Ray J's Girlfriend Princess Threatens Suicide After Breakup
Just days after the murder-suicide of Earl Hayes and Stephanie Moseley, another Hollywood couple dealt with a potential suicide.
According to TMZ, ‘Love & Hip-Hop Hollywood’ star Ray J was worried about his now ex-girlfriend, Princess, who threatened to kill herself after he broke up with her.
On Tuesday (Dec. 9), the singer ended their relationship, which prompted a number of texts from Princess. However, when Ray J didn’t answered them, she threatened to take her own life, which he took very seriously and he called 911. Ray J was ultra sensitive to the situation in light of Hayes’ tragic death.
Afterwards, police went to the former couple’s home, where Ray J admitted a gun was kept in the residence, but Princess wasn’t home when they arrived. Thankfully, she was later contacted and seemed to calm down a bit. She told Ray J that she wasn’t going to follow through with the morbid threat.
Hopefully, Ray J and Princess can work things out because we don’t need to see another sad Hollywood couple death. We have to admit, after watching them on the ‘Love & Hop-Hop Hollywood reunion special,’ the pair do have a strange relationship.
Nevertheless, we wish Ray J and Princess the best.

Princess Love Threatens Suicide After Ray J Breaks Up With Her
While fans last saw Ray J and Princess Love working out their tumultuous relationship during the Love & Hip Hop Hollywood reunion, it seems things have taken a turn for the worse, as TMZ is reporting that Ray J frantically called 911 today (12/10) and told the dispatcher that Princess threatened to commit suicide.
Fabolous Plays Mobb Boss Frank White in 'Lituation' Video
We all know that Fabolous can spit clever punchlines and heartfelt verses, but can he act? In his new video for ‘Lituation,’ the Brooklyn rhymer flexes his thespian talents.
In the clip, Fidel Cashflow gets his Christopher Walken on, playing the role of Frank White from the 1990 film ‘King of New York.’
The video opens up with the rapper gunning down a rival in cold blood and from there, it shifts to a performance shot with Fabo standing in front of a graffiti piece that says ‘Young OG,’ which is taken from his forthcoming project, ‘The Young OG Project.’
Afterward, he rides around town with his gorgeous ride-or-die chick, who carries her own pistol and checks on a hostage that her and Fabolous have in the trunk.
Borrowing more from ‘King of New York,’ the visual goes into the movie’s infamous scene of Laurence Fishburne walking into a Chinese restaurant and rudely ordering food. Soon after, police come in and arrest the guy who tries to leave without paying.
Clearly, director Gerard Victor has put together a dope concept for the video. Plus, Fabolous isn’t a bad actor.
The ‘Lituation’ video should help build anticipation for Fabo’s mixtape, ‘The Young OG Project.’

Drake and Diddy Fought Over '0 To 100′ Beat [VIDEO]
More news have surfaced regarding Drake and Diddy‘s much-publicized fight in Miami this past weekend. Apparently, the two men had fisticuffs over a beat.
As we previously reported, the brawl between Drizzy and Puff took place at LIV nightclub during Art Basel. Although not confirmed, the violent incident put the Toronto rapper in the hospital with a dislocated shoulder.
According to TMZ, the two fought over the ’0 to 100′ beat, which was created by Boi-1da. Reportedly, the Bad Boy founder was given the instrumental first when he flew the producer out to Miami, but he sat on the vocals.
In fact, the gossip website released a video that shows the ‘Last Train To Paris’ creator telling a packed club that Drake stole his song, and then, he played it for the crowd. Of course, the Grammy-nominated track has spawned countless remixes from everyone, including Juicy J to Meek Mill.
As for the actual fight, it’s being reported that Diddy told the OVO rhymer that “You’ll never disrespect me again,” and hauled off and punched him in the shoulder, which re-injured it and sent Drake to the emergency room.
Since then, the Canadian superstar has been silent about the incident until now, as he recently returned to Instagram. The Young Money rhymer posted a photo of himself standing in a robe, and if you look closely, it appears that his arm is being kept in a sling underneath. He also wrote a message that looks like he’s referring to the fight.
“They’re either talking s— about you or stealing the s— you’re talking,” he wrote in the caption. “Either way the name been poppin.”
Time will clearly tell if Drake or Diddy will ever speak directly about their fight or if the incident will be kept behind industry doors.

Nike Kobe 9 Elite 'Christmas'
Nike Basketball’s Christmas themed releases are a big deal each year. If you’re waiting to see what they’ve got up their sleeve for Kobe this year, you’re in luck. Here is a look at the Nike Kobe 9 Elite ‘Christmas’ model in all of its red glory.
With a blend of hyperfuse and flyknit along the upper and a camo outsole, the sneaker sounds too busy for its own good. In the end however, the use of red ties it all together. The Christmas vibe is supplied courtesy of the green on the ankle as well as insole, which rounds out the package like a ribbon on gift wrap.
These show up at retailers on Dec. 26, which means that waking up to them isn’t really an option — unless you count falling asleep in the camp out line.

Nike SB Dunk High 'Dazzle'
If Nike did an Art Basel-themed pack of sneakers, this Nike SB Dunk High ‘Dazzle’ would probably make the cut. The pair merges the worlds of art and sneakers in a pretty straightforward way, but its background isn’t steeped in fine art at all.
The pattern used is actually inspired by the camouflage on military ships in World War 1 and it creates a pretty cool visual effect. Stark black and white lines move across the upper in different directions with matching laces adding to the clutter. A black swoosh and white midsole break things up a bit, but ultimately does little to detract from the overall effect of the clashing lines.
It’s hard not to be hypnotized by the image of this sneaker, so don’t stare at it too long. If you want a pair, the Nike SB Dunk High ‘Dazzle’ can be yours on Dec. 13 for $120.

J. Cole, '2014 Forest Hills Drive' [ALBUM REVIEW]
J. Cole’s position as one of mainstream hip-hop’s heroes is remarkable because of how he falls outside of the genre’s anti-hero narrative.
The appeal of his persona lies on how sympathetic he is. Press-averse and scruffy, the rapper looks like a man of the people just from physical appearance. He’s likeable enough of a star to have fans exclaiming, “We want him to finally win,” when he announced his third album, ‘2014 Forest Hills Drive.’
And emphasis on “finally.” Cole is pretty fortunate to be at the good standing he’s at now since fans were initially rooting for him to be the one sitting on Kendrick Lamar’s throne. The North Carolina hasn’t dropped a bad album; hip-hop fans are just needy — good isn’t good enough. ‘Cole World: The Sideline Story’ was a scattershot attempt at meeting expectations, and ‘Born Sinner,’ while better, was marred by too many tepid stretches. The stakes are higher on ‘2014 Forest Hills Drive’ with no surprise guests to steer the hype machine. With the pressure solely on him to win, Cole amplifies his best and worst traits on his third studio effort.
‘2014 Forest Hills Drive’ is a daring project in a not-so-obvious sense. One main criticism of J. Cole throughout his career is that he’s boring. The bland, overarching theme of retracing progress doesn’t inspire much confidence. However, on this LP, we get Cole’s most cohesive body of work to date. Gone are the obvious and poorly used samples (think ‘Work Out’ and ‘Forbidden Fruit’) in favor of intimate, live instrumentals that give an oven-roasted sense of nostalgia.
Lush chirping vocals on ‘January 28th’ set a romantic air that faintly travels throughout the album. But even with that continuous thread, the production maintains a sense of color throughout. Roc-A-Fella-era Kanye West soul finds its way on ‘Wet Dreamz’ — the most obvious choice of a single here — and bass-heavy controlled panic on ‘Fire Squad’ places itself nicely between the tension on ‘A Tale of 2 Citiez’ and the clear-eyed jazz of ‘St. Tropez.’
Watch J. Cole’s ‘Intro’ Video
It certainly helps that Cole isn’t hiding behind the production value. The goofball punchlines are here (on ‘January 28th’: “Like show me New York’s ladder I climb it and set the bar so high / That you gotta get Obama to force the Air Force to find it”), but there’s an enhanced track-by-track musicality to his words as they flow from lightning-round delivery to competent singing. It makes the on-the-nose concepts a little more digestible.
‘Wet Dreamz’ is further buoyed by Cole’s syrupy cadence in the same way ‘No Role Models’ — another one of the album’s most accessible, socially aware cuts — gets a push from his elasticity as he stretches from urgency to syllable-stretching mantras (“She shallow but the p—- deep” will stick). Cole is a decent pacemaker for the majority of the first half of the album. Not so much for the second half. ‘G.O.M.D.’ is about a minute too long as it cycles through multiple hooks — none delivered with enough charisma to justify them. We also get four schmaltzy, lightly rapped sing-a-long joints to close out the album. When Cole says, “If you made it this far, then I really f— with you,” near the end of ‘Note to Self,’ it feels like he’s referring to the sleepy streak that came before it instead of the track’s 10-minute long “thank you” list.
Cole’s career-long recurring flaw is also what prevents ‘2014 Forest Hills Drive’ from reaching the next tier of excellence. He’s an improved executor, but still lacking as an innovator. ‘Wet Dreamz’ story of virginity is marked by so-so punchlines (“Hadn’t been in p—- since the day I came out one”) and a clichéd plot twist. ‘A Tale of 2 Citiez’ wastes a potentially interesting “Small town n—- Hollywood dreams” on bland tropes instead of insight. On ‘Fire Squad,’ Cole touches on the White Appropriation Plague in what’s sure to be one of the most used #InstagramDeep quotables of the next few weeks. He misses the point — as feckless Eminem has become, he’s not part of the problem — but at least he comes off sharp and definitive.
As with his previous efforts, Cole is still coming off as indistinct in his quest to keep that clear connection with his fans. He hasn’t made a J. Cole album yet, because he keeps making a people’s album. Good is good enough here, but soon it won’t be. It doesn’t alleviate the fear that his goodwill will eventually run out.

Kendrick Lamar Talks About Compton in Reebok Ad 'I Am' [VIDEO]
Since becoming a household name, Kendrick Lamar has been the go-to guy when a company wants to work with a positive rapper. Reebok is the latest company to form a partnership with the TDE lyricist.
Lamar appears in the sneaker company’s new ad titled ‘I Am,’ in which he goes back to his Compton neighborhood to talk about how he started rapping.
“You see gang banging, drug paraphernalia, you see things from the streets, so what you gonna do,” he states. “You gonna find something that you love to do and have a passion for it, or you gonna stay mingling in the streets until something major happens. So the moment I defined myself and freed myself was the time I locked myself in the studio and said you need to do music.”
The clip also features students from Kendrick’s alma mater Centennial High School, and he included them to provide inspiration.
“Reebok has a history of helping kids in the community realize their potential is limitless,” the ‘Section 80′ creator explained in a press release. “I saw what the brand was doing, and I wanted to be a part of it and make it even stronger. It’s as simple as that. Kids that listen to my music are looking for inspiration. It’s important that I continue that message in anything I represent.”
Kendrick is currently in the design phase of his new Reebok shoe, which will be released in 2015.

Seth Rogen Says Kanye West Played Him His New Album
Being part of the celebrity crowd has its perks, and we’re not just talking about having an endless supply of money, fame and women. Sometimes those perks come in exclusivity. Just ask actor-comedian Seth Rogen, who recently was granted a private listen session of Kanye West‘s new album before anyone else.
In an interview with Rolling Stone, the funnyman said he heard a skeleton version of the new tracks when he was in New York. Rogan bumped into West at an unnamed hotel and was invited to join ‘Ye in his limousine van to hear the new material.
“There’s no lyrics, only beats,” he recalls. “So he raps the whole album, and after each song, he stops it, like, ‘So what do you think?’ We were in the van for two hours.”
However, Rogen wasn’t the only one who got to listen to the new tracks. Back in September, Theophilus London said he visited a Kanye West listening session and heard some of the new songs as well. He posted an Instagram photo with the Chicago rapper and producer, but said he was too inebriated to recall what everything sounded like.
“So shortly after this picture I only remember Kanye playing his new album three times in a dark room of 20 people last night, and moshing drunk with mad babes. Haha,” he wrote.
There’s no word yet on when Yeezy plans to drop his new album, but we are impatiently waiting for what his next move will be.
