Maya Rudolph Steals the Show With Beyonce Impression on 'Saturday Night Live' 40th Year Anniversary Special [VIDEO]

The SNL 40th Anniversary Special was highly anticipated for the last month, with many fans of the show wondering if the sketches and performances would be a major success or a disappointing flop.

Well, Sunday night (Feb. 15) was the moment of truth and the brain trust pulled out all of the stops by welcoming just about everyone who had ever been involved in the show to be a part of the celebration. One of the standout moments was veteran cast member Maya Rudolph’s sketch in which she pulled a Beyonce impression for the ages.

After a brief introduction by actor Martin Short, the comedic cutie struts onstage as the live band plays the beat for “Crazy in Love.” Rudolph shows up in a black onesie and a ‘do reminiscent of Beyonce’s alter ego Sasha Fierce. Going the extra mile and doing the patented Beyonce chest-pump move, Rudolph greets the SNL crowd in all of her charismatic splendor, receiving compliments from Short — who voiced what every heterosexual guy in attendance at the show or viewing from a TV or laptop was thinking.

But the kicker was when the sketch transitioned to the musical portion. Following a quick tune by Short, Rudolph decides to have a little fun and create her own rendition of “Drunk in Love” and the result is classic SNL. Substituting Bey’s famed “surfboard” quote for “40 years,” she sends the crowd — and everybody at home for that matter — into a frenzy. Rudolph and Short continue to create their own versions of popular tunes, including Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars’ “Uptown Funk” and Meghan Trainor’s “All About That Bass,” before eventually leading the cast into a full-blown dance session onstage.

Since Maya Rudolph is the daughter of famed singer Minnie Ripperton, it’s only right she has some soul and swag, which she puts on full display during this segment — she even pokes some fun at Kanye West’s support of the singer. Rudolph owned the stage and this Beyonce moment arguably became the highlight of the night.

Justin Timberlake, Jimmy Fallon Perform Hilarious Intro on 'SNL' 40th Anniversary Special

R&B singer Justin Timberlake is one of the most popular musicians on Saturday Night Live in the show’s storied history, hosting the show five times and absolutely slaying each time. On Sunday night (Feb. 15), JT kicked off SNL’s 40th anniversary special with his good friend Jimmy Fallon.

Dressed in black tuxedos, the dynamic duo warmed up the crowd for the night’s festivities. Timberlake reeled in the audience with his charisma and boyish charm, while Fallon cracked a few jokes.

Fallon and Timberlake performed an impromptu musical number with each delivering famous lines from SNL’s classic sketches in its 40-year history. Over a myriad of beats from classic songs ranging from rap to grunge rock, the pair made references to a number of memorable SNL sketches, including Timberlake’s own “D— in a Box” skit and other shenanigans.

In addition, legendary SNL character Debbie Downer made a quick appearance midway through to inform us that musical numbers on the show usually lead to poor ratings. Both Timberlake and Fallon jokingly quipped that NBC never cared about ratings in the first place. Wah-wah.

Overall, Timberlake and Fallon were both hilarious and surprisingly dope. Watch their fun intro above.

Man Gets Drake's Mixtape Cover Art Tattooed on His Neck [PHOTO]

The title of Drake's new mixtape could not be more appropriate than in this particular case. (@eiknarf)

There’s no question that Drake’s mixtape, If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late, is one of the hottest releases of the past week. Apparently, one fan loved the project so much that he decided to get a tattoo of the typographic cover art on his neck. Yep, you read that correctly.

Tattoo artist Mike Bage, of Fat Panda Tattoo Studio in the U.K., drew the artwork on his friend Richy Huck. He then posted the photo on his Instagram account and now the pic has gone viral on the internet.

Bage sent an email to Huffington Post to explain why Huck wanted to have Drake’s mixtape art on his neck. He writes:

Richy is a big fan of Drake, and since the popularity of his Miley Cyrus tattoo he thought this one would be a cool idea and would get people talking. He’s got some strange tattoos already anyway: a lady riding a sausagedog, a loveheart with the word “tits” in, Miley Cyrus in the bath, a dog with boobs for eyes, etc., so this one didn’t seem that weird. He said his parents have taken it well — his dad ‘just shook his head and got over it.’”

While Huck’s tattoo will raise eyebrows, it pales in comparison to what a young lady did back in 2011. An unidentified woman went into a Los Angeles tattoo shop to get the words “DRAKE” etched into her forehead. When the shop owner posted the photo on his Tumblr page, it instantly went viral and generated thousands of critical reactions.

Tattooist Kevin Campbell, who drilled the artwork on the girl’s forehead, was unapologetic about carving the Toronto rapper’s name on her forehead. “The funny thing is, I didn’t know who Drake was,” he tells Vice Magazine in an interview. “I figured it was her hood or some s—, not some goofnugget R&B dude.”

As for Huck, his ‘IYRTITL’ tattoo shouldn’t prevent him from getting a job (if he wears a turtleneck), but he might received some slander by folks on Twitter.

So far, Drake has yet to comment on Huck’s new artwork. I’m quite sure his social media accounts are on fleek right now.

What do you think about Richy Huck’s Drake tattoo? Is it dumb or creative? Tell us in the comments below.

Rihanna is appearing on not one, not two but three covers of the upcoming issue of W Magazine Korea. The Bajan beauty debuted the covers on her Instagram page on Saturday (Feb. 14).

The magazine is celebrating its tenth anniversary and tapped the 26-year-old chanteuse for their three beautiful covers. On the first image, RirRi is dressed in a gold waist coat and is laced with accessories on her arms and fingers. The second image features Rihanna in a blue gown, which reveals her toned legs and red strappy shoes. On the third cover, the ‘FourFiveSeconds’ singer is dressed in all-white dress with matching coat and necklaces.

Shot by photographer Dennis Leupold, Ms. Fenty was stylized by Ursula Stephen and Ozzy Salvatierra assisted with her makeup.

The W Magazine Korea triple cover follows behind Rihanna cover shot for i-D magazine’s Music issue. On the cover, RiRi rocked box braids, which garnered criticism that RiRi was mimicking singer FKA twigs, who wore braids on a V magazine cover.

The W Magazine Korea issue, with Rihanna appearing on three different covers, will hit newsstands in March.

Azealia Banks and Erykah Badu Go Tit for Tat on Twitter

After battling it out with Iggy Azalea last year on Twitter, Azealia Banks is now aiming her vitriol at Erykah Badu. It all started when the veteran R&B singer shared her opinion about the Harlem rapper’s music. From there, a Twitter war erupted between the two artists.

Banks tweeted a couple of rude remarks to Badu calling her “old” and suggesting that she was jealous of her. The ’212′ rapper also told Badu to keep rocking her headwraps and to shave her armpits.

Since Badu was in New York for All-Star Weekend, she turned on her Twitter location, possibly insinuating that she wanted to go toe-to-toe with Banks. Then Badu posted a picture of herself followed by this statement, “So if u take a left down here you’ll see where u had me f— up at.”

Banks continued to her slander Badu, tweeting, “Lol that ol lady went out of her way throw shade at me, turned on her location… But when I asked for the address … There was no answer.”

“Lol I think it was very childish of her to try and insinuate that I should show up and fight her… Like.. How old are you?” she added.

Honestly, it’s kind of childish to go after a person who expressed their opinion on Twitter. Hopefully, their feud doesn’t go beyond social media.
