Chris Brown Mugshot Leaks Days Before Assault Trial (@chrisbrown)

Just days before Chris Brown's D.C. assault trial begins, his mugshot has leaked to the public.

The "Loyal" singer is currently on trial for hitting a man outside of the W Hotel in Washington, D.C. back in October 2013. Brown with his bodyguard Christopher Hollosy were charged with assault.

With the trial set to start April 23, Hollosy has said in reports that he was the one that hit the fan while he was trying to get on Brown's tour bus. Brown is accused of breaking the fan's nose after he tried to take a photo with the singer and two female fans. A judge will rule on the final verdict for Brown and Hollosy instead of a jury.

In Brown is convicted, he faces up to a $1,000 in fines and 180 days in jail.

Air Jordan Future 'Multicolor'

EUKicks

The Air Jordan Future is a look that combines sole of an Air Jordan 11 and the sheath like upper of an Air Jordan 28 with the side lacing system of a Nike Air Footscape model. If that sounds like a lot to process it’s not, as the latest Air Jordan actually comes off as a simple one piece look with a very familiar outsole.

This time the sneaker is given a black, orange, grey and white woven upper and based on the distribution of color and size of weave they almost feel pixelated to a certain extent. Serving as Jordan Brand’s latest lifestyle look this pair would probably serve you well in a pick up game but their made for the sideline, not the free throw line.

These are set to release in limited numbers to select Nike retailers very soon. One store that should have them is Wish in Atlanta and by should we mean if you can get to the shelves that they are stocked on fast enough to grab them.

Jason Derulo and Jordin Sparks Perform 'Vertigo' [VIDEO]

Jason Derulo and Jordin Sparks don’t hold back when it comes to their affection for one another. So when the singer was asked to perform tracks off his new album, ‘Talk Dirty,’ it only seemed natural to include their duet, ‘Vertigo,’ and bring his lady love along for the show.

“Jordin and I recorded about six songs because I wanted to make sure I had the right song for the album,” he told OK! Magazine. “When I wrote ‘Vertigo’ I knew it was it. It’s just us and the piano so the emotions really comes to life.”

Singing into each other’s eyes and their faces beaming with a smile, we clearly see just how in love they really are. This is familiar territory for the couple, who recently released the romantic visual for ‘Marry Me.’

Nike x PPP Collection

Nike

No, this isn’t a collaboration between Nike and Redman’s “Pistol Pack Posse” but instead it’s the union of Parisian fashion house Pigalle and Nike coming together to celebrate their love of basketball.

The triple P is meant to mark Pain O Chokolat, Pigalle Paris and Pompon who collectively puts their spin on the Nike Air Force 1 Low and Nike Air Force 1 High in grey and bronze respectively. The sneakers both feature an antique leather feel that spills over to the midsole and overall detailing of the entire model. The drop also includes two tank / short sets as well as a ball cap, basketball and tee shirt.

The line celebrates community and comfort as much as it does basketball and it does so in a style that only Pigalle and Nike can bring. This drop is scheduled to hit select Nike retailers on Apr. 26th and its safe to say its gonna be both pricey and hard to find.

Locksmith Freestyles Over Gang Starr Instrumentals on Shade 45 with DJ Kay Slay

Locksmith is out promoting his new album ‘A Thousand Cuts’ and stopped by the Shade 45 studios to talk with DJ Kay Slay. And with a talented lyricist like Lock in the studio, Kay Slay had to get the Bay Area rhymer to kick a few bars off the dome.

Rocking over two classic DJ Premier productions, Locksmith displays once again why he’s one of the illest MCs in the game today. With the ‘Code of the Streets’ instrumental as his backdrop, Lock raps, “I was told if I was bold I would have less / I was told that my music was like math test / I was told that my lyrics would add stress, being smart’s a liability more than asset.”

In part two, which you can see below, Locksmith takes hold of Gang Starr’s ‘Moment of Truth’ beat. Lock spits, “And fools be telling me, yelling, screaming this heat is too deep to just be leaking on n—s’ beats you should keep for you / but I’m strategic, I see it as being equal a single and necessary evil that each MC should do / but that’s a gamble, a handful of pride I’m thinking too / what happens when they’re sick of me rapping and my mystique is through?”

Go pick up Locksmith’s ‘A Thousand Cuts’ which is available now in stores and digital outlets.

10 Signs You're Not Fancy According to Iggy Azalea [EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW]

Iggy AzaleaDef Jam

Don’t be fooled by Iggy Azalea’s freewheeling nature; a girl’s got to have a code. I found this out after my scheduled interview with her at the Def Jam offices in New York City got canceled.

As I was walking from the record label in midtown to the nearby train station, I noticed the rapper frantically waving from her SUV. I figured she was waving at the stranger in the red jacket next to me, but after he walked off, it occurred to me that she was trying to get my attention. On a day that included more interviews than she’d probably wanted to do, quite a bit of traveling throughout NYC and a listening party at an upscale club later that night, this was a score.

Iggy is confident enough not look at all pressured by the schedule. It’s immediately apparent that her assertive, blunt nature doesn’t waver in any circumstance. The barefoot (she decided to kick off her heels) 23-year-old spoke about her idea of what it really means to be fancy, which is also the title of the lead single from her forthcoming album, ‘The New Classic.’

The blonde bombshell and her crew aren’t lenient when it comes to fanciness — you’ll see that firsthand below. After she finishes waxing philosophic on the subject, she offers up details about her upcoming single with Rita Ora, ‘Black Widow’: “It has a little bit of a ‘Dark Horse’ vibe. The beat is a bit grimy … catchy, but it’s very hip-hop-y,” she says referring to the Billboard-topping single by Katy Perry, who also wrote ‘Black Widow.’ “It’s not a pop-driven record, and Rita really sings on it. It’s kind of about being so enamored with somebody that you’re so obsessed with them that you just hate their guts and just want to kill them. To me they love it and then they crush it.”

If that’s not a fancy way to describe love, we don’t know what is. Check out 10 Signs You’re Not Fancy According to Iggy Azalea.

"They just have to be done. If you have crusty ass nails that don’t get done … If you don’t have polish on your nails, you’re not fancy. And everybody agrees here."

"If you only get one pack of hair, it’s like, 'Come on, bitch.' You know you need more than that. You’re not fancy. And if you buy your hair from the beauty supply store, like straight out the pack especially, you ain’t fancy. Malaysian hair is always the thing. I used to sell it, but I don’t think that makes you fancy. I just think you have to go to an actual hair supply."

3

You Have an Online Degree

"You need to take a real college course. You want to go on campus and have the experience. If you’re not having the full college experience, then to me it wouldn’t be very fancy. If there’s a radio DJ somewhere doing the ad for your college, then sorry."

"I don’t know why they would make it seem like it would be better. DiGiorno is not fancy no matter how they may try."

[On the slogan: “It’s not delivery, it’s DiGiorno”] "They’re trying to make it seem like it’s better, and it’s like, ‘Yeah, sorry, it’s DiGiorno.’"

6

You Think Glitter = Glamour

"Just because it glitters don’t make it fancy. I’m not 5. Too many bitches think the sparkly and fancier things are automatically expensive, and they’re not. That extends to studded shoes, jackets … Just because it glitters don’t make it gold, honey."

7

You Wear Sweatpants to the Club

"Girls that wear track pants and sweatpants with high heels and try to make it fashionable, it’s not fancy. That’s been happening a lot lately. I understand sweatpants are making a comeback and I’m for that -- don’t get me wrong. But if you try to wear sweats with high heels and you’re going to the club, you ain’t it."

5

You Choose Ramen Over Sushi

"Ramen noodles will never be fancy in any format, even if they’re from Koreatown. You know how now it’s like a thing to be like, ‘Oh my God, we’re gonna have Pho.’ It’s like, ‘Oh, that’s ramen noodles.’ Why are you eating it in a restaurant? Sorry Koreans, but I ain’t buying it. Pho is ramen, bitches, and it’s never going to be fancy. It’s not like sushi. Now that’s a fancy Asian delicacy."

8

You Rock Glasses Without a Prescription

"Wearing glasses when you don’t actually need a prescription and you have clear glasses and you pretend that you need it to read, so many bitches do that. They think it makes them look cool or smart or something."

9

You're Too Passionate About Chipotle

"I like Chipotle, but that’s like saying McDonald's is somewhere to go and it’s not. I notice this on the East Coast. You guys think it’s like Olive Garden or something. Chipotle is one down from IHOP. Just know that."

10

You Rock 5 for $25 Underwear on the Reg

"If every pair of underpants that you own is from a five for $25 bin, that’s not fancy. I mean, if you’re getting five for $25 at Victoria’s Secret, if you’re getting five for $25 at Target, if you’re getting five for $25 at Walmart, and every pair at that, you’re not fancy. The good stuff you break out for your new man shouldn’t be from the five for $25. If that’s the best of your stash, you’re not a fancy bitch. Don’t get me wrong. I have five for $25, too. But you have to get some actual lace happening."

Anthony 'Top Dawg' Tiffith Claps Back at Suge Knight Over Kendrick Lamar Comments

You know the old saying a dog’s bark is worse than its bite. Well, Top Dawg Entertainment CEO Anthony Tiffith is barking at former rap mogul Suge Knight for comments he made about Kendrick Lamar‘s business practices, especially when it comes to touring.

Apparently, during an interview with BET, Knight said Lamar is a slave to Interscope due to his record deal with the label. The co-founder of Death Row Records claims Interscope is not only taking a cut out of K.Dot’s royalties but they are allegedly dipping into his touring money, as well.

“Not only do these companies get the royalties and the publishing, if [the artist] do a show and $100,000 come in, the managers of the guys I’m saying who run the record company gets 20 percent,” he said. “Now it’s $80,000. Kendrick gets half, the record company gets half, which is ridiculous.”

Tiffith went on Twitter to deny Knight’s accusations.

Knight has been vocal about how the music business has changed throughout the years. When he appeared on ‘The Arsenio Hall Show’ back in February, he made references that Game and Lamar have “the worst deals in the music industry.”

“[All I was saying was] it’s not fair for two n—-s from Compton to be gettin’ f—ed, and it’s not good for me to have knowledge and not pass it on to them,” the cigar-chomping executive told BET. “It wasn’t about putting them as men down or as artists down, it was about putting the person who’s in control down, saying ‘How are you f—ing over these dudes from Compton when they’re making a difference for your company?’”

Future Teams Up With Andre 3000 on 'Benz Friendz (Whatchutola)'

With the OutKast name on the tip of everyone’s tongues following the group’s reunion last weekend at Coachella, Future is adding to the mix with his newly released Andre 3000 collaboration ‘Benz Friendz (Whatchutola).’

Off Future’s latest LP, ‘Honesty,’ the two Atlanta rappers take turns on the mic venting about ladies who want the cars, money and other fancy things. “I told that bitch I don’t give a f— about a Benz, bitch / And I don’t want no bitch who need to have that kind of friendship,” they both deliver on the mid-tempo bouncy track.

While Future and Andre 3000 play off each other’s unique rhyming styles, Three Stacks really takes the swearing to another level and manages to curse a ridiculous amount of times.

The two originally performed this track at Coachella over the weekend.

Future’s ‘Honesty’ arrives April 22, but you can stream the album here.

Isaiah Rashad Talks Tennessee, 'Cilvia Demo' and Contradiction in #NextUp

Get used to the name Isaiah Rashad — you’re going to hear it a lot in the future.

The latest rapper to join the Top Dawg Entertainment roster Rashad has a gift for compelling narratives, high-level lyricism and heartfelt introspection. That makes him a lot like his TDE brethren Ab-Soul and Kendrick Lamar — except Rashad’s music has a distinctly southern twist to it.

Proudly reppin’ the rarely repped Chattanooga, Tenn. gives us the melodic side of Southern hip-hop that’s as cerebral as it is visceral. His excellent debut EP ‘Cilvia Demo’ tells the story of a kid coming of age dealing with life’s contradictions.

The subject of our latest installment of our #NextUp new artist profile series, we get to know Isaiah Rashad as he tells his story in his own words.

Watch as he talks about his creative process, what informs his music, touring and ultimately what inspires his art.

Kevin Durant's Travel Agent Sues, Booked Secret Flights (@kdtrey5)

Documents were recently obtained by TMZ that show Kevin Durant filed a lawsuit against his travel agent, Lynn Swanson, back in September, citing she had overcharged him by at least $500,000 from 2007 to 2012. However, Swanson is claiming she more than earned the cash because she was subject to late night calls, last minute requests, and booking confidential arrangements for multiple women.

Swanson then filed a countersuit for no less than $100K. She claims she "not only paid numerous speeding tickets and parking tickets for the Durant team, she would also confidentially book flights and make hotel arrangements for numerous women and others on behalf of the Durant entourage -- No Questions Asked!"

Both cases were recently dismissed on March 28th when both sides dropped their claims, which is usually a sign of settlement.

Major Lazer Brings Words to Life in Pharrell-Assisted 'Aerosol Cans' Video

Everything Pharrell touches turns to gold these days (or at least it seems that way). The latest example is his guest spot on Major Lazer’s ‘Aerosol Cans’ which has been brought to life on the canvas in this new video.

The heavily tattooed artist seen in this visual is Mike Giant, who brings Pharrell’s every word to the white wall for this extremely creative effort.

The Diplo-produced track also allows Skateboard P to flex his rhyming skills.

“Yo! When I was young and my dad had a reefer house / I’d catch a contact and talk like Eek-A-Mouse / Go to school act like I’m pulling reefer out / Kinda funny ’cause I used to freak my teachers out / Like ‘dong dong diddy dong dong’ seen? / So much mi go teach ya bout / Peace to the one Black Chiney and the heaters out / In the club, everybody on Sinatra / Look around, everybody on Sinatra / I ain’t talking bout this s— they call Coke and vodka / I’m talking ’bout this s— you snort and go ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha,” Pharrell raps.

‘Aerosol Cans’ is featured on Major Lazer’s recently released ‘Apocalypse Soon’ EP, which you can purchase now on iTunes.

Raekwon Addresses Creative Differences With RZA, 'On Strike' From Wu-Tang Clan

RaekwonLarry Busacca, Getty Images

While Wu-Tang Clan has been working towards the release of ‘A Better Tomorrow,’ the group’s first album since 2007′s ’8 Diagrams,’ Raekwon has strong reservations regarding its release and being a member of the rap collective as a whole.

It’s no secret that there has been some issues between Raekwon and fellow Wu-Tang member RZA. Last year, he claimed that Raekwon wasn’t necessarily pulling his weight during the recording process of the new LP. RZA also called him out for focusing more on the business side of things instead of the music.

Now Raekwon has finally spoken out about the rift between himself and his Wu-Tang brother.

“…We are at creative differences because at the end of the day, I want to win,” Raekwon tells Rolling Stone. “I’m used to being a winner. Being that I feel the team is being compromised by his so-called ‘logic’ of making music, I have a problem with that because I love my fans. I would never want to give my fans anything other than the best. So when we’re sitting there discussing the creative process of making a great album for the fans, I’m not going to never settle for less. I’m not the only one [in the group] that feels this way too.”

“This s— is not right,” he continues. “It’s not making us give the fans the best that we can give them. So of course we have a problem with that. It’s like coming out with some music that you’re not feeling.”

And unlike RZA, who’s been focused on other ventures like acting and his chess tournament, Raekwon has sights set on his solo career. His new album, ‘Fly International Luxurious Art,’ is set to release next month. Based off that LP title alone, it’s understable why the Chef has such strong criticisms toward the new Wu-Tang track, ‘Keep Watch.’

“I hate it. I hate it. I don’t hate s—, but I hate that f—in’ record,” he admits. “It ain’t the gunpowder that my brother is spitting; it’s the production. And I ain’t s—-ing on the producer because he’s one of our soldiers. But if it ain’t where it need to be… It’s 20 years later. We talkin ’bout a whole new generation is sitting here representin’ and making fiery s— and you telling me that we comin’ out with some mediocre s—? That ain’t part of our plan.”

As candid as Raekwon is in the Rolling Stone interview, he makes sure to say that he doesn’t hate RZA — they’re just on different pages — and he’s solely speaking for himself, not the rest of the group. However, until these issues are resolved, Raekwon is on a bit of a strike.

“…I’m in a limbo situation,” he shares. “So yeah, you’re right. I am on strike. It ain’t the fact that I don’t want to be there. Because of course I want to be there. But if we’re there, we gotta do the best everything. We gotta work 10 times harder, because that’s what I’m signing in for. I’m not about listening to somebody that’s not an artist telling me what the f— they think is hot.”

Tony Yayo Fires Back at 50 Cent: I Took Bullets for G-Unit (@50cent, @tonyyayo)

50 Cent recently hit up NYC's The Breakfast Club to talk in depth about new music, family and the recent tension between himself and former G-Unit allies, Tony Yayo and Lloyd Banks. Both artists had big hits and equally impressive sales early in their careers, but have since fallen off the radar. 50 obviously noticed the two rappers lose fans' attention, and said in regards to Yayo:

"Some people are like milk...they have an expiration date."

Many Hip-Hop fans were taken aback by the comment, feeling that 50 and Yayo's friendship went back much further than the music, and that such a comment would've been better kept in close circles.

Yayo took to Twitter to express his disappointment in 50's comment, saying he took bullets for the crew and was a major part in building its brand.

Drake Sued for Illegally Sampling Jazz Track on 'Pound Cake/Paris Morton Music 2'

DrakeEric Thayer, Getty Images

Drake has been hit with a copyright-infringement lawsuit over his ‘Nothing Was the Same’ track ‘Pound Cake / Paris Morton Music 2.’

On the Jay Z-assisted song, it features a 35-second opening monologue, which was sampled from James “Jimmy” Smith’s jazz song ‘Jimmy Smith Rap.’ Although in the liner notes, it mentions that the sample was cleared, the estate of the late jazz legend claim that it’s not true.

In their lawsuit, obtained by TMZ, they insist that no one gave Drizzy permission to sample Smith’s 1982 song for his tune, ‘Pound Cake / Paris Morton 2.’

The estate is suing Drake, Cash Money Records, Universal Records and other parties for over $300,000.

Attorneys for Drake had no comment on the matter.
