August Alsina Says He Shouldn't Have Respect For Trey Songz (@TreySongz @AugustAlsina)

In an interview with Philly radio station's Shamara and Laiya August Alisina talked about his issues with Trey Songz.

Since revealing to Rap-Up about the beef with Trey, Alsina claims that the singer tried to cancel an interview Alsina had in Trey's hometown.

"First of all I was doing an interview and I heard something that I didn't like," he said. "I don't have a problem with no body. The word "beef" we not goin do that [be]cause n**** die when n****beef. My n**** always say 'you are better off fighting AIDS or Cancer before you beef with me and my n**** and that's just what it is. I be playing it cool with n**** but when you tell someone something to try and take away from my money and that's [how] I feed my family then it becomes personal. Like don't call the radio station and tell nobody 'please don't let him do an interview because blah blah'. I would never do that to the next man because this how we feed our family. I don't be on no petty shit like that man but if that's what you really want then you need to come see me and make sure I don't get in that motherf***a."

In the past the two worked on the remix to Alsina's hit song "l Luv This S***"" wtih Chris Brown. When asked if he should respect Trey because of their similarities in R&B, Alsina blatantly said, "Fu** No."

New York Mom Dead After Plastic Surgery in Dominican Republic

A New York mother has died after undergoing botched plastic surgery in the Dominican Republic. She leaves behind a four-year-old daughter.

Beverly Brignoni, 28, was one of hundreds of foreigners who travel to the island nation each year for cosmetic procedures which would cost them three times as much in the United States.

In Brignoni's case, something went terribly wrong. She died February 20 from what the doctor told her family was a massive pulmonary embolism while getting a tummy tuck and liposuction at a Santo Domingo clinic recommended by friends.

Family members are demanding that local authorities investigate Brignoni's death.

"We want to know exactly what happened," said Bernadette Lamboy, the woman's godmother. "We want to know if there was negligence."

Brignoni's relatives plan on filing a formal complaint with the district attorney's office for Santo Domingo, at which point an investigation should commence.

The DR, along with countries such as Costa Rica, Mexico, and Thailand, has promoted itself as a destination for medical tourism, where patients can relax at a resort for a few days after undergoing procedures.

Brignoni's final Facebook post was a photo she took of her hands holding her passport and boarding pass for her flight from New York to Santo Domingo.

Benzino's Nephew Claims Self-Defense in Shooting, Rapper Speaks Out

Gai Scott, the nephew of ‘Love & Hip Hop’ reality star Benzino says he was acting in self-defense when he shot his uncle during a funeral procession for his mother in Boston Saturday (March 29). On Monday (March 31), Scott was arraigned on a charge of armed assault with intent to murder in Plymouth District Court.

Scott’s attorney, John Ciraulo, told the judge that his client was defending himself when the altercation happened on Route 3 in Duxbury, Mass. According to police, there’s been a brewing tension between Benzino and Scott.

“When the dust settles it will be abundantly clear that Mr. Scott (Gai) is a licensed gun owner and was acting in self-defense,” said Ciraulo (quotes courtesy of Wicked Local Plymouth).

The judge ordered that Scott be held without bail pending a dangerousness hearing on Wednesday (April 2).

Meanwhile, Benzino, born Raymond Scott, continues to recover in the hospital from a bullet wound to his right arm that he sustained in the altercation.

From his hospital bed, the rapper talked about the harrowing incident and blames himself for it.

“I’m more embarrassed than anything else to be honest with you,” Benzino told TheNEHipHop. “Because of me being a public figure and having to see that me and my family is going through that… I didn’t appreciate that. At the end of the day, my mother is up there with her family now. She’s happy.”

Benzino wouldn’t explain why Gai Scott wanted to shoot at him during a funeral procession. However, the Boston native did reveal that he was shot in his arm and back.

Interestingly, producers from his show ‘Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta’ are in town filming this whole spectacle.

The trip to Petit Valley was a memorable one for the ‘Trap Lord’ creator, who recently posted a photo on Instagram of himself sitting in the locale with the caption “missing Petit valley #Trinidad.”

Queens Man Murdered for "Snitching" on Thieves who Robbed Him (@dnainfo)

Last week, a 33 year old man was found brutally murdered, decomposing in a trash bag. Police have reason to believe this may have been done in retaliation for the man "snitching" on three men who robbed him two years ago.

Jamaica, Queens native Quynton Ross didn't come home that Sunday night, and his mother used the "Find My iPhone" app to track him down. It showed he was on a boardwalk in the Rockaways and she immediately notified police. After discovering his body, police found a rap video on YouTube containing vital information for solving the case. In other words, the culprits "snitched" on themselves.

According to DNAInfo:

"The video begins with a knock on the door of what is described as Ross' home. With rap music thumping in the background, the video presents a poster-like photo of Ross, with the words 'Big Time Snitch' on it along with a Free Dictionary explanation that a "deponent is someone who gives evidence or acts as a witness." The video then shows someone flipping through pages of the 2011 indictment against the three suspects, accompanied by the muffled voice of an ominous narrator who says Ross 'used to be their homeboy.'"

The photographer and father of a 4-year-old daughter Ross was robbed in 2011 in his own home of a watch, cash, earrings, diamonds and his iPod. Four months later he and another victim cooperated with police to help track down the thieves who continued to commit robberies in the neighborhood. Months later the three suspects were caught and charged with several robberies throughout Queens. The trio cut deals that sent them to prison, however one of the three convicts was released just two days before Ross vanished Sunday morning.

Stephen A. Smith: Kobe's Trayvon Martin Comment was "On Point" (@stephenasmith, @)

ESPN commentator Stephen A. Smith recently sat down with late night talk show host Arsenio Hall to share his opinion on NBA superstar Kobe Bryant's recent controversial statement in The New Yorker, where he critiqued the intent of many African Americans blindly dupporting the Trayvon Martin case, stating "I won't react to something just because I'm supposed to, because I'm an African-American."

Smith broke down what he believes Kobe meant by the statement:

"Kobe Bryant basically has the attitude that justice should be equal no matter what, whether it's regards to race or gender, and that was his position. All he was trying to say was that "excuse me, let's listen to the facts first, let's make sure we know everything before we jump out and judge accordingly. You can't sit there and take somebody's side just because they're an African-American. You can't turn around and assume that people of other races are ever going to be fair to you if are not willing to exercise fairness yourself...me personally, I think that he was right and on point with that."

Watch Smith break it all down above. Do he and Kobe have a point, or are they being insensitive?

Lil Scrappy: Racist Salon Refused to Serve My Daughter (@reallilscrappy)

Love & Hip Hop star Lil Scrappy is calling racism on a salon that refused to serve his family on his daughter's birthday.

Scrappy told TMZ that he made the appointment far in advance and put down a down payment for their space and services. His plan was to treat his daughter to a fresh hair style and throw her a birthday party at the high-end salon for children.

Scrappy, his child's mother Erica Dixon and their daughter arrived 20 minutes late and the salon refused to let them in the building. When Scrappy complained and told the staff that he'd already made a down payment, he says the staff running the salon (who happened to be white) allegedly told him they didn't want to serve "you people."

Scrappy refused to leave without a refund and the cops were called. They were able to get him half of his money on the spot and the salon agreed to mail him the rest by check at a later date.

Teen Fatally Stabbed Over Headphones at Queens Barbershop (@nydailynews)

19 year old Carl Richardson was fatally stabbed at a Queens barbershop over payment for headphones he intended to sell to his attacker.

Richardson and 34 year old barber Cedric Simpson met up at Select Stylez Barbershop in Laurelton, Queens and agreed to a pre-negotiated price of $40-$50 for a pair of headphones. Richardson agreed to let Simpson hold the headphones with instructions to come back to the barbershop the next day to receive payment. Upon arrival, Simpson didn't have, or didn't want to pay, the money and refused to give the headphones back, resulting in a fight between the two.

Other barbers and patrons broke up the fight, but an "enraged" Simpson continued to attack the teen, stabbing him in the stomach multiple times with a pair of barber scissors. Richardson was pronounced dead at Franklin Hospital in Long Island and Simpson was charged with second-degree murder and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon.
