Suge Knight Pleads Not Guilty to Murder Charges, Hospitalized
It’s safe to say that Suge Knight is under a lot of stress right now. Following his arraignment on murder and attempted murder charges, the former rap mogul had a panic attack and was rushed to a nearby hospital.
CBS Los Angeles reports that Knight was arraigned today (Feb. 3) in a Los Angeles courtroom where he pleaded not guilty to various murder charges. The case stems from an incident last Thursday in which Knight ran over friend Terry Carter with his pick-up truck after an altercation. The attempted murder charges are related to Knight hitting actor Cle “Bone” Sloan with his vehicle — he was not killed.
Sloan’s attorney, Michael Shapiro, says the 51-year-old Sloan is in bad shape with a mangled foot.
“He’s kinda lucky to be alive. One of the tires went over his midsection,” he said. “I suspect that a 165-pound man against a 5,000-pound car, it’s not a good battle. But I think he’s in shock that he even survived.”
Following his hearing, the 49-year-old co-founder of Death Row Records was experiencing chest pains and was rushed to the hospital. His condition is still unknown at this time.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department is still investigating Knight’s fatal hit-and-run case as a homicide. Authorities believe that Knight intentionally used his vehicle as a weapon during his fight with the two men. Knight’s attorney, James Blatt, contends that it was an accident and that Knight was trying to leave after he was being assaulted by both men.
A new bail hearing is scheduled for Monday (Feb. 9) and a preliminary hearing is set for Feb. 19. If convicted on the charges, Knight faces life in prison.

Unlike the newer songs that delve into flings and one night stands, this one is about commitment and long-term relationship.
“Cars, clothes, girls, and games, though the years nothing’s changed / We shared a love like a melody, my sweetest moment is when you’re hear with me,” JoJo sings.
The group then go into a four-part harmony and croon, “Every morning is so sweet, when you laying next to me / Our hearts beating as one, nothing we can’t overcome.”

Joshua Prince, co-founder of Fool’s Gold Records, has passed away. The cause of the 38-year-old designer’s death is unknown, but DJ A-Trak confirmed the sad news on Instagram Monday night (Feb. 2).
Prince, who was also known as Dust La Rock, was the creative director and chief designer for Fool’s Gold between 2007 and 2012. He also designed album covers for rappers Action Bronson, Kid Cudi and Danny Brown, among others. Take a look below to see the single cover for Cudi’s hit song ‘Day ‘N’ Nite’ that Prince created.
A-Trak, who founded Fool’s Gold Records alongside Prince and Nick Catchdubs, honored his “brother” with an elegiac message on his Instagram page. “You helped define so much of what I stand for. Love you man. Still can’t believe this,” he wrote in the caption.
Several members from the hip-hop world also paid tribute to Prince. You can read some of the tweets below.

Azealia Banks' 'Whiteface' Photo Sparks Outrage on Social Media
After engaging in a Twitter war with Iggy Azalea last year, you would think Azealia Banks would keep the peace in 2015. Wrong. The Harlem rhymer is causing a stir on social media again over a photo in which she appears to be in whiteface.
On Monday (Feb. 2), Banks posted a picture of herself on her Instagram page in white makeup and wrote “#whiteface” in the caption. Of course, the photo and comment upset a slew of people on social media.
If you recall, Nick Cannon and Snoop Dogg both received a ton of criticism for donning white makeup and pretending to be goofy white guys.
However, the ‘212’ rapper wasn’t actually doing whiteface. Banks was getting made up into an ice princess for her new music video. Once the backlash started, the polarizing artist took to Twitter to defend herself. Unfortunately, her choice of words didn’t help quell the slander.
“Lol u crackers wish I cared enough to be doing whiteface. I’m becoming the ICE PRINCESS YAAAAAAS,” she tweeted. “I use the word crAcker just as much as I use the word n—–… Don’t get mad now.”
Banks also used the term “misogynoir,” which, according to E! News, is a term coined by gay black feminist scholar Moya Bailey, and refers to anti-black misogyny, where race and gender together are factors in the hatred of black women. The ‘Liquorice’ rhymer also took a swipe at the “gay white media” as well.
Overall, Banks’ angry tweets were acerbic, possibly homophobic and educational. You can read the rest of her tweets below.
