Nike Kobe 9 EXT KRM 'Challenge Red'
Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant isn’t playing around at all these days as he just reached 32,293 points on the NBA scoring list, which puts him ahead of legend Michael Jordan. While Nike is sure to drop a celebratory silhouette sometime soon, in the meantime we’re given a Nike Kobe 9 EXT KRM in ‘Challenge Red.’
As usual, the shoe revels in how high it is by extending well past the ankle, but this time, it’s decked out in ballistic mesh and luxurious snakeskin. The tonality of the challenge red upper is broken a bit by a black outsole and hits of metallic silver paneling come in to ramp up the contrast as well.
We’re not one to stoke the rumor mill but could this BRED-ish colorway be a nod to the student becoming the teacher as far as points go? We aren’t sure, but look out for them to hit retailers like Rock City Kicks on Dec. 20 for $275 a pop.

Nike Air Trainer 3 'Gum Pack'
The New Year hasn’t even begun yet, and Nike is already staking claim with a cache of new kicks that cannot be ignored. Allow us to alert you to the sneaker giant’s 2015 release: the Nike Air Trainer 3.
The ‘Gum Pack’ offers the shoe in a white leather or black suede build for a level of tonality that simplifies an otherwise complex design. This effect allows the white pair’s perforations to leap out, while the black model’s plastic portions pop. The look is completed by a gum outsole, which pushes these kicks over the edge of perfection.
There is no firm release date set for the Nike Air Trainer 3 ‘Gum Pack,’ although they are expected to drop early next year. Honestly, looking at these beautiful sneakers, we’ve never been so happy about getting gum on our soles.

Ne-Yo Releases 'Non-Fiction' Tracklist
As 2014 is on its way out, Ne-Yo is prepping for 2015 with the release of his eighth studio album, ‘Non Fiction,’ set to drop in January.
The follow-up to 2012’s ‘R.E.D.,’ the new LP finds the singer getting back to his R&B roots, led by the singles ‘Money Can’t Buy’ featuring Jeezy and ‘She Knows’ featuring Juicy J.
Ne-Yo is particularly excited about his collaboration with Schoolboy Q, ‘Run.’ Produced by Salaam Remi, the effort centers on the predatory nature of the opposite sex.
“It’s a song that’s kinda talking about that chick who takes pride in breaking up relationships,” Ne-Yo tells The Boombox. “She’s walking, talking, living, breathing temptation. It’s not a typical Ne-Yo song. When you hear this record from the beat to the way that I’m singing, everything about this song is a little different than what you’re used to hearing from me.”
The album drops on Jan. 27, 2015, and is available for pre-order on iTunes. The 19-track album also includes verses from Pitbull, T.I. and Candice.

Pusha T Gets Watched by the Feds in 'Lunch Money' Video
The feds may be watching him through a surveillance camera, but that doesn’t mean Pusha T is staying under the radar in his new video for ‘Lunch Money,’ the Kanye West-produced song that dropped last month.
The clip opens up with a disclaimer: “In October of 2014 a federal task force conducted a sting operation; what the surveillance cameras captured was nothing like what they expected.”
It turns out law enforcement finds Pusha’s workers sitting in a trap house, while they dance, play with their guns and collect huge mounds of cocaine on a table. One of the more eye-catching scenes features one of the workers shooting their pistol at the powdery white pile, making it float around the room like snow while another guy dances in it.
“I was taking n—-s lunch money / Too bad I was f—in’ hungry,” Pusha raps in the Emil Nava-directed visual.
The Virginia-raised MC delivers his menacing rhymes as he rocks an array of outfits. He even wears a black furry vest and black bandanna.
He also drives around at night in a convertible with a gorgeous looking woman in the passenger seat. But despite the expensive looking clothes and cars, the video has a certain grittiness to it, which matches the vibe of the song perfectly.
The G.O.O.D. Music soldier is expected to drop his next album, ‘King Push’ in 2015.

French Montana Finds the Perfect Girl on 'Bad Bitch' Featuring Jeremih
Since linking up with Khloe Kardashian, French Montana‘s stock has risen. He’s moved from a hip-hop staple to being recognized by the likes of TMZ.
So maybe that’s why he seemingly dedicated a song to the reality TV star in his new song ‘Bad Bitch,’ featuring Jeremih, a celebratory cut about having the perfect woman by his side.
“Got a dump truck put a boot on her, I don’t mind tricking spending loot on her / Walk up in the club .22 on her / She a bad bitch put shoes on her, God damn fell in love with a bad bitch, said French take me to Paris,” he spits.
Jeremih sings the hook and also delivers lyrics about a girl that he doesn’t mind spending money on or admitting how much he likes her. “Got a good thing going with a bad bitch, you know who to call when you need it / Wish I had another you, I’m greedy / Sometimes a n—- get greedy,” he croons over heavy strings.
‘Bad Bitch’ will appear on French’s EP, ‘The Appetizer,’ which he drops tomorrow (Dec. 16) for free. His full length album, ‘Mac & Cheese,’ drops next year.

atmos x Ewing Athletics 33 Hi
Since its return, we’ve seen quite a few colorways of the Ewing Athletics 33 Hi. However, it takes a collaborator like atmos to unlock the shoe’s full potential. The two have come together to give the sneaker a powerful makeover.
This blue suede shoe has everything you would want in a performance sneaker. For starters, the blue suede upper is super clean, which is contrasted by a white midsole covered in a blue paint splatter.
For the ankle strap, atmos went with white specks on a black background. Now here’s the really cool part: the white specks also glow in the dark. That fluorescent property carries over to elements on the tongue and outsole as well (see the photo below).
The dual-branded atmos and Ewing Athletics 33 Hi sneaker is set for release on Dec. 20 in limited quantities. This means that if you want them in your collection, set an iCal reminder and log on to atmos-tokyo.com.

Nicki Minaj Addresses Relationship With Meek Mill [VIDEO]
With ‘The Pinkprint’ album set for release this week (Dec. 16), Nicki Minaj is making the promo rounds to discuss the project. The conversation quickly turned to her love life when she sat down to talk with Power 106′s ‘Big Boy’s Neighborhood’ in Los Angeles.
The rapper has been linked to Meek Mill recently — he appears on ‘Buy a Heart’ and ‘Big Daddy’ on ‘The Pinkprint’ — and Big Boy addressed the rumors in a hilarious way, so as not to upset her.
She addressed the collaboration before clearing the air on if there’s a romance brewing between the two. “He had his people send me both of those songs for ‘The Pinkprint’… because he thought he was going to be home in time [from jail] to be on ‘Favorite,’” Nicki said. “When he realized he wasn’t, his people reached out and said, ‘You know Meek wants to give you a couple songs to choose from. He sent me five songs and I chose ‘Buy a Heart’ and ‘Big Daddy.’”
Big Boy then turned up the heat and asked Nicki how she felt about turning down the chance to appear on more songs from “her man.”
After a few laughs, Nicki got serious and shut down any rumors that she and Meek are an item, saying, “We’re friends, he’s dope. Shout out to him.”
Well, there you have it. Nicki may not be with Meek, but she’s apparently a single woman since ending her relationship with Safaree.

D'Angelo's 'Black Messiah' Is Available for Streaming
After a 15-year hiatus, D’Angelo is finally back with a new album, ‘Black Messiah.’ To the delight of fans, the project is available for streaming.
Without warning, D’Angelo dropped the follow-up to 2000’s ‘Voodoo’ on iTunes. Twitter and Instagram users went HAM Sunday (Dec. 14) as they realized the singer was delivering new music for their ears.
The album, which he recorded with his band The Vanguard, features tracks like the first single, ‘Sugah Daddy,’ and 11 other soulful bangers, which makes it a bit easier to forget about the more than decade-long wait for new material.
‘Black Messiah’ is a clear reflection of the current times, taking influence from societal issues. Tracks like ‘1000 Deaths,’ led by guitar strums and heavy drums, combines music and a speech quoting scriptures from the Bible.
D’Angelo addressed the controversial album title at a listening session on Sunday evening. “For me, the title is about all of us. It’s about the world. It’s about an idea we can all aspire to. We should all aspire to be a Black Messiah,” he explained in a pamphlet handed out at the event. “It’s about people rising up in Ferguson and in Egypt and in Occupy Wall Street and in every place where a community had enough and decides to make change happen. It’s not about praising one charismatic leader but celebrating thousands of them.”
It’s clear that D’Angelo had several influences for the album. On ‘Back to the Future’ Part 1 and Part 2, he delivers a futuristic jam session. Jazz and classic R&B saturate the track while D’Angelo offers a sweet serenade.
According to Questlove, who also played on the album, the passion project “is everything.” Fans can now draw their own conclusions thanks to Spotify.

Fat Joe and Ja Rule Reunite to Perform 'What's Luv?' at Resorts World Casino New York City
Classic New York hip-hop was the soundtrack at the Resorts World Casino New York City on Saturday (Dec. 13), where Ja Rule and Fat Joe took the stage to perform hits from their respective catalog of hits.
Ja, who was also shooting for his forthcoming MTV reality series, ‘Follow the Rules,’ took the stage with his friends and family in tow. He kicked off his set with a prayer before jumping right into his 2001 duet with Jennifer Lopez, ‘I’m Real.’
The Hollis, Queens, N.Y. native was happy to be back home as he kept the throwbacks coming, performing hits like ‘Holla Holla,’ ‘Between Me and You’ and ‘Always on Time.’ In lieu of the crowd’s excitement, towards the end of his 30-minute set, the former Murda Inc. frontman took time out to acknowledge the nationwide protests in the wake of the deaths of Eric Garner and Mike Brown.
“It’s not just a black thing, it’s not just a white thing, it’s a human thing,” Ja Rule told the audience. “But it’s about us right now, because black lives matter.”
He closed his set with his verse from the anthem ‘New York,’ which also features Fat Joe. However, at the time, Joey Crack was not in the building to join him.
By the time Joe hit the stage, it was almost 11PM and the audience was still hype. Dressed in an all black leather look, the rapper came out to the DJ Khaled banger ‘We Takin’ Over.’
Just when concertgoers started to fuss about Ja and Joe not taking the stage together, they got what they were hoping for. Ja came back out and Joe even got nostalgic, opening up to the crowd about how the ‘Holla Holla’ MC and Irv Gotti believed in him after Big Pun died and critics said his career was over.
“Ja and Irv called me up and said I have something for you. I went up to the hit factory and it was this song,” Joey told the crowd before the DJ dropped ‘What’s Luv.’
By the end of the night, the spirit of the early 2000s was in the air and fans were eagerly asking when Fat Joe and Ja Rule will return with new music.
