Bruno Mars Delivers Energetic Halftime Show at 2014 Super Bowl

On a wonderful balmy night in New Jersey, Bruno Mars turn MetLife Stadium into a huge outdoor club of good music and good vibes. The singer-songwriter’s halftime show at the 2014 Super Bowl was nothing but energetic and fun.

A chorus of beautiful children singing Mars’ hit ‘Millionaire’ kicked off his set as we’re introduced to the singer playing the drums in a gold blazer.

This led to his infectious jam ‘Locked Out of Heaven’ with his band and background singers who were also wearing the same attire — gold blazer and tailored suits — as their musical leader.

Bruno then segued into his sunshine-y ballad ‘Treasure’ followed by ‘Runaway Baby’ to a snippet of The Isley Brothers‘ version of ‘Shout.’ It was then Mars showed off his fantastic footwork that would make the late Godfather of Soul James Brown proud.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers then entered the stage to perform their 1991 rap-rock hit ‘Give it Away.’ A shirtless Anthony Kiedis and Flea had the crowd head-nodding furiously to their song, while guitarist Josh Kinghoffer was flinging his ax around onstage.

Bruno then slowed it down with the tender ballad ‘Just the Way You Are’ from his 2010 album, ‘Doo-Wops & Hooligans.’ Amid fireworks exploding the air, the tunesmith serenaded the crowd with his heartwarming lyrics.

Although Bruno Mars’ set was short and sweet, it clearly showed why he is such a show-stopping performer.

Reactions to his halftime concert were overwhelmingly positive. Check out the tweets below:

In an article published on the Fox News website, O'Reilly also cites marriage out of wedlock is a contributing factor to the many being poor. "In 1963, just 6 percent of American babies are born out of wedlock. Now 41 percent are and that includes 72 percent of African- American babies," reads a snippet from the O'Reilly article.
