Chris Webby Flicks Off the Haters in 'F— Off' Video
Rap newcomer Chris Webby may not be a household name but he’s on a mission to change that. While the Connecticut rhymer has his core followers he also has detractors. So in the video for ‘F— Off,’ Webby makes it clear that he’s not going to let haters stop his shine.
Directed By Hunter Lyon, the clip features Webby detailing the ups and downs of being popular while flicking off the naysayers.
“Some people hate the fact that now I’m on my way / Some people love every f—ing word I say / Some other people be like ‘Who is he?’ / But f— it man, I’ma keep doing me,” he raps.
The video is also intercut with people in different scenarios trying to not let obstacles in their life get them down.
At the end, Webby, in a show of solidarity, leads a group of people in throwing up their middle fingers high in the sky and telling the haters to go f— off.
Chris Webby’s new album ‘Chemically Imbalanced’ is due in stores on Oct. 28.
Mariah Carey Suffers Vocal Problems at Elusive Chanteuse Tour Kickoff [VIDEO]
Mariah Carey kicked off her Elusive Chanteuse Show tour in Japan on Saturday (Oct. 5). According to various reports, the veteran songbird suffered some highs and lows during her performance at Tokyo’s Makuhari Messe Arena.
Rap-Up reports that Carey performed over 20 classic songs from her catalog including her No. 1 songs and new material from her latest effort, ‘Me. I Am Mariah…the Elusive Chanteuse.’
MC went through four wardrobe changes and showed off photos of Dem Babies — Monroe and Moroccan.
But things got a little rocky on a few songs during her show. In videos that’s been circulating on the Internet, it appears that Mimi was having some vocal problems with a number of tunes.
When Carey was performing ‘Always Be My Baby,’ she had trouble hitting the high notes. On ‘We Belong Together,’ Carey had forgotten the lyrics altogether after her microphone stand broke and had to start over. Finally, during her performance of ‘My All,’ the singer was, um, a little pitchy.
While all of these blunders are a little troubling, we have to say that this is Mariah Carey’s first major tour outing in quite some time. Mishaps often happen on the first night of a major tour — nothing is ever going to run smoothly. So, hopefully, Carey and her team can fix some of these problems as the trek continues throughout Asia this month.
Meanwhile, Carey may have put her soon-to-be ex-husband Nick Cannon on blast during the concert as well. According to reports, while the singer performed a rendition of the Billie Holiday classic ‘Don’t Explain,’ she added a few new words of her own to the original song.
After singing the original lyrics, “Cry to hear folks chatter / And I know you cheat / Right or wrong, don’t matter / When you’re with me, sweet,” she then adds, “I know you cheated motherf—er.”
Since Mimi and Cannon are going through a rough patch in their marriage, is this a subliminal shot at her estranged hubby?

Keyshia Cole Is Fed Up in 'Love Letters' Video With Future
Keyshia Cole has been very busy this past week. The R&B songbird dropped not just one, but two brand new videos for our viewing pleasure. The first was the clip for ‘N.L.U.‘ featuring 2 Chainz and the second is the visual for her Future-assisted tune ‘Love Letters.’
Directed by John Colombo and co-directed Keyshia Cole, the video finds the Bay Area songbird fed up over her boyfriend’s cheating ways — something she knows all too well. Model-singer Don Benjamin plays her love interest in the clip who is begging Cole for a second chance. But no dice.
Future, who is dressed in all-white, comes through to console the jilted singer by warbling some woe-is-me lyrics. In the end, KC leaves her boo and begins a new search for true love.
‘Love Letters’ will appear on Cole’s upcoming album ‘Point of No Return,’ which arrives in stores on Tuesday (Oct. 7).

Future Unleashes NSFW 'Monster' Video
Now that Future is no longer engaged to Ciara anymore, he’s ready to turn up! In his new video for ‘Monster,’ the Atlanta rhyme-slinger puts his hedonistic side on full display.
Over producers Metro Boomin and Southside’s flute-driven, synth-heavy beat, Future brags about his street credibility at a wild party inside a luxurious mansion. Then, visually, things go from 0 to 100 real quick.
In several scenes, Future is flanked by topless models adorn in fluorescent body paint, which brings a slightly tribal feel to the video. Near the end of clip, Future Hendrix goes ham as he spits boastful rhymes with a bevy of bikini-clad ladies who are gloriously twerking at a pool party.
All this to say that Future is having the time of his life and he doesn’t care who’s watching him get turnt up. Party like a rock star!
We must also mention that the video is a tad NSFW because there’s plenty of exposed fluorescent boobies in the clip — not that we’re complaining.
Overall, the video is a teaser for Future’s upcoming new mixtape ‘Monster,’ which drops on Oct. 28. If the mixtape is anything like the video, then we should be hearing some exciting music from the Astronaut Kid.

adidas Originals Stan Smith 'Stan Smith'
If the Simpsons x Family Guy mash up episode wasn’t enough for you adidas Originals has decided to go full on meta with their latest collaboration. In a stroke of pure poetic justice, Stan Smith of ‘American Dad’ fame is getting his own colorway of the adidas Originals Stan Smith shoe.
The resulting colorway of the adidas Originals Stan Smith ‘Stan Smith’ isn’t as zany as the show is and it almost feels traditional with a white leather upper and green accents on the heel and tongue. Stan’s face finds it’s way to the logo box on the sneaker’s tongue. There’s also an insole that bursts with color as a red, white and blue backdrop frames an image of Stan decked out in some fresh adidas gear.
If you are a fan of the Fox animated show or just want a unique spin on an iconic shoe you can look for these to hit retailers on Oct. 18 to the cool tune of $140.

Are Amber Rose and Nick Simmons Just Friends? [VIDEO]
Just days after being spotted canoodling at Playhouse nightclub, Amber Rose and Nick Simmons were once again hanging out with each other on a Saturday night (Oct. 4).
The paparazzi swarmed on the pair as they were about to enter the Roxy in Los Angeles. The 30-year-old model-actress didn’t want to talk to the cameramen who berated her with questions, but Simmons was very chatty.
When a TMZ photog asked him if he and Rose are a couple, he quickly responded, “No relationship, we’re just friends.”
The paps quickly reminded him that there’s a video of them grinding — well, Rose was grinding — on the dance floor. Simmons retorted that the clip didn’t show anything.
“You didn’t see s—, that video was grainy as f—,” he said.
While that may be true, we are not completely convinced they are not at least dating each other. The grainy video clearly shows Rose wrapping her arms around him, so we don’t think she does this to all her male friends (*cough* Peter Rosenberg), but we digress.
However, according to Ultimate Classic Rock, Sophie Tweed-Simmons, Nick’s sister, says they are not dating. She tweeted:
You can watch the entire TMZ video here.
What do you think? Are Amber Rose and Nick Simmons dating or are they just good friends (*wink*)? Tell us in the comments below.

A Wrong Love Song
There were of course rap songs about girls, relationships and love songs before LL Cool J's "I Need Love," but that song definitely triggered an explosion of copycats for years to come. It introduced the token love rap, usually slowed down with sappy non-hip-hop instrumentation and spoken word flows that had to be hiding on every rapper's album somewhere. This one here, however, I'm not sure if LL is responsible for or not. It came out the same year, 1987, but it doesn't fit the style of the token love rap I described at all. It has traditional, B-boy style flows, with distinction efforts to show off intelligent lyrical skills (by 1987 standards), over a pretty fresh, stripped down beat. They do sing on the hook, but you have to expect that from a (Full) Force Organization, love song or not; and if you pay attention to the lyrics, or even just the title, the traditional love song sentiments are amusingly reversed. It's not "oh baby, I so softly and warmly need to be by your side," it's "Ya Cold Wanna Be With Me." It might actually be UTFO's sardonic, antithetical response to Cool Jame's "I Need Love."
These days, "wrong" love songs are almost the norm in hip-hop. With the glorification of pimps, to the the way rappers like Ja Rule consistently devolve into lines like, "Bitch, you know better; we live M.O.B.: money over bitches, murder I.N.C. I got two or three hoes for every V, and I keep 'em drugged up off that ecstasy" in what are ostensibly their love songs with Ashanti. Romance and juvenile, hyper-masculine posturing tend to conflict. But I dare say, back in 1987, especially in the middle of the "I Need Love" shockwaves, a "wrong" love song - that is, a song that at first glance appears to be a straight-forward, sentimental, but then turned out to be expressing just the opposite emotions, playfully mocking our trite expectations - might have still been a little surprising.
Right from the chorus, it sounds sweet and romantic, with, "hey girl, you wanna be with me?
Because I need someone to be with, someone to talk to;" but immediately reverses that by presumptuously telling the girl she wants to be with them. Imagine your marriage vows written from that point of view: you're hot for me, babe; and frankly, you're lucky to get me. And that's practically how The Educated Rapper starts his first full verse: "she wants to be with me, and I know this for sure/ I can tell as soon as she walks through the door/ swings and sways and shakes her stuff like Jell-O/ waiting for EMD to say hello." It's the extra confidence of hip-hop injected into the songs of the previous generation.
But then UTFO run way further with it, going completely off the rails. Beyond simply turning the tables on the old cliches, they fly off in their own directions. First they get overtly sexual (and remember, this is 1987, well long before 2 Live Crew and the like started pushing the envelope), with Kangol wryly saying, "well I'm definitely a lover/ Hard when I'm undercover/ I'll do kinky things to you if you swear not to tell your mother." And EMD immediately raises the stakes even further, "I want a girl with action/ Control like Janet Jackson/ I hate the dark; I want the light so I can see reaction/ Against all relaxin', prepare for steady waxin'/ When you leave, you must pay E. For what? Satisfaction." Again, gangster rap may have taken the outrageous edge off a line like that, but you've gotta imagine a more innocent rap age.
But I don't mean to say the song was shocking... just playfully subversive. Parents would just see their kids watching a nice video of the fellas doing synchronized dance moves on the waterfront talking about being "in search of love." Meanwhile, we'd be memorizing lines like, "she only talks the talk, never walks the walk/ She must be the most hard up in all New York." Unfortunately, I think a lot of heads have dismissed this as just another run-of-the-mill rap love song, but how can you not get a kick out of Doctor Ice saying his heart desperately longs for someone "like Chi Chi Williams on The Eyewitness News?" Hell, at one point he even admits, "I feel like punchin' her dead in the grill, but that's ill; so Doc just chills." What? Even Ja Rule wouldn't say that! Plus, the way they introduce old school harmonizing into their rhymes or let the DJ have a hardcore breakdown at the end? It's really what UTFO did best: applying their personalities to make an ordinary song a little unique and a lot more fun.
And trust these guys to sneak a little extra fun onto the 12". You've got the main vocal version, a radio edit and another cut from their Lethal album, "Diss," as the B-side. And there's the Rare Dub: a stripped down version of the main song, with a lot of the vocals almost acapella, recited only over the sparse drums and the rest of the instrumentation cutting in and out. It's kind of a cool alternative if you've played out the main version. But don't lift the needle yet, because there's a short, uncredited hidden track at the very end. It's a lyrical remix, with Mixmaster Ice grabbing the mic and going for self. He's right on message with the rest of the guys, asking girls if they "wanna live with me, or live off of me," throwing in a reference to his Zodiac sign and saying how, like the true DJ he is, "there's been many a day that I've been wantin' to date you/ put you on my Technic and rotate you."
This song isn't for everybody; but for a few of us, it's a shared secret that can still make us smile nearly 30 years later.
