Beyonce Sends 90 Roses to Family of Fan Who Died From Cancer (@Beyonce)

Beyonce sent a sweet note with 90 white roses to the family of one of her biggest fans last week.

According to the Daily News, 15-year-old Chelsea Lee James lost her battle with leukemia on April 21. The 15-year-old met her idol Beyonce when she was 10-years-old at a concert in Sydney. The two met again four years later and Bey dedicated "Survivor" to her. Beyonce also dedicated her song "Halo" to James and even texted James her excitement about seeing her again.

"You have no idea how happy you made me seeing you," she said. "I will see you next time I'm in Australia."

Sadly, the teen lost her battle with cancer before they could meet again.

James' family posted a photo of a special note with the white roses to the family's Facebook page.

"Love and prayers to you and your family," the note read. "Chelsea was a beautiful girl and I am so happy I was able to meet her."

Lil Za Strikes Deal to Reduce Felony Drug Charges (@LilZa)

Justin Bieber's good friend Lil Za has struck another deal for his legal troubles with the police.

According to TMZ, Za pleaded no contest to felony drug and vandalism charges. ZA was charged with two counts of felony drug possession with drugs like Ecstasy and Oxycodone after police found Za next to the open drugs during a raid at Justin Bieber's house.

The raid stemmed from information about an egg throwing incident which is still investigation.

Just last week, Za was off the hook after breaking a jailhouse phone. His charge was dropped from a felony to a misdemeanor and was ordered to pay reportedly $600.

The judge has promised to reduce the felony drug charges to a misdemeanor. If Za completes his drug program and continues community service programs, he will be off the hook.

Lil Wayne and Drake Working on 'Tha Carter V' [VIDEO]

Lil Wayne‘s love of sports has been well-documented, which is why some might not be surprised that Floyd Mayweather is doing a little promoting of the rapper himself. Today, the lauded boxer posted an Instagram video of Wayne and Drake in the studio together.

“#Carter V Season. #BelieveMe,” wrote the boxer in the post, which is similar to what Kobe Bryant tweeted earlier this week when he mentioned Weezy’s new album, ‘Tha Carter V,’ was coming soon.

The 15-second clip shows Drizzy and his mentor in the studio bopping ferociously to a beat. Although the video contains its own backing music, which sounds like a xylophone loop, it’s hard to tell if that’s the actual track they’re listening to.

Of course, this isn’t the first time Wayne and Mayweather have teamed up. In 2013, during the boxer’s fight against Canelo Alverez, he was escorted into the ring by the Young Money head honcho, along with pop sensation Justin Bieber.

50 Cent Receives Shout Out on Senate Floor During Minimum Wage Speech [VIDEO]

You know your name is bigger than hip-hop when folks in Washington D.C., start shouting you out.

That’s exactly what happened to 50 Cent as Sen. Barbara Boxer, D-Calif., mentioned his name during an impassioned speech about minimum wage Tuesday (April 29). And although she got his name right and avoided saying “Fitty Cent” (like a lot of folks outside of hip hop do), she wasn’t sure if the rapper was a solo artist or a band.

“Eighteen increases in the minimum wage since 1956,” she stated. “Suppose the other side had taken that attitude, ‘Don’t raise it.’ Well it would still be I guess a buck an hour, 50 cent if you’re a kid. Today 50 Cent is a singing group, right? Am I right about that?”

The error was incredibly adorable for some reason, and besides that, what Boxer was saying is true, because if it were up to some on the right side of the aisle, the minimum wage wouldn’t have shifted one bit in the past few decades. We wonder if the 50 Cent reference will make Republicans fight raising minimum wage even harder.

Watch All-Female Brass Band The Original Pinettes 'Ain't No City' Video

New Orleans is a city with an incredibly rich musical history and culture. These days we tend to associate the beautiful and resilient city with hip-hop hometown heroes like Lil Wayne and Jay Electronica but way before rappers from N.O. like Master P and Juvenille made their mark on music New Orleans was known for its jazz tradition and, of course, its brass bands.

At Red Bull’s 2013 Street Kings competition four bands competed for the coveted title, bragging rights, and the chance to work with the architect of Cash Money’s sound, producer Mannie Fresh as well as famed horn player Troy “Trombone Shorty” Andrew.

The competition was stiff but when the dust settled the world saw that sometimes Street Kings are actually Street Queens because the all-female Original Pinettes Brass Band emerged victorious the first women ever to do so. The ladies of the Pinettes spent three days in Red Bull Studios New York working on orginal music with Fresh and Trombone Shorty and the final product is ‘Ain’t No City,’ a rollicking ode to their city and its sound.

Plies, Cassidy Diss Donald Sterling in New Songs

In light of the NBA’s recent decision to serve Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling with a lifetime ban, rappers Plies and Cassidy have expressed their thoughts on the situation through their songs.

Both rappers addressed the 81-year-old owner and the racist comments he made in an exposed audio tape, leaked to TMZ and other websites.

On the abrasive ‘Donald Sterling: Racist Muthaf—a,’ Plies compares Mr. Sterling to a modern day slave master.

“Said you made us mutherf—a? Nah, we made you,” he spits, adding, “You just grind our f—ing wave, until our value is gone, smile in a n—-’s face and talk s— when you get home.”

Meanwhile, Cassidy throw a lyrical dart at Mr. Sterling while spitting his freestyle over a remix of Future’s ‘Move That Dope.’

“The Clippers owner Donald Sterling should get the hell smacked / How the man don’t like n—-s when most of the Clippers the hell black? / Well if that’s the case, then racism ain’t over yet,” he raps. “The people need to boycott ’cause that s— was lame / That’s hatred, if you not racist, you should never go to a Clippers game.”

Plies and Cassidy’s diss songs follow behind several rappers reactions to Donald Sterling being banned from the NBA. Both Diddy and Rick Ross have expressed interest in buying the Los Angeles Clippers franchise.

Lil Boosie Refuses to Follow Today's Rap Trends

Lil BoosieAtlantic Records

Lil Boosie thinks hip-hop is trendy at the moment and he refuses to change his sound to fit in with his rap peers.

In an interview with XXL, the 31-year-old spitter reveals that he respects people following certain trends to sell records, but he’s going to keep his music free of today’s fads. This means you probably won’t hear Boosie shouting out “turn up” in any of his rhymes.

“I am not trying to sound like nothing that’s out right now,” he says. “I think you start to do that when you listen to these guys so much. If you listen to somebody, that’s just life. If you hang around a certain amount of wrong people, you start doing wrong. If you hang around positive people, then you start doing positive things. So when you listen to these dudes, in that same venture, you go and try and make that music that’s similar to them.”

The Baton Rouge, La., native has been fairly busy since his release from prison on March 5. He reportedly plans to debut two albums this year, one on July 15 and the next one closer to Christmas.

Exclusive! Steven Hirsch: Mimi's Tape Sold Faster than Kim K's (@mimifaust)

Vivid Films executive Steven Hirsch spoke to VladTV about the recently released Mimi & Nikko Sextape, and how the pre-sale and sales numbers did far better than anyone at the company imagined.

"The pre-sales were shockingly unbelievable. By pre-sales I mean people were coming, joining the site, paying and understanding that the tape wasn't being released 'til a week after that. These are people who really wanted to see the tape."

He spoke on the popularity of the tape compared to that of Kim Kardashian and Ray J, saying Kim's tape had a much slower start since she wasn't a big celebrity yet, while Mimi and Nikko are already reality show stars with a huge fanbase.

http://ift.tt/1hIZ5JB

Ariana Grande returns with a mature new single called ‘Problem,’ which features in-demand rapper Iggy Azalea. The infectious song features the pop songbird kicking an inattentive lover to the crib.

Iggy backs her homegirl up and tells the unforgiving beau, “I got 99 problems but you won’t be one.”

Looking at both covers, they both obviously used the same close-up shot of them biting a gold chain with gold grills on display, with Kolley's mixtape "RNS" dropping 6 weeks before Khaled's single. Is it similar enough for Kolley to take legal action? Only time will tell.

V. Stiviano: I NEVER Had a Romantic Relationship With Sterling (@laclippers)

Alleged mistress of LA Clippers owner Donald Sterling, V. Stiviano is now claiming that not only did she not leak the now infamous racial argument between the two, but that she was never even involved with Sterling romantically.

Stiviano's lawyer Mac Nehoray spoke to the Los Angeles Times to once again relay that she did not leak the audio, but that someone else did for a fee.

"Someone released it for money, but it wasn't Stiviano. My client is devastated that this got out."

When asked about her reaction to Adam Silver banning Sterling from the NBA, the response was simply "She's very saddened."

Nehoray then claimed Stiviano never had ANY romantic involvement with Sterling, ever. As reported by the LA Times:

"The attorney also said that Stiviano and Sterling never had any sort of romantic relationship and descriptions of her as his mistress in a lawsuit filed by Sterling's wife are false. Sterling's wife, Rochelle, sued Stiviano last month in an effort to reclaim a $1.8-million apartment, luxury autos and cash Sterling gave her."

Firstly, this has the public questioning all the "honey, baby" references on the recording. Also, is it possible he gifted her such extravagant gifts as a "friend?" If they were gifts, how is the wife suing for embezzlement?

With that said we don't think Jay-Z knows what he's talking about when he calls Lacrosse 'soft' I can guarantee you it is anything but a 'soft' sport. Kid Cudi Sounds Off on Justin Bieber's Bad Behavior in Esquire Magazine

Kid Cudi Justin BieberKevin Winter, Getty Images

Over the past year, Justin Bieber has been blasted time and time again in the press for his wild antics (remember his egg-throwing scandal or when he urinated in a nightclub mop bucket?). Things have gotten so crazy that Americans have even started a petition to get the Canadian pop star deported. Now Kid Cudi opens up about the 20-year-old singer’s misbehavior.

“I hope to God that [Bieber] goes through all this s— and realizes, ‘Damn, I was wilin’,'” the rapper tells Esquire. “He got a couple more mistakes to make, and he need to make them. When you’re in our position, you are single-handedly responsible for multiple people’s livelihoods. When I was on cocaine, I would lash out at whoever was closest. I got comfortable having everything I wanted. So everybody loses their way, because it’s not normal. But you have to get to that point where it’s like, ‘All right, man, let’s grow up.’”

Even though Cudi has dealt with his own drug problems, he admits to the men’s lifestyle magazine that he hasn’t completely grown out of his childish ways. However, unlike Bieber, he does have a bit more respect for what other people do — like those in the service industry.

“I still do juvenile s— here and there,” Cudi states. “But I’m not doin’ no dumb s—, like pissing in mop buckets, because I got respect for people’s s—, and I lived a real life. I used to work at restaurants where I mopped the floor. Justin Bieber hasn’t worked a real job, ever, in his life. So he don’t know what it’s like to fill that mop bucket, go to work, see that motherf—ers didn’t clean it the night before and you have to pour it out and put clean water in there. He didn’t think about that, because he’s just a kid. He ain’t lived.”

Cudi finds that he shouldn’t even be critiquing Bieber for his actions as the rapper isn’t his father — something he’s pretty grateful for. “I don’t usually have anyone telling me when I’m wrong in my life,” the ‘Satellite Flight: The Journey to Mother Moon’ creator shares. “There’s no one telling any celebrities ‘don’t.’ No one is telling Miley Cyrus ‘don’t.’ No one is telling Justin Bieber ‘don’t.’ But it’s not even my place to speak about that boy. I don’t even know why I got into it. He ain’t my son, thank God.”

Kid Cudi’s latest LP, ‘Satellite Flight: The Journey to Mother Moon,’ is out now. To read the rest of his interview with Esquire, click here or check out the upcoming May issue.
