"I don't know why people make a big deal out of this," he said. "Goddammit a n*** don't eat p**** I'm young, I guess the world we live in that's what goes on. Everybody just eating everybody and I'm cool right now. One day, of course but blah blah."

Rosci Defends Keshia Chante After August Alsina Blow Up On 106 (@rocsidiaz)

August Alsina is over the Trey Songz questions.

During August Alsina's interview on 106 & Park yesterday, the singer was asked by 106 co-host Keshia Chante about his fall out with the R&B singer. While August made it clear that he wanted to talk about his debut album Testimony, Keshia asked the question anyway and got a very heated answer.

"So you just gonna go against the grain and go against everything.. I just told ya'll not to ask me that s*** when I got up in here." he said.

August didn't answer the question and the host moved on. While August introduced his new video, Keisha who was visibly upset walked off the stage.

Fans took to Twitter to call out the singer for his behavior, while others believed Keshia set herself up for trouble when she asked the question. Former 106 & Park Host Rosci Diaz chimed in on the debate and offered words of encouragement to the host.

"Let me go on record and say Keshia Chante did her job as a journalist," she tweeted. "Any other Radio or TV personality or blogger would have asked to. 2 even applaud how she was responded 2 is what's wrong with our generation 2day. Also that language on @106andpark its not even necessary."

She also noted that Terrance J would have protected her if the she was cursed out by a guest on the show.

Check out the interview above along with some fan reactions in the slide.

MC Hammer Hit With $1.4 Million Tax Bill, Claims He Paid It

MC HammerMichael Kovac, Getty Images

It looks like the Internal Revenue Service doesn’t quit when it comes to getting their money. The IRS has slapped MC Hammer with another huge tax bill.

According to TMZ, the ‘U Can’t Touch This’ rapper owes the IRS $1.4 million in penalties and interest for taxes owed in 1996.

MC Hammer, whose real name is Stanley Burrell, filed for bankruptcy in 1996, and thought he paid off his debt when he ponied up $7 million in 2007. But Uncle Sam disagreed and sent him a bill for penalties and interest.

Hammer feels the IRS is being unfair and has filed documents asking a judge to block the IRS from collecting.

The rap legend joins a long list of artists who owe the IRS money in back taxes. Rappers Lil Wayne and Tyga are both in tax debt, while Lauryn Hill took care of her reported tax bill.

Eric Biddines Releases Slavery-Inspired Video for 'Railroads Down/Unfinished'

Eric Biddines is an independent rapper who’s making a name for himself for his thought-provoking rhymes and inspirational music. In his new video for ‘Railroads Down/Unfinished,’ the Florida rhymer presents a metaphorical visual with a slavery theme.

Directed by Ryan Snyder, the clip takes its cues from ’12 Years a Slave’ as Biddines plays a runaway slave who gets capture by his owner. Then he’s hog-tied and whipped in front of the other slaves.

According to Biddines, he’s using the slavery narrative to metaphorically explain his struggles in the music business as an independent artist.

“This is the metaphor I use throughout the song and video to show the struggles of my time so far in the music business,” Biddines explains. “I’m truly inspired by anyone with their back against the wall, anyone who has been in a situation where they had to accept the environment they were placed in and not be able to fight their way out.”

“We are all trains with powerful engines on a Journey to our next destination,” he continues. “And it’s up to us to lay the railroads down in a way that would lead us to freedom.”

Pharrell Gets Choked Up Over Success of 'Happy' During Oprah Interview [VIDEO]

Between the worldwide success of ‘Happy’ to his infamous hat, hardly a week goes by when you don’t hear about Pharrell Williams — or anything associated with him and his music. So Oprah wanted to get to know the man behind all of the hit singles during an in-depth interview on ‘Oprah Prime.’

Premiering on Sunday (April 13), Oprah sat down with the singer, songwriter and producer to talk about his latest album, ‘G I R L,’ his recent nuptials with Helen Lasichanh and how music shaped his life. With so much to talk about and only an hour to do it, O dove right in and Pharrell was ready.

While the interview really showed what goes through Pharrell’s mind, things turned real sweet when the topic turned toward the overwhelming success of ‘Happy.’ Oprah pulled up a mash-up of all of the fan-made videos made by people throughout the globe, which resulted in Pharrell tearing up.

“Why am I crying on Oprah?” he said between tears.

But after composing himself, he did talk about how grateful he is to his music teachers, grandmother and just everyone who’s really pushed for him to pursue music. “It’s overwhelming because I love what I do and people have believed in me for so long that I can make it to this point, to feel that,” he said.

He also delved into the obstacles he experienced while trying to start a solo career and be the guy in the limelight. “I had accepted that I was gonna be a writer and a producer, and I was happy to be the guy standing next to the guy,” the Virginia native shared.

Nas: Will Smith Wrote 'Gettin' Jiggy Wit It,' Not Me (@nas)

Today (April 15th) Nas decided to hop on his verified Reddit account and debunk one of Hip-Hop's great myths: Did he ghost write "Gettin' Jiggy With It" for Will Smith?

Nas clears the air, saying he threw out a line or two, but nothing more.

"Alright, let's clear this up once and for all. I hung out with Will in the studio. And watched him write it. It was a fun studio session, and I said a line or two or three to him. It wasn't that serious. Will Smith wrote that song. But seriously, I watched him have fun making that record on his own, and Will is a true MC."

Suge Knight Says YG Leads the Pack of New West Coast Rappers (@yg, @sugeknight)

Over the last three years, it can be argued that the West Coast has had a Hip-Hop renaissance. With artists like Kendrick Lamar, SchoolBoy Q, Ab-Soul, Jay-Rock, Tyler the Creator, Kid Ink, Problem, Tyga, Ty-Dolla $ign, Sage the Gemini and several others taking over national and international Hip-Hop conversations, there certainly has been a shift towards the west.

Former Death Row CEO Suge Knight told BET.com that he feels "My Hitta" rapper YG is the leader of the pack because he's the most authentic among them.

"YG is in a class by himself [when it comes to] new West Coast artists," noted Suge. "I think the difference is that, some people have a script, some people have a motive. They turn around and say, 'OK, I'ma be from this neighborhood and I'm going to represent this neighborhood because I'm trying to get on as a rapper.' YG really represent that s**t."

Despite the success of Kendrick Lamar and even Game, Knight also says YG is the only rapper really representing Compton.

"YG really pushing 'Bompton.' Other than that I can't think of one Compton rapper [doing the same], even if it's Game," said Suge. "Game in an article saying that he's a 'former' gang member. You're not old enough to really be a gang member yet you say you're a 'former' gang member. YG is a guy that, he represent his music, he represents the city. YG is the only one that made it that has not bowed down and showed he had panties."

Do you think YG is the best artist out of Cali right now?

50 Cent Is After the Money on 'Hustler'

HustlerG-Unit

After the hubbub around ‘Love & Hip Hop’ dies down and the season premieres, hip-hop fans will have 50 Cent‘s ‘Animal Ambition’ to look forward to. Singles like ‘Hustler’ should only increase the anticipation.

50 Cent rides on Jake One’s wobbly keys and marching percussion to return to his Queens-bred hustling mindset. The conscientious, introspective rapper isn’t here, but the perpetually flossing Fiddy is and he comes with glee.

Although ‘Hustler’ is standard in its hook-verse formula, 50 Cent is as street-minded as he’s been with recent tracks. This is more about flourishing then being threatening, even though 50 Cent still mentions he’s still wearing the bulletproof vest on the outro.

‘Animal Ambition,’ 50 Cent’s first album since leaving Interscope, arrives June 3.
