Wiz Khalifa Concert Ends in Tragedy: Man Fatally Shot Backstage
Police are on the hunt for a suspect who fatally shot a man multiple times backstage at a Wiz Khalifa concert in Mountain View, Calif., on Friday (Aug. 22). The incident happened as the show was about to end around 11:05PM PST.
A police spokeswoman Shino Tanaka said the shooting happened backstage at the Shoreline Amphitheatre where the rapper was performing. The unidentified 36-year-old victim was rushed to a local hospital where he died from his injuries.
According to KRON4 News, police are searching for a suspect described as a black male in his 20′s between 5’6″ and 5’8″ with short hair. At the time of the incident he was wearing all black and white pants with a red baseball cap. Police say the weapon used in the homicide was a black pistol with a large magazine.
The identity of the victim has not yet been released and police are still trying to figure out how the individual was able to bring the gun backstage undetected by security checkpoints.
Police are asking anyone with video footage, photos or information regarding the shooting to please contact the Mountain View Police Department at (650) 903-6395.
Meanwhile, Wiz Khalifa has canceled his concert tonight (Aug. 23) in Chula Vista, Calif. The rapper also issued a statement about the shooting via Twitter. He tweeted:

Iggy Azalea took a tumble while performing at a MTV Video Music Awards benefit concert in Los Angeles on Friday night (Aug. 22).
While the Aussie rapper was performing her hit single ‘Fancy,’ she moved a couple of steps backwards and fell off the stage backwards. In a Vine video, you can actually hear several audience members gasp when Azalea disappeared from the stage.
However, the ‘Work’ rapper was a good sport and continued to rap the lyrics to her chart-topping song alongside Charli XCX.
Afterward, Azalea reportedly told the crowd she felt “very blessed” that she did not break her legs. She then went on Instagram to laugh off the embarrassing moment. She even allowed her friend to reenact her fall for her followers.
Obviously, Azalea is taking the incident in stride and we are happy that she’s okay.
“Thank you so much SLS Las Vegas & Pepsi for having me tonight. Wishing you continued success,” she wrote.

Nicki Minaj Dancer Bit by Snake at MTV VMAs Rehearsal
During a rehearsal at the MTV Video Music Awards in Los Angeles, one of Nicki Minaj’s backup dancers was bitten by a snake. The Queen Barbz was on stage when the incident occurred on Friday afternoon (Aug. 22) but was not injured.
According to MTV News, the dancer was treated on-site by a medic and then rushed to a local hospital where she was treated for non-life-threatening injuries on her left arm.
The non-venomous snake that bit the dancer was a Dumeril’s boa constrictor named Rocky who has been in the entertainment business for 15 years. Even though this type of snake are not venomous, their bites can lead to infection through the transmittance of bacteria.
Apparently, during a run-through of Minaj’s ‘Anaconda’ performance, the woman had the snake wrapped around her shoulders and, at some point, the reptile bit her. The music stopped and the snake handler did remove the boa constrictor from the scene.
Minaj was concerned about the dancer and went backstage to check on her to see if she was OK.
The MTV Video Music Awards will air live from the Forum in Los Angeles on Sunday at 9PM ET.

Joe Budden Wanted By Police for Robbery, Beating Ex-Girlfriend
It looks like Joe Budden is in serious trouble. The New Jersey rhymer is wanted by police for an alleged robbery and assault of his ex-girlfriend.
According to the NYPost, the reality TV star is accused of beating his former lover outside of a New York nightclub last Monday (Aug. 18). The 25-year-old woman claims that Budden forced her into his car before smashing her head on the dashboard and driving to his New Jersey home. Then at the residence, the beating continued according to police.
A law enforcement source claims that Budden was angry that his ex was on Instagram clubbing with other men.
“Apparently there was an argument over pictures she was posting online with other guys,” said the source. “She was going to nightclubs and he didn’t like that.”
Budden is also accused of stealing the woman’s cell phone before twisting her arm and shoving her into his car, police said.
NYPost also posted photos of the woman’s alleged injuries and it looks pretty serious.
The Slaughterhouse rapper went on Twitter Friday night (Aug. 22) to defend himself. He tweeted:
Budden ended his rant with this tweet: I’ll have my day in court…f— it.”
Hopefully, Budden can straighten this situation out. It’s very unfortunate no matter how you look at it.
