50 Cent Makes Amends With Mayweather After Friend's Suicide (@50cent)
Floyd Mayweather and 50 Cent have been on the outs for well over a year, but the two made amends after news broke of the boxer's longtime best friend, Earl Hayes, committed suicide.
Earl Hayes, Girlfriend Found Dead in Apparent Murder-Suicide
Earl Hayes, a rapper and member of Floyd Mayweather’s Money Team, was found dead, along with his girlfriend, Stephanie Moseley, in an apparent murder-suicide on Monday (Dec. 8).
According to KTLA 5, the couple were discovered inside an apartment at a high-end apartment complex in Los Angeles. Apparently, police were called to the scene at around 7:30AM after a 911 call of 10 gunshots being fired from their apartment.
When police entered their residence they found a back bedroom door closed. When they tried to go into the room, that when they heard two more gunshots. SWAT team was sent in as a precaution and when they entered the bedroom they discovered Hayes and Moseley dead from gunshot wounds.
“The initial radio call was about 10 shots, and when the officers were inside the apartment, they heard one to two more shots,” said Police Capt. Howard Leslie. “When SWAT showed up on scene, there were no more shots.”
Hayes was an aspiring rapper and an associate of legendary boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. His girlfriend was a dancer on the VH1 show ‘Hit the Floor.’
There’s no word on what led to the incident. According to reports, the couple were in the process of breaking up after Hayes had accused her of “infidelity with a famous singer.”
Upon hearing the tragic news of Hayes’ death, close friends Swizz Beatz and Keyshia Cole wrote tributes to him on their Instagram page.
Cole posted a picture of Hayes with Jimmy Iovine (see above) and wrote:
The guy on the left, His name is @earlhayes ! We came up together in Oakland Cali!!! At one point in time we were all actually in a group as young kids. Him @queenamina7300 and I. We all used to work with a guy names Eric who has also passed away, not to long ago. Well…it has been brought to my attention that our childhood friend is gone. He has passed on. Be kind to people. You never kno the fight they may be fighting. #RiP @earlhayes gonna miss your crazy self!!! #LoveForLife!!!!
Meanwhile, Swizz Beatz posted a picture of Hayes holding a rose with the caption: “RIP to one of my best friends in the world!! @earlhayes I’m sick & hurt about this news. I’m sending my deepest condolences to your family #ripearlhayes Wow this can’t be real!
Finally, 50 Cent sent out a R.I.P shout out to Hayes on Instagram, which Mayweather reported on his own page.
We want to send our deepest condolences to the families of both Earl Hayes and Stephanie Moseley. May they both rest eternally in peace.

It’s officially splitsville for Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon. Mr. Cannon confirmed that he has separated from the Grammy-winning songbird after six years of marriage.
On Monday (Dec. 8), the 38-year-old entertainer shared the announcement during an interview on ‘Good Morning America,’ stating, “We’ll forever be family. At the same time, we’re there for our children, making them the number one priority and understanding they’re loved and can have an amazing holiday.”
Cannon, who calls himself an “entrepretainer,” said he and Carey will spend the holidays with their fraternal twins Moroccan and Monroe who are both 3 and 1/2 years old.
“It’s always a house full of people and pets and dogs. Christmas Eve we like to have sleigh rides and reindeer,” he said.
The ‘America’s Got Talent’ host was so inspired by his little ones that he wrote a holiday book, ‘Roc and Roe’s 12 Days of Christmas,’ about them. “It’s a lot of fun. So when you read the book, everything seems over the top, but it really happens,” he said.
News of Mariah and Nick’s marital problems first surfaced this August.
“There’s trouble in paradise,” said the rapper and actor in an interview. “We have been living in separate houses for a few months.”
Subsequently, Cannon covered his famous tattoo of “Mariah Carey” and was rumored to be dating his client, recently-single Amber Rose.

Tiny Doo Pleads Not Guilty to Gang Conspiracy Charges
Tiny Doo, the rapper behind bars for his song lyrics, pleaded not guilty to gang conspiracy charges last Thursday (Dec. 4) in San Diego, Calif.
The rapper, born Brandon Duncan, entered a not guilty plea stemming from nine shootings that occurred since last April. As we previously reported, Tiny Doo could be facing a lifetime behind bars for his mixtape, ‘No Safety.’
Although Tiny hasn’t been tied to the shootings themselves, prosecutors claim that the rapper benefitted from the shootings, which increased his street cred and helped sell more albums. It’s also important to note that Tiny has no prior criminal record.
“It’s really given a black eye to the legal system here in the DA’s office,” Tiny’s lawyer, Brian Watkins, told Fox 5 News in San Diego. “To charge someone with crimes while admitting he had no knowledge of those crimes. Based on his artistic expression, he made a rap album — a rap album that’s actually made in 2012, these shootings occurred in 2013 — so there’s absolutely no connection.”
Many have challenged this case as an assault on the First Amendment and right to free speech. “It’s important for the community to understand that this case is not about punishing someone for rapping and it’s not about a First Amendment issue,” the District Attorney’s office said. “This case is about protecting our neighborhoods by taking violent gang members off the streets and holding them accountable for the crimes they commit using a law that voters passed and the court has recognized as constitutional.”
“I feel like I’m being held captive,” said Tiny Doo in a jail interview with VICE. “I haven’t done anything. I said I had a million dollars on a couple of raps, too. Obviously I don’t have that, because I’d be home already. It’s entertainment. It’s not real.”
Artists like Freddie Gibbs have spoken out on his behalf as have fans on social media with the #FreeTinyDoo hashtag.
Tiny Doo’s trial is set for January 23, 2015.

Drake and Diddy Get Into Fight at Miami's Art Basel

Junior B of Pro Era Has Died, Joey Bada$$ Cancels European Tour
The Brooklyn rap collective Pro Era has suffered another tragic loss in their family. Junior B, a cousin of Joey Bada$$, has passed away.
According to reports, Junior B was in a car accident about a week ago that left him hospitalized with third degree burns on his body. It appears that he has succumbed to those injuries.
A grief-stricken Joey Bada$$ announced on Saturday (Dec. 6) that he would be canceling his European tour as he mourns the death of another family member. The rapper told his followers on Twitter:

Junior B’s untimely death follows behind the death of another Pro Era member two years prior. Capital STEEZ committed suicide on Christmas Eve 2012 at the age of 19. Both STEEZ and Junior B were vital members in the group who helped Joey achieve success in the rap game.
