney has stated that Harris isn't in federal custody.

According to it's Wikipedia page, the act an extreme sexual high for bug chasers because of the dangers it contains. It was highlighted in 2005 with the documentary called The Gift about people who want to fit in with the HIV/AIDS community.

Soon after treating fans to his new song ‘Ordinary,’ Trey Songz delivers another new effort, ‘Who Do You Love (Remix).’

Giving YG‘s ‘Who Do You Love’ a makeover, Trey gives some shine to the many ladies he’s met around the U.S. He also addresses the male haters he’s come across over the DJ Mustard-produced beat.

“I’m that n—- in ya city, but a n—- from Virginia,” he delivers. “I know you don’t love me, you never the same when Drake’s around / I know you don’t love me, you scream and holler when CB’s in town.”

Alicia Keys and John Legend joined forces for a powerful cover of the Beatles’ ‘Let It Be’ at ‘The Night That Changed America: A Grammy Salute,’ which premiered last night (Feb. 9) on CBS.

“It’s a song that’s comforted generations with its beauty and its message,” Legend explains before starting to play.

Following the same set that Paul McCartney had in the original video for the song as well as following their signature performance styles, Keys and Legend sit at two grand pianos facing each other. The lauded entertainers take turns singing the track and have moments where they harmonize as well.

Aside from the emotion that they both emit during the performance, the clips of McCartney singing along tug a bit more at the heart strings, making it one of the memorable performances of the evening.

Lil Boosie's Scheduled Prison Release Postponed

Fans waiting for Lil Boosie to come home from prison will have to wait just a little bit longer. According to reports, the New Orleans rhymer’s release date has been postponed.

As we previously reported, Boosie was expected to walk out of Louisiana State Penitentiary on Feb. 13. Now it looks like he will be released in March.

On Friday (Feb. 7), L.A. Weekly reporter Jeff Weiss, who has spent time interviewing Boosie for Rolling Stone magazine, went on Twitter to give an update on his release date.

The Baton Rouge rhymer has been incarcerated since 2009, after being arrested for violating his probation. His sentence was then extended after he pleaded guilty for smuggling contraband into the facility.

Once Boosie is released from prison, he will be placed on supervised probation until June 17, 2018. According to his brother, Taquari Hatch, the rapper will spend most of his time in the studio and prepping a tour.

“He has plans to go straight to the studio to begin working on an album as well as his tour in late spring, early summer,” he said.

Man Named Universal Allah Busted After Robbing Priceless Violin

With a name like Universal Knowledge, this guy doesn't know much.Two men were charged this weekend after stealing a violin in broad daylight in January.

According to WISN News 12, 41-year-old Salah Salahadyn and a man named Universal Knowledge Allah were charged with robbery after stealing the Stradivarius violin from Frank Almond outside of Wisconsin Lutheran Community College in Brookfeild, Wisc.

Salah, claims that Allah told it him it was a dream of his to steal the prized violin because it's worth was in the millions. Salah admitted to telling Allah to buy the taser gun used in the robbery. Allah was also charged for marijuana possession.

French Montana is keeping himself busy. His next project won't be his own, but his boss Diddy's new solo album.

According to SOHH, the rapper posted a video on Instgram of Diddy listening to some beats with the caption, "Studiovibe executive producing my brother new album @iamdiddy #mmm get ready #getready." The album, possibly titled MMM will also have a track produced by Mike Will Made It. Prior to Diddy's project with Diddy Dirty Money, his last solo album was Press Play in 2006.
