NBA hopeful Andrew Wiggins is proving that he can be an asset to any team with a recent photo of his jumping abilities.

Wiggins posted the photo above to his Instagram account showing off just how high he can go. The 19-year-old recently completed one year playing for the Kansas Jayhawks and has been a favorite with critics and is predicted to be a top pick for the NBA Draft in June.

Beyonce, Jay Z and Solange Address Elevator Fight Video in Statement

Beyonce, Jay Z and Solange have finally addressed the leaked footage of the elevator attack that occurred last week at the Standard Hotel in New York City.

On Thursday (May 15), the trio issued a statement to the Associated Press about the altercation that had everyone speculating what caused such a violent incident to occur in the first place.

As a result of the public release of the elevator security footage from Monday, May 5th, there has been a great deal of speculation about what triggered the unfortunate incident. But the most important thing is that our family has worked through it,” the statement said. “Jay and Solange each assume their share of responsibility for what has occurred. They both acknowledge their role in this private matter that has played out in the public. They both have apologized to each other and we have moved forward as a united family.”

The Carter Family also denied reports that Solange was intoxicated during the attack, which took place right after the trio attended the Met Gala.

“The reports of Solange being intoxicated or displaying erratic behavior throughout that evening are simply false. At the end of the day, families have problems and we’re no different. We love each other and above all we are family. We’ve put this behind us and hope everyone else will do the same.”

Reps for the Standard Hotel announced on Wednesday (May 14) that they had fired the person who recorded the video, which was reportedly sold for $250,000.

Will fans have to save up for a Lil Wayne tour this year? Young Money artist Lil Twist may have spoiled the surprise.

Although Weezy hasn’t confirmed anything yet, fans probably had their eyebrows raised when they saw Lil Twist tweet about his excitement for a summer tour with his “big brother.” He also used the hashtag “#C5,” which further leads to the belief that a tour is coming.

If a performance trek is on the way for Wayne, it will follow-up last year’s America’s Most Wanted tour.

Fans are waiting for confirmation on ‘Tha Carter V’ release date as well. Originally slated for this month, the new album is rising to become one of the most anticipated Lil Wayne projects in recent memory thanks to the lead single ‘Believe Me’ featuring Drake.

Hotel Fires Employee for Releasing Jay Z and Solange Fight Video

The Standard Hotel, the New York City location where the infamous fight between Solange and Jay Z took place in an elevator, has fired the employee who sold the footage to the media.

Page Six reports that the employee shopped around the video for five days before receiving the huge offer of $250,000, which was paid by TMZ.

A representative from the posh Manhattan hotel released the following statement about the incident.

“The Standard has identified the individual responsible for breaching the security policies of the hotel and recording the confidential CCTV video released by TMZ,” said the rep. “The Standard has already terminated the individual and will now be pursuing all available civil and criminal remedies. The Standard will next be turning over all available information to the criminal authorities.”

It’ll be interesting to find out who released the video, and what criminal charges will be brought against him or her. Unfortunately, that big money will be fast money, since that person will need the $250,000 to live off of after being fired, and there’s those legal fees that are likely to come as a result of breaching security policies.

OutKast Performs at Adult Swim Upfront Party

After promising to headline over 40 music festivals this year, OutKast is keeping their word. Last night, the duo took over Adult Swim’s Upfront party in New York City with a special show.

Celebrities like Nick Cannon, Mike Tyson and Questlove were all reportedly at the Terminal 5 venue, enjoying a set that included cuts like ‘B.O.B.’ and ‘So Fresh, So Clean.’ “At the sound booth in the cut at this secret Outkast show. Shhhh.. I snuck out the house LOL,” shared Nick on Instagram.

Adult Swim has a history of big names perform at its annual Upfront party. Last year, Kanye West took the stage and surprised the crowd with a new song and rant.

Will Jay Z Be Best Man at Kanye West's Wedding?

The plans for Kanye West‘s and Kim Kardashian’s wedding has been major talk since the couple announced their engagement back in October 2013. Millions of people are curious to know whether they’ll get married in Paris, California or outer space (that’s not far off for these two). There’s even been rumors that the two are already married.

The latest news about their impending nuptials surrounds who will be there, and according to RadarOnline, Jay Z and Beyonce will be in attendance, which shouldn’t be too much of a surprise. The bigger news: Hov will be Kanye’s best man.

The ‘Flashing Lights’ rapper received a gift from his “big brother” and it was addressed from the “best man.”

“The best news came when Jay sent a gift to Kanye with an inscription referring to Jay Z as the rapper’s best man,” a source revealed. “The gift was a gold-plated, diamond-encrusted flask, delivered with a $10,000 bottle of scotch for Kanye to have for his wedding day.”

There were previous reports that Jay Z and Beyonce weren’t going to attend the ceremony at all to avoid all of the hoopla and fanfare since Kardashian is a reality TV star and would likely film the event. However, it seemed they apparently changed their minds. Good news for West.

“Kanye was almost jumping up and down, he was so excited,” said the insider. “He was running around Kris’ house to find Kim saying, ‘Baby, look, Jay and B are coming.’ Kanye has been begging Jay to reconsider his decision not to come to the wedding, an even more devastating decision that left Kanye groomsman-less when he declined being his best man during the televised nuptials.”

Solange will likely have to steer clear of the wedding considering her recent altercation with Jay Z.

RZA, who recently partnered with Dr. Pepper's "One of a Kind Studio Sessions" to release an exclusive EP, explains what makes him unique. "What makes me one of a kind...is what makes all of us one of a kind. I know that there's no other me. And if you like me, there's only one place to get it: from me."

He's working with two other master producers, The Hood Internet and David Andrew Sitek, who will collaborate with Rockie Fresh, RAC, Robert DeLong, and Tinashe to develop three independent EPs with 12 tracks each.

White Teens Celebrate Graduation With "N*gga We Made It" Signs

In an example of when listening to Drake goes wrong, some White Georgia teens are currently in the hot seat after celebrating graduation by hanging up a huge banner that read "N*gga We Made It!" on their high school campus, as well as plastering the phrase on school walls and windows.

Officials at South Forsyth County High School released a statement condemning the act:

"South Forsyth High School Parents: This morning, without our knowledge, students placed a derogatory sign with a verse from a song by Drake on our school as a senior prank. We removed it as soon as it was brought to our attention and deeply apologize for their behavior. This is unacceptable and I promise you that the students will receive the appropriate consequences for their actions."

Meek Mill Blasts Philadelphia District Attorney for 'Racist' Behavior

For the past six years, Meek Mill has been bumping heads with the Philadelphia District Attorney. The person appointed to his case has had a huge say in his career, in terms of where he can and cannot, and whether he can move out of state or not. The rapper isn’t pleased one bit.

That’s why he took to his Twitter account recently and hurled a bunch of insults at the D.A’s office. According to the ‘Dreams and Nightmares’ creator, they’ve purposely been hounding him because he’s famous.

“Every time I go 2 probation it’s a new thing,” Meek wrote in tweets that have since been deleted. “The D.A. on my case a racist. I caught that case when I was 18 [and] she’s still bothering me….I go 2 court July 11th. I want every piece of press 2 see the way they try 2 handle my case because I’m famous.”

But is he right? The Philadelphia court system could be trying to make an example out of him. Remember when a judge sent him to etiquette classes back in January?

And Meek has reportedly had a difficult time maximizing on his show opportunities because the D.A. has stood in his way from traveling freely, despite the fact he’s being productive and staying away from crime.

“I been on probation almost 6 years without going back 2 jail,” he tweeted. “I’ve been going 2 see probation every 30 days for almost 6 years.”

In addition, he says the local powers that be don’t want him to leave his hometown so he can fully prosper. “They want me 2 live in Philly so I can get killed or catch a dumb case and go 2 jail. They won’t be happy til it happen,” he shared.

Hopefully, the Philadelphia court system will ease up on Meek a bit. Could it be the D.A.’s office is being even harder on him after he filed a civil lawsuit against the city? Unfortunately, the Maybach Music Group signee lost the suit. He believed his civil rights were violated after he was pulled over by police in October 2012 without just cause.

Earl Sweatshirt Gets Personal on 'Chum' Remix, Shows Off Hollywood Home [VIDEO]

It seems like many rappers stay away from introspective songs these days. Sometimes, in order to pull off one of these tracks correctly, an MC has to express vulnerability, which they typically shy away from. However, there are some who express themselves without fear. Earl Sweatshirt is one of those rappers, as he displays on the remix to ‘Chum.’

For the remixed version of the original RandomBlackDude-produced track, Left Brain brightens it up a bit with a whiny synthesizer riff. This effort also contains slow, dragging drums, which leaves enough space for Earl to speak his mind.

“It’s probably been 12 years since my father left / Left me fatherless / And I just use to say I hate him in dishonest jest / When honestly I miss this n—- like when I was 6 / And every time I had the chance to say it I would swallow it,” spits the 20-year-old Odd Future member.

In addition, the folks at The FADER magazine and Sonos take a trip to Earl’s Los Angeles home for their monthly ‘At Home With…’ series. The young spitter shows off his digs and reveals that though he’s glad to have his own place, he wishes he lived somewhere besides Hollywood.

“If I got a second chance I would not live here,” he admits. “I live in the middle of Hollywood. That’s like living in Las Vegas. It’s just nasty. Honestly, when I got an apartment I just signed and got my advance. I couldn’t stay at my mom’s house. We were just on separate pages, so I was staying like in between Tyler’s house and Taco’s house. Like sleeping on the couch.”

The visual also shows different areas of Mr. Sweatshirt’s apartment, including his living room, where he jokingly says his couch was handcrafted in Italy back in 1897, although it’s actually just a regular sofa.

Scott Storch Talks Making His Own Lane in EDM (@scottstorch)

Scott Storch sat down with Mikey-T The Movie Star to discuss his newfound love of EDM, collaborating with its heavy hitters, and developing his own sound within the genre.

Storch shared his experience of attending the Ultra Music Festival, one of the biggest EDM festivals in the world.

"It was incredible, it was a wild experience. It was amazing to watch the crowd and feel the energy, the culture, everything that comes with Ultra. To see diehard EDM fans...it's just a whole movement, man. It's incredible."

Storch chopped it up with EDM heavy hitters during the festival, including Carnage, Afro Jack, Martin Garrix and more.

He goes on to explain how EDM is such an intense form of music to make, admitting that he underestimated its depth. He also acknowledges that he's still learning and gives nothing but respect to EDM artists, and feels the same love in return.

"It's the same phenomenon as with...actors appreciating sports or music, or vice versa, music people appreciating actors. It's the same kind of deal with people who make Hip-Hop music to people who make electronica."

Talib Kweli and Raekwon Go Bar for Bar in 'Violations' Video

Veteran rhyme-slingers Talib Kweli and Raekwon spit hardcore rhymes in their new video for ‘Violations,’ which premiered on MTV Jams today (May 15). The Thaddeus Dixon-produced banger is from Kweli’s latest album, ‘Gravitas.’

In the clip, helmed by fellow rapper R.A. the Rugged Man, Rae and Kweli are being questioned by police for busting murder raps on fake rappers. The dynamic duo go bar for bar while getting their mugshots taken and while chilling in an interrogation room.

“It’s the champion flow, the Jordan, LeBron and Kobe / The Obi Wan Kenobi, of getting that guap-a-mole,” boasts Kweli.

His partner-in-rhyme Raekwon also drops some sharp lyrics as well.

“Rough as alligator skin / Getting crazy grip / I’m so amazing with words, I make a baby spit / Resting in Tibet, wild with the Gillette,” he raps.

Overall, Kweli and Rae’s ‘Violations’ is a great performance video showcasing two MCs whose flows are so crazy “it’s adderall with the padded walls.”

Trey Songz on August Alsina: He Said Things He Doesn't Mean (@treysongz)

With the success of August Alsina's studio debut album, Testimony, fans and media alike want to know more about the New Orleans singer, but most of his interviews tend to focus on his so called "beef" with fellow R&B cat Trey Songz. While he has addressed it in several interviews, he recently shut down the topic during his now infamous appearance on 106 & Park. Still, fans have been waiting for Trey Songz to clap back, and the son of VA has finally responded.

In an interview with Capital Xtra Radio, Trey says the two had a misunderstanding and Alsina didn't know how to handle it:

"August is like a little brother to me. You know what I mean? I took him on early in his career. We had a discrepancy and he didn't know how to deal with that. He hasn't been in a situation where he has to answer the same question a million times. That's frustrating so you know, I believe he spoke and said some things he didn't really mean. Out of pressure. I really care about him. I mean, he got a lot going on in his life, outside of music. And I know that about him."

Continuing to take the high road, Trey says he never felt the need to bash Alsina in retaliation:

"I didn't feel the need to speak out against him; that really don't do nothing for me. I don't wanna see nobody do bad. If a new artist come in and I think they're talented, I wouldn't have jumped on his song or been all in this picture, that picture. Have him here, there with me..."

‘Lemonade’ is the first single from Danity Kane’s forthcoming third album.

Always in the midst of controversy, ‘Lemonade’ has some fans wondering if Danity Kane is missing one of its members. The cover art for the single features only three girls and group mates Dawn Richard, Aubrey O’Day and Shannon Bex have all tweeted about the song while Aundrea Fimbres has not. This has led some media outlets to speculate that Fimbres may be M.I.A. from the new album.

Chris Brown Sues Los Angeles Man for Extortion

While Chris Brown sits in a jail cell, his legal battles continue to mount. However, he’s fighting back. The R&B singer is countersuing a basketball player for extortion.

According to TMZ, Brown is suing Malcolm Ausbon over an alleged fight that happened during a pick-up basketball game at a Los Angeles gym.

Ausbon originally sued Brown claiming he assaulted him over a foul call and then proclaimed he was affiliated with the Bloods gang. Ausbon also alleges that he sustained injuries all over his body and had to be hospitalized.

The ‘Loyal’ singer, who was recently sentenced to 131 more days in jail for violating his probation, denies that he attacked Ausbon.

Brown’s suit alleges that Ausbon knew he was falsely accusing the singer but his attorney later sent in this written demand:

Mr. Ausbon believes $250,000 will suffice compensating him for his physical and emotional injuries. Mr. Ausbon is placed in a position by the LAPD where he needs to decide whether he will press charges for aggravated assault and battery. However, Mr. Ausbon prefers not to resort to filing these claims or the lawsuit. He would rather be compensated.”

Mark Geragos, Brown’s lawyer, said Ausbon promised to keep the incident a secret if Brown coughed up the money, but the singer refused to pay.

Attorneys for Malcolm Ausbon had no comment on the matter.

Rihanna and Drake Call It Quits

Say it isn’t so. After their whirlwind romance in Europe earlier this year, it appears that Rihanna and Drake may have broken up — again.

This bit of news shouldn’t be a shocker since the pair have been dating on and off since 2009. According to Us Weekly, RiRi and Drizzy called it quits after having a heated argument.

“Rihanna and Drake had another fight,” said a source. “He is too in love with her, which has always been the problem. They have been fighting, but that could all change any day now. It is how it always is with them.”

After a few months of separation, the ‘Take Care’ couple rekindled their romance in Paris in February. In March, while the Toronto rapper was on his European tour, the pair were inseparable. The ‘Stay’ singer reportedly spent every single night with Drake, who catered to her every whim.

Recently, Rihanna threw a post-Met Gala bash in New York and Drake was nowhere to be found. A source confirmed to Us Weekly that they are “currently on yet another break.”

Although Drake and Rihanna have called it quits, we hope that the Grammy-winning couple can find love in a hopeless place.

RZA and Tinashe Collaborate on 'Doctor' for 'One of a Kind Studio Sessions' EP

Unexpected collaborations are always exciting, especially when it involves one lauded hip-hop figure and an R&B newbie.

Dr. Pepper launches a new project called ‘One of a Kind Studio Sessions,’ in which talented producers are paired up with burgeoning artists to create fresh tracks.

RZA is one the beatmakers tapped for the effort. One song that’s been getting immediate notice is his collaboration with singer Tinashe, the fittingly-titled ‘Doctor.’

The Wu-Tang Clan leader created an airy left-of-center track for Tinashe’s breathy vocals. There’s a muted electric guitar riff, about three different percussion sounds playing simultaneously and synthesizers that bounce in and out of the young singer’s vocals.

As far as Tinashe, her name has been buzzing since she released two mixtapes in 2012 — ‘In Case We Die’ and ‘Reverie’ — plus her collaboration with Schoolboy Q, ’2 On.’ On ‘Doctor,’ she doesn’t disappoint, lyrically or vocally.

“Bring me, bring me, bring me a doctor / Need it need it bring me another,” sings the Los Angeles resident.

In a recent interview, RZA said he never heard of Tinashe before working with her, but when the two met, he took the necessary amount of time to become familiar with her style and songwriting approach.

“I wasn’t familiar with Tinashe’s work, but when I heard her song I liked her style and vocal level that she displayed,” said the New York native in an interview with Spin magazine. “We approached it on a collaborative manner. I sat with her and we just vibed, and let her voice and style of music guide what she would write. Then went to putting my touch on it to give it just a twist of what I like.”

The Hood Internet and David Andrew Sitek are the other producers involved in the creation of the EPs. Artists Rockie Fresh, RAC and Robert DeLong will also be collaborating on the project.
