Kobe Bryant stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live this week to speak about the Donald Sterling controversy, the time that he almost played for the Clippers and how he taught his daughters to accept defeat.

Bryant told Jimmy about his overall health and when fans can expect to see him back on the court.

"From a health standpoint 100 percent," he said when asked how he was feeling. "[From a basketball standpoint] not there yet, I started doing a lot of on court training so I can get back into my routine and then I'll start lifting and then the running which I hate, but by the time the season comes back around, I'll be ready to go."

He also talks about meeting Donald Sterling for the first time back when he thought about playing for the Clippers and why he would like to see the Lakers and the Clippers in the playoffs.

Stevie J Taunts Mimi After Dad's Death, Says She's Next (@mimifaust)

Mimi Faust has been in the news a lot lately, mostly because of her recent sex tape leak and the new season of Love & Hip-Hop: ATL hitting airwaves. Unfortunately, yesterday it was reported that her father passed away, with most fans and even foes sending their condolences via social media.

Surprisingly, one person who didn't offer Faust kind words is fellow L&HH cast mate and her daughter's father Stevie J, who instead texted her, mocking her father's death. While it's common knowledge that the two don't get along, many are calling the move a very low blow, which Mimi feels is his way of hurting her after she took to radio calling him a deadbeat dad.

Michelle Williams Delivers Blazing-Hot Video for 'Fire'

Michelle Williams is bringing some heat with her new video for ‘Fire,’ the second single from her still-untitled fourth album.

Much like the title, the clip, directed by photographer Derek Blanks, features the former Destiny’s Child singer in fiery hues as she sings her spiritual-based lyrics.

“It feels just like fire, fire all up in my bones / Don’t leave me oh Lord, don’t leave me my Lord,” she sings on the chorus. “Shine bright my little light, I need to feel the heat come from your fire.”

The R&B songstress is also dressed to the nines in the video. From her all-black leather mini-dress with her glittering necklace to an all-red gown that complements the visual, Williams is fashionable and fabulous.

Chris Brown Sentenced to 131 Days in Jail After Admitting to Probation Violation

Chris Brown decided to come clean in court Friday (May 9). As a result of admitting he violated his probation, a Los Angeles judge has ordered him to serve another 131 days in jail.

The singer’s probation violation stems from his involvement in a fight in Washington, D.C., last year, which lead to his arrest. Earlier this week, photos of the alleged beaten victim in the case were released.

Superior Court Judge James R. Bandlin sentenced Brown to 365 days in jail, according to the NY Daily News. However, since the ‘X’ creator has already served 234 days in rehab and jail, he has been given credit. Brown could actually serve less than the 131 additional days Brandlin handed to him.

TMZ reports that Brandlin was rather easy on the sentencing considering the entertainer was recently diagnosed with bipolar disorder, which may have caused his violent outburst in the Washington, D.C., incident. Four years in prison could have been his sentence.

Brown landed back in jail in March. While in rehab, the 24-year-old apparently broke internal rules, causing him to be thrown out. This violated a judge’s order since the ‘Loyal’ crooner made a deal to head to rehab and avoid jail on the condition he completed 90 days in the facility, where he was getting anger management therapy.

The Virginia native was initially given probation for pleading guilty to beating Rihanna in 2009. The pop star was his girlfriend at the time.

Sometimes celebrities can be just as catty as non-celebrities. Just because they’re able to sing, rap or act doesn’t mean they’re exempt from petty feelings of jealousy and envy towards each other. In fact, there are a few entertainers who stay in the headlines by beefing with other artists (we see you, 50 Cent). Some thought Rihanna was doing something of the sort by throwing a little shade towards Ariana Grande during the young singer’s performance at the iHeartRadio Music Awards last week.

While the 20-year-old was performing her cut ‘Problem’ onstage, Rihanna was caught on camera laughing. From the outside looking in, it appeared the ‘Pour It Up’ singer was making fun of Grande, but that apparently wasn’t the case.

The young Republic Records artist stopped by the Australian radio show The Bump a few days ago and explained the entire mess. “[Rihanna] was just being playful and supportive,” stated Grande. “People are always trying to make a big deal out of nothing because they’re bored.”

In addition, the Boca Raton, Fla., native said she was so into her performance that she had no idea that Rihanna was chuckling. When she saw the footage afterwards, Grande chalked the whole thing up to her own brand of uniqueness.

Moreover, the Caribbean songstress praised Grande after her performance. As much as folks like to see artists going at each other’s throats, they’ll have to find two other celebrities to do that in this case.

“I didn’t see her laughing at me, but when I watched it afterwards it looked like she was just shocked because I was doing something different,” Grande explained. “Afterward she was so kind to me, she was like, ‘Lil mama, keep doing what you’re doing because it’s working.’”

On Thursday night (May 8th), Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel was selected by the Cleveland Browns as the 22nd overall pick of this year's draft. This came as a huge shock to football fans, as "Johnny Football" was one of the most covered college players of the past few years, not only for the skills that got him the 2012 Heisman, but for his persona off the field -- namely his friendship with Toronto rapper Drake whose song "Draft Day" was based heavily on Manziel and the moment that transpired last night.

Cleveland fans were ecstatic that Manziel will be joining the roaster and injecting some new life into the team, though there was heavy speculation that Dallas would pick up Manziel considering owner Jerry Jones has a known love for Texas A&M, not to mention the drama that could come from a Manziel/Tony Romo QB conflict. Dallas passed however, and avoided the mess altogether, with Manziel himself admitting "I don't know if the world can handle that, honestly," in reference to potentially playing for the Texas team.

Regardless of whether he was first or last pick, he made it to the big field and buddy Drizzy was one of the first to congratulate him via Instagram.

You can never accuse Slaughterhouse of holding their tongue or spitting weak bars. The Shady Records crew avoid both on this new Nottz-produced heater, on which they encourage us all to ‘SayDatThen.’ How? By leading by example, of course.

In what can only be described as a six-minute lyrical therapy session, the four MCs take turns on the couch to share what’s troubling their minds. Crooked I kicks things off with a fierce verse about his label and crooked (no pun intended) cops, while Joell Ortiz and Royce Da 5’9″ vent about issues like success, women and rappers who bite.

Joe Budden gets personal as he laments the death of his relatives before finishing things off in emphatic style.

“Slaughter la familia, glocks out over here / The school boys with Kendrick, we dropouts over here / No offense ’cause them my n—-s / And that list is short, you get the gist I’m sure.”

‘SayDatThen’ is the first track off Slaughterhouse’s upcoming mixtape, ‘House Rules,’ which is due later this month. Although you’ll probably still be trying to decode this song by the time it drops.

Jeezy Fires Warning Shots at Def Jam on New Track "Me OK" (@youngjeezy)

ATL's Jeezy has never been the type you want to have problems with and he has a reputation for speaking his mind whenever and however he chooses. On his new track, "Me OK," he sends clear shots towards his current label Def Jam, saying since music exec L.A. Reid left the building, things have been going downhill. He also threatens to leave Def Jam altogether and drop his next album on Atlantic Records:

Jeezy Takes Shots at Def Jam On 'Me OK'

Rapper Jeezy may have buried the hatchet with long-time nemesis Rick Ross on the blistering ‘War Ready‘ earlier this year, but he’s still got some issues to air out. The Snowman fed the streets with a new banger called ‘Me OK’ Thursday night (May 8), on which he called out his label, Def Jam.

“When L.A. Reid was in office, made some history up at Def Jam / If Jizzle ain’t dropping n—-, what the f— is Def Jam? / I know you heard how your boy bossed up at Atlantic / Boss s—, might just drop my next album on Atlantic,” he raps over Drumma Boy’s pounding beat.

This isn’t the first time Jeezy has had problems with Def Jam. Last November, the Atlanta rapper accused the label of “playing games” and threatened to leak his album in a series of tweets. Jizzle signed a management deal with Roc Nation later that month, but remains a solo artist under Def Jam.

Jeezy is still hoping to release the follow-up to his 2011 album, ‘TM:103 Hustlerz Ambition’ — whether on Def Jam or Atlantic, we’ll have to wait and see.

Calvin Klein On Jay Z: 'You See A lot of Me In Him' (@S_C_)

Street legend Calvin "Klein" Bacote spoke about his new book and relationship with Jay Z in an interview with Thisis50.com.

Klein was introduced to fans on "Allure" from The Black Album, but the relationship stems deeper than the two just hanging out. After his release from his 13 year prison sentence on drug charges, Klein and the rapper were partners during Jay's hustling days.

"Jay is someone who back in the days used to hustle with the team," he said. "We just had a little Brooklyn rush. When I came home in 2004, Jay called and let me know what I wanted to do."

Klein also says that their business relationship became strained because of the Klein's prison sentence. The two were close to purchasing the Civic Center in 2004, but the deal didn't fall through.

"I called him and he said "Did we get it?" I said "No, they wanted too much." He told me, "I gotta get you straight. Next time you call me make it make sense.'"

He also says that the two share a lot of similarities.

"Jay never had anybody on my level or on the streets that he could compare the way he lived or the way he speaks about his hustle through me," he said. "If you stick around long enough, you'll see a lot of me in him."

Police To Investigate Viral Shovel Girl Video

Shovel Girl's 15 minutes of fame have come to a screeching halt.

According to TMZ, the fight involving Miranda Fugate getting hit in the head with a shovel has gained national attention and the Miami, Ohio police. A representative of the Miami County Sheriff's office has announced that a deputy has been given the assignment and plans to visit the teens' high school.

Police have also announced that the girl who threw the shovel could be charged with assault or disorderly conduct.

Since the fight was on the other girl's lawn, Miranda may face trespassing charges as well.
