That Sh*t Cray: Wildest Hip Hop Album Covers of All Time

Visual expression has always been a major component of hip hop. Graffiti and tagging, which was (and sadly still is) looked upon as a scourge by the mainstream, is recognized as a legit art form by those connected to the culture -- it's a way for the artist to tell his or her story in a very direct and visible way.

Hip hop album artwork exists in the same space; its a form of portable graffiti, and rap artists over the years have used it to highlight the meaning of their music. Like a primitive tag on a wall or an intricate mural on a train car, each cover conveys a story.

We've gathered some of the most unique hip hop album artworks of all time. Check them out up top.

Paul George's Ex Clowns Him on Twitter for Knocking Up Stripper (@paul_george24 @jennyferdeanne)

Indiana Pacers baller Paul George caused quite the stir earlier this week when news broke that he had allegedly impregnated a Miami stripper named Daniela and then offered her a cool milly to get an abortion. While many were appalled by the allegations, some reveled in the schadenfreude -- possibly none more so than his former boo, Jennyfer.

Tweets and re-tweets from Jennifer that came after the news broke made it very evident that she has absolutely no sympathy for George, and instead finds the situation quite funny. Check them out above.

In a statement to TMZ Sport, George says if the baby turns out to be his, he'll man up and do the right thing. "If and when there is legal confirmation that I am the father, I will fully embrace my responsibilities. This is a personal matter that is still being sorted out, so I hope you can respect my privacy."

As for the rumor of a million dollar abortion offer, a spokesman for George says it's absolutely false. "There is no truth to the rumors that Paul offered money for [Daniela] not to have the child."

You can see a few IG flicks of Jennyfer and the stripper in question up top as well.

According to Popcrush, the police are anxious to charge Justin with a felony for allegedly throwing eggs at a neighbors home. Even though the police didn't find any evidence linking Justin to the crime, the L.A. County Sheriff's Department sent the case over to the D.A who wants Justin be prosecuted with a felony. The decision will be made in a week.

In an unrelated incident, video has surfaced of the singer's arrest in Miami from a few weeks ago. Check it out above.

K. Michelle Tackles Relationship Issues in 'Can't Raise a Man' Video

Singer K. Michelle returns with a new video for ‘Can’t Raise a Man,’ one of the standout tracks from her debut album ‘Rebellious Soul.’

In the Benny Boom-directed visual, the R&B songbird gives cautionary advice to ladies who think they can change their man’s destructive behavior. The clip is intermixed with rotating narratives of three women dealing with infidelity, domestic abuse and drug addiction — all from their respective boyfriends.

The ‘Love & Hip-Hop’ star has more music on the way. She plans to drop her new mixtape ‘Still No Fucks Given’ on Valentine’s Day. In addition, K. Michelle will hit the road with Robin Thicke on his North American tour beginning Feb. 21 in Atlanta.

K. Michelle also posted on her Instagram page an appreciative message to her Rebels (aka “her fans”). Peep it below.

Who Flipped It Better? A$AP Rocky vs. Spice 1

S.O.S. Band

Be real: your parents probably made love to the S.O.S. Band. Don’t be ashamed. They had enough taste to breed someone like you, and you read The Boombox, so it’s not all bad.

You can’t really go wrong with the Atlanta R&B/funk-electro band that birthed fantastic songs like ‘The Finest,’ ‘Take Your Time,’ and ‘Weekend Girl.’ You can probably put on their “Best Of” collection and float to somewhere much nicer than earth. S.O.S. Band didn’t have a ton of chart-topping singles, but their influence continues to echo throughout hip-hop today – just look at the song that put A$AP Rocky over the top.

A$AP Ty was the architect behind Rocky’s first big song, ‘Purple Swag,’ which brought Harlem to the masses in a purple haze of smoke and syrup. It was a little slow, though, and perhaps too smoked out for most, so Rocky had to come with something a bit more radio friendly. Ty claims he often lifts samples from his dad’s music collection, and this sounds like no exception. The glimmering intro to ‘No One’s Gonna Love You’ sets the tone for ‘Peso’ as Rocky gets the listener lifted with his patented “pretty mother—ker” flow. Without this sample, there is no ‘Peso.’ With “Peso,” there might not be the A$AP Rocky we know today.

Spice 1 cuts out the meat of the sample instead of the intro for ‘Welcome To The Ghetto,’ using the percussion to lay the foundation of the beat. It’s hard to tell, but it sounds like he might have even chopped up the individual strings that you hear over the verses, but those sound original. If they’re sampled, he did one hell of a job extracting those.

It’s tough to choose just who freaked the sample better. Ty threads the ethereal sound effect throughout the beat to narcotic effect, while Spice’s use of the tumbling drums creates a darker tone that supports the direction of the song. This is one of Spice 1’s biggest songs as well, but we have to give it to A$AP Ty for picking an unorthodox part of the S.O.S. Band song. While other artists like Lil’ Boosie and Foxy Brown have used the same elements that Spice 1 sampled, Ty took the road less travelled and it helped spawn an entire career for Rocky.

Rick Ross Reveals 'Mastermind' Tracklist

The MMG takeover is coming this spring when heavy hitters Rick Ross and Meek Mill deliver their respective LPs. While not much is known about the latter’s new album, Ross’ ‘Mastermind’ will arrive next month. The head of the clique has just released the album’s tracklist, and from the looks of it, this is one project to look forward to.

Though there’s not much that can be judged on a tracklist alone, on the surface, ‘Mastermind’ seems like an ambitious effort. Ross’ sixth solo studio effort is set to be his longest since his ‘Port of Miami’ debut with 16 tracks — 19 on the deluxe edition.

The album is set to feature the big guns, including Jay Z, Lil Wayne, the Weeknd, Jeezy and Meek Mill. Kanye West will make his appearance on ‘Sanctified’ after being absent on Ross’ last effort, ‘God Forgives, I Don’t.’ He brings along G.O.O.D. Music signee Big Sean too.

Dancehall artists Mavado and Sizzla will also make appearances on ‘Mafia Music III.’ They’re peculiar inclusions since the grandeur and dramatics of the ‘Mafia Music’ series somewhat juxtaposes their dancehall background.

The deluxe edition features Houston’s Scarface and Z-Ro and a reprise of last summer’s ‘F—WithMeYouKnowIGotIt.’

‘Mastermind’ hits shelves March 4 and ‘War Ready’ featuring Jeezy is expected to drop at 5PM today (Feb. 7).

‘Mastermind’ Tracklist

1. ‘Intro’

2. ‘Rich Is Gangsta’

3. ‘Drug Dealers Dream’

'LHHATL' Producers Hold Emergency Meeting After Huge Brawl (@iambenzino @hitmansteviej)

The massive brawl which erupted at the grand opening of Benzino and Stevie J's new Atlanta club crossed the line in the eyes of the "Love and Hip Hop Atlanta" execs, and they are now banning cast members from partying while non-cast members are around, reports TMZ.

Sources tell the gossip site that producers are worried about possible lawsuits if an innocent bystander is injured during one of the somewhat frequent scuffles.

Producers held an emergency meeting in light of Wednesday night's epic brawl in which several people - including some non-cast members - were injured.

It looks like any fights filmed for the show from here on will probably go down in private residences.\

You can check out a few screen caps from cell phone footage of the fight up top.

DMX Opens Up About George Zimmerman Boxing Match [VIDEO]

It’s not official yet, but the news of the week is DMX taking up George Zimmerman’s challenge to meet him in the boxing ring. The rapper spoke on-camera for the first time since the announcement when a FOX News crew caught up with him.

DMX, who’s seen in a white tee shirt so fresh the sticker is still on, didn’t respond to critics on why he would go along with Zimmerman’s publicity stunt. He did confirm that the fight was still in the air as official paperwork still hasn’t been filled out. The rapper still isn’t entirely sure if he wants to go through with the fight.

“Well, I was challenged. I was challenged. I still haven’t really decided whether I was going to do it,” he says. “But if I did do it, whatever money that was supposed to go to him would have to go to charity.”

DMX hasn’t wavered about how he’ll “gladly beat the s— out of him.” The fight was originally scheduled to take place on March 1.

Fail Games: Journalists Tweet About Awful Sochi Conditions

The 2014 Winter Olympic Games don't kick off until Friday, but already they're looking to be a debacle. At a cost of $51 billion, this year's Games in the Russian city of Sochi are far and away the most expensive Olympics ever. However, despite the astounding amount of money already spent (the IOC estimates that up to one third of the entire budget was embezzled by contractors and officials), the infrastructure is still far from being up to the task of hosting the biggest sporting event on earth.

As journalists from all over the world descend on Sochi, they've been taking to social media to reveal the abhorrent conditions they're encountering, and many of the tweets have been intentionally hilarious.

Stray animals everywhere, hotels missing entire lobbies, and toxic tap water are just some of the current perils the media faces in Sochi.

Take a look up top at some of the photos and tweets from journalists.

Woman's Thirst Exposed in 'Pretending to Be Famous' Experiment

Internet prankster Fousey demonstrated the power of fame in an experiment he recently conducted in L.A. For the setup, he sits down next a (presumably) attractive woman waiting on a park bench for her friend. Fousey proceeds to chat up the girl, and after a few minutes of flirting he offers her his phone number, which she rejects.

The experiment then kicks into gear as one of his collaborators, who just conveniently happened to be passing by, gives the impression that Fousey is a famous singer who knows Drake and Lil Wayne.

Tom Cruise Faces $1 Billion Lawsuit For "Mission Impossible" (@TomCruise)

Tom Cruise, Paramount Pictures, and ten other defendants have a massive lawsuit filed against them for the amount of $1 billion, by screenwriter Timothy Patrick McLanahan who claims that Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol, was actually stolen from his 1998 script for his aspiring film, Head On. Mr. McLanahan alleges that he shopped the script around to various individuals hoping to get it picked up and put into production, but was eventually stolen by Cruise's agent at Creative Artist Agency, Rick Nicita. Rick is one of the people who got to lay eyes on McLanahan's script, according to his suit, and that is how the story allegedly got taken from him.

According to the lawsuit McLanahan states, "I immediately recognized that he script for this movie had been illegally written and produced from Head On's 1998 copyright."

Neither Tom or anyone else involved in the lawsuit have commented on the matter yet, until they are able to assess the situation and his specific allegations. A case demanding this kind of money could potentially last a very long time if it proceeds in court.

Student in Hot Water After Taking Selfie With Dead Body

A senior at Clements High School in Limestone, County, Alabama is facing suspension after she posed for a selfie with a cadaver while on a class field trip.

The teen joined her biology class for a trip to the University of Alabama's biology department. During one part of the trip, the students learned about the school's anatomical donor program, which apparently included a visit to the morgue.

The morgue was filled with cadavers covered in sheets, and at some point one student lifted a sheet, gave a big smile, and snapped a selfie. As if that wasn't bad enough, the young woman then posted the photo to Instagram.

One of her classmates, disturbed the pic, brought it to the attention of her sister, who reported it to school officials and Huntsville's WHNT.

"We were notified via email this morning from a parent that this incident had occurred," Karen Tucker, the Limestone County School Board Director of Public Relations and Technology, told the news outlet. "We are speaking to the University of Alabama Birmingham, they are understandably upset with this incident and we want to preserve our relationship with the university. Therefore we are speaking to them and wanting to know how we can mend this process and keep our relationship with them, and we are in the process of deciding on the discipline that will occur."

The university also released a statement:

"A student was made explicitly aware of these policies and breached them. This kind of disrespect is unacceptable and very disappointing. We will review our processes to ensure this does not happen again."

Clements High School principal Keith Hairrell would not confirm whether the student has yet been suspended.
