Twitter Comments on Alonzo Mourning's Flip Phone
Former NBA player Alonzo Mourning is still a fan of flip phones.
During Saturday's Heat-Nets game in Brooklyn, the 44-year-old retiree was seen playing around on his phone. Other sports heads like Jerry Jones and Jimmy Haslam are also still rocking with the technology of yesteryear.
Alonzo's wife Tracy Mourning even commented on her husband's phone usage, stating that iPhones and Androids don't peak his interest.
"He has no desire to upgrade his phone," she tweeted. "He even has extra phones just in case he needs the parts. #oldschool #flipphone

College Basketball Star Calls Micheal Sam Kiss 'Sickening' (@MichaelSamNFL @NativeFlash22)
Another player has voiced his opinions about Rams player Michael Sam's kiss with his partner on ESPN.
According to TMZ, Ole Miss player Marshall Henderson commented on Sam's special moment with his partner on Twitter.
"Boycotting sportscenter til this Michael Sam nasty a** s*** is off. My brothers are 7 and 11 and saw that!!! #SICKENING."
Don Jones previously made statements regarding the kiss that left him with a fine and a suspension from the Miami Dolphins. Henderson however, claims that his statements were all one big project.
The player took to Twitter soon after the backlash to state that his tweets were part of a special experiment by his friend who happens to be gay.
"One of my best friends, WHO IS GAY, is about to graduate in psychology, asked me to say these things so he can have responses." He tweeted.
Ole Miss athletic director Ross Bjork commented on Marshall's insensitive comments.
"I'm extremely disappointed & we do not condone the statements made by our former bball player" he said. "We believe in respect & dignity for all......"
On top of his apology, Henderson also praised Sam for his deal with the Rams.

Hotel 'Shocked and Dissappointed' Over Leaked Footage of Solange Attack on Jay Z
It’s only been a few hours since the video of Solange attacking Jay Z surfaced, and the internet has gone wild with the news. The one question on everyone’s mind: how did the footage get released?
The fight took place at the Standard Hotel in Manhattan’s Meatpacking District. It’s likely that a security guard or an employee videotaped the surveillance footage and shared it with TMZ. If it was someone working for the hotel, he or she might as well kiss their job goodbye. At least that’s what a PR rep for the hotel says in a statement.
“We are shocked and disappointed that there was a clear breach of our security system and the confidentiality that we count on providing our guests,” said the Standard Hotel’s publicist. “We are investigating with the utmost urgency the circumstances surrounding and, as is our customary practice, will discipline and prosecute the individuals involved to our fullest capacity.”
There’s no word yet on what made Solange attack Jay Z. It’s doubtful we’ll ever know the full story considering how private Hov and Beyonce are. Let’s just hope Solange is the one to shed some light on the subject sooner than later.
Rapper Christ Bearer Explains Why He Cut Off Penis
Remember when rapper Christ Bearer cut off his penis in a suicide attempt last month? Well, he’s alive and well. The Wu-Tang Clan affiliate has come forward to explain why he committed such a grisly act on himself.
The 40-year-old rapper tells TMZ that he was feeling very depressed and lonely over not being able to see his daughters because of a restraining order.
While smoking weed and reading a book about monks and vasectomies, Bearer decided to mutilate himself and jumped off a two-story building.
While that isn’t the best of news, there is a happy ending in all of this.
Plastic surgeons were able to successfully reattach his penis and make the body part functional again. Unfortunately, he will be unable to bear children in the future. Ironically, Bearer does have another child on the way.
As far as his membership status as a Wu-Tang affiliate, Christ Bearer states, “I am the f—ing Wu-Tang.”
Tre Mason Drafted by St. Louis Rams, Hip-Hop Community Shows Support
It’s possible that Maseo, the DJ of the legendary group De La Soul, wanted his son Tre Mason to follow in his footsteps and have a music industry career. However, the path that Tre is following is far from spinning records.
That’s because Tre was drafted by the St. Louis Rams as the 75th pick on Friday (May 9). He also joins the first openly gay player, Michael Sam, on the team.
Mason was also a star running back for the Auburn Tigers, running for 1,816 yards in the 2013 season. Earlier this year, The Boombox reported that the 5-foot, 10-inch running back would be heading to the draft.
After the news quickly spread, Maseo received a bunch of congratulatory tweets about his son being drafted, including one from DJ Jazzy Jeff. “St. Louis Rams got a Gem,” tweeted the Philly legend, which Plug Three definitely appreciated. “Thanks, Jeff. I really appreciate that from you,” he replied.
Of course, Mason heading to the Rams is just his first step as an NFL running back. He’ll have to prove himself to his coaching staff and his teammates in order to get decent playing time, but he’s definitely showed tons of passion for the sport, which was applauded by his famous father back in January.
“…I’m truly proud of my son. I am inspired by his love and passion for football,” Maseo wrote.

Trey Songz Gets Caught Cheating in 'SmartPhones' Video
After seeing his sexy video for ‘Na Na,’ it’s not too surprising that Trey Songz went for an even steamier visual for ‘SmartPhones,’ a song featured on his upcoming LP, ‘Trigga.’ But instead of being one big, hot party, he’s caught in a naughty act that gets him in trouble.
The video starts off with him speeding his way home. While we already see him playing with his phone while driving, it gets worse when we see his car is full of ladies, which turns into one big orgy by the time he gets home. Although there’s nothing wrong with a guy just having some fun, it’s obvious that Trey has a girlfriend, referred to as “Babydoll,” on his phone.
Just when we think he’s done his dirty work and can walk away without getting caught, he accidentally dials his girlfriend — she hears him in the middle of a steamy romp in the bed. After realizing he’s caught, Trey rushes over to his girl’s place. At this point, she’s tossed all of his stuff into the pool then dives in herself.
The singer rushes to her side and pulls her out, but she’s not happy with his rescue methods. His lady love fights him off and pounds her fists on his chest as she sobs. While we can applaud her for pushing her cheating man away, the video ends ambiguously with the two on the grass in each other’s arms.
Does she break up with him? Or do they work it out? Maybe we’ll find out in his next video.

Wale Debuts 'Keep the Hustle' Featured on 'Million Dollar Arm' Soundtrack
Wale is as versatile a rapper as they come. On one hand, he holds the poetic-driven music that’s established him with his core fan base. Then on the other hand, the MC creates street bangers and more commercial records. He’s sticking with the latter for his latest song, ‘Keep the Hustle,’ featured in the new Disney film ‘Million Dollar Arm.’
The song is produced by A.R. Rahman, who also scored the film. And although producing hip-hop records is a departure for the longtime singer, songwriter and composer, he does a good job of making a contemporary-sounding track, even though it’s vastly different from what Wale usually spits over.
Plus, having a song on a Disney movie soundtrack will undoubtedly expose the Washington, D.C. lyricist to a whole new group of fans, just like it did for Pharrell with ‘Happy’ being on the ‘Despicable Me 2′ soundtrack.
As far as the lyrics go, Wale sticks with a never-quit-and-keep-on-striving theme.
“Swing for the fences I’m a beast / I’m the reason all the people leaping out their seats / I guess if it came easy everybody would be good / Had to get my mind right to climb up out the hood,” spits the rapper over traditional Indian sounds.
It’ll be interesting to hear what Wale’s hardcore fans think of this new track. Although the MMG artist has a musically eclectic side — just listen to the records he’s done with Mark Ronson — some fans may think he’s reaching too far.

Chief Keef Speaks On Chiraq: Our City Hates Each Other (@ChiefKeef)
Chief Keef may seem like the poster child for Chiraq, but the rapper doesn't want to be associated with it.
According to Kollege Kidd, the rapper took to Twitter this weekend to air out his frustrations with the city and the violence that inspired the ironic "Chiraq" term.
"I ain't from Chiraq I from Chicaglo," he tweeted. "I left after I made them who they are today"
He also shared his disappointment in the city.
"Our City Hates Eachother."
Fans have been waiting for the rapper to make his own version of Nicki Minaj's "Chiraq." The single has been remixed by Meek Mill, Lil Durk, Tyga, G-Count and more.
