In 2011 Lil Boosie, whose real name is Torrence Hatch, plead guilty to three counts of conspiring to bring drugs into a penal institution. Judge Mike Erwin sentenced him to eight years in prison. Investigators said he tried to smuggle drugs into Dixon Correctional Center once and into Angola State Penitentiary twice.

In December 2012, Boosie's attorneys were able to argue that the drug ring charge was a set up. This was because the informant offered to provide codeine syrup for Lil Boosie, an admitted codeine addict, in exchange for his help.

According to a news report from the New Orleans' The Times-Picayune, Boosie was expected to be released from prison on August 18, 2014, but surprise surprise, the Baton Rouge native was released this Wednesday according to WAFB.

Gambler Sues Casino After Losing $500,000 While Blackout Drunk

A wealthy businessman who squandered a half-million dollars at a Las Vegas casino on Super Bowl weekend is arguing that he doesn't have to pay because he was blackout drunk at the time.

Mark Johnston, 52, arrived at the Downtown Grand casino to play high-stakes pai gao poker and blackjack, losing hundreds of thousands of dollars in the process.

Johnston, who reportedly made his fortune in car dealerships and real estate, believes he should be absolved of the debt because the casino broke Nevada law by allowing him to gamble while visibly intoxicated and continued to serve him drinks despite his wasted state.

"It's certainly an extraordinary case. This is not a story that I've ever heard before, where someone was blackout intoxicated where they couldn't read their cards, and yet a casino continued to serve them drinks and issue them more markers," Johnston's attorney, Sean Lyttle told the Huffington Post. "It's a very heavy-handed and unusual approach that we haven't seen in this town in a long time."

Johnston and his lawyer are relying on surveillance video and eyewitness testimony to prove his case.

Kimye will be celebrating their nuptials on May 24 in Paris, reports the Daily Mail.

The wedding will come seven months after Kanye proposed to Kim with a 15-carat diamond ring.

In an interview last month Kim told Ryan Seacrest's KIIS FM radio show her wedding will be a smaller affair than what people may be expecting.

"We're having a super, super small, intimate wedding,' she told the Seacrest.

"As we go along, we're realizing we want it to be smaller and more intimate than people are imagining and thinking."

Kanye is reportedly handling every last detail of the event, down to the dress Kim will be wearing.

It's been reported that the wedding will be televised, with the E! network footing most of the wedding bill.

Despite their team losing by a solid 20 points, Boston fans had something to cheer about as the Celtics got routed by the Warriors on Wednesday night. During a break from play, the Jumbotron showed a man wearing his headband like Tupac, and the crowd erupted in a chant.

"Let's go Tupac" could be heard around the arena as the rapper look-alike grinned and acknowledged the fans.

Da Brat Reacts to $6.4 Million Judgment; Says She Is Shocked (@only1brat)

Da Brat has been ordered to pay her 2007 bottle attack victim $6.4 million, despite already serving 21 months for the crime.

The Atlanta via Chicago femcee expressed her shock at the judgment during a TMZ Live segment, saying she was "baffled."

According to court records, her assault caused permanent facial scarring, neurological impairment, and severe mental pain to former NFL cheerleader Shayla Stevens.

Shaq Launches Indiegogo Campaign to Fund 'Shaq Fu' Video Game (@shaq)

Shaquille O'Neal has launched an Indiegogo campaign along with Big Deez Productions to crowdfund a fighting game starring the former NBA great. "Shaq Fu: A Legend Reborn" will be a sequel to the 1994 Sega Genesis and Super Nintendo game "Shaq Fu."

Shaq needs $450,000 from donors to make the game a reality. $15 gets you a digital copy of the game for PC, while pledging $35,000 buys you and two friends a visit to the TNT studios for a meet and greet and chance to watch the taping of Shaq's NBA show.

Florida Man Busted for Doing Dog Takes Creepiest Mugshot Ever

Tampa police were called to the home of 57-year-old Bernard Marsonek Tuesday afternoon after witnesses reported seeing him having sex with a pit bull.

The wild-eyed man was allegedly doing the deed in broad daylight.

"When officers arrived on scene, they were greeted by a small crowd of residents who were disturbed by their neighbor's activity with the dog," police told Fox13.

"Several of the witnesses stated that they yelled at the suspect to stop, but he ignored their commands."

Officers spoke with Marsonek, a convicted felon, inside his home before obtaining a search warrant for the property.

Inside they seized a gun with ammo and animal services took eight pit bulls.

Marsonek was arrested on two counts of weapon possession by a felon, animal cruelty and sexual activity involving animals.

He was released on $17,500 bond, but not before taking a mugshot that will haunt your dreams.

Man Claims Michael Jackson Is His Father Due to DNA Test Results

A singer claiming to be Michael Jackson‘s illegitimate son has DNA evidence as proof that he is the King of Pop’s child.

TMZ reports that there is a 99.9 percent chance that Brandon Howard is Jackson’s son. At a press conference announcing the test results, FilmOn.com owner Alki David claims there’s a DNA match between Howard and Jackson. The late singer’s dental impression from a Beverly Hills doctor was obtained by David at an auction. That impression was used to retrieve DNA.

Gospel singer Miki Howard is Brandon Howard’s mother, who was managed by Joe Jackson during her career. In 1982, the songstress went by the name “Billy.’ One year later, Michael Jackson released his hit ‘Billie Jean,’ which included the lyrics, “Billie Jean’s not my lover” and “The kid is not my son.”

What does Howard, who goes by the stage name B. Howard, plan to do with the DNA results? According to the NY Daily News, he hopes to get piece of the MJ estate that was recently valued at $17 million dollars and earning $600 in revenue.

There’s a 2011 music video titled ‘Dancefloor’ — see above — of Howard shamelessly conjuring Michael Jackson’s musical and dance aesthetic. It’s difficult to deny the stark resemblance between Howard and Jackson.

Andre 3000 is certainly bust this year. The OutKast member will not only perform at a slew of festivals alongside Big Boi in the coming months but he’s also preparing for the release of ‘All Is By My Side,’ the biopic on Jimi Hendrix’s life.

The film premiered at the 2013 Toronto International Film Festival, however, actual footage never made it to the internet. The clip above comes just days away from the film’s screening at this year’s South by Southwest Film Festival in Austin, Texas.

The rapper’s portrayal of the legendary rocker has been deemed “impeccable” by critics. The scene above finds Andre as Hendrix confessing to having written a song for Linda Keith, who is played by Imogen Poots. He invites her to the Monterey International Pop Music Festival, which would become a pivotal moment in Hendrix’s career. He notoriously lit his guitar on fire while onstage there.

Even in the newly unearthed video you can see Andre’s method in portraying the musician by asking himself, “What would Jimi want people to know that they can’t get off of YouTube?”

Big K.R.I.T is celebrating the “Week of K.R.I.T.” and fans are getting spoiled with a bunch of new tracks from his ‘Cadillactica’ recording sessions. Rap Radar premieres a smooth, self-produced cut from K.R.I.T. titled ‘Lac Lac’ featuring A$AP Ferg. The unlikely collaboration works well.

K.R.I.T. delivers a hypnotic hook and insists that he’s the driver with a sense of direction. “Lac, Lac, Lac, Lac, Lac / Slamming the doors in the / Pull up with hoes in the / Diamond in the back, they chosen, posted up / Pouring up / Be it the sticky icky got you rolling up / Hold it up, just don’t be closing up / Open your mind, open your mind / Open your mind, open your mind / This could be the day / You don’t know the road, I could show the way,” he rhymes, which fits perfectly over the laid-back instrumental.

The first trailer for the remake of "Annie" is finally here, and we get to see Oscar-nominated Quvenzhane Wallis as Annie while Cameron Diaz portrays mean old Miss Hannigan and Jamie Foxx takes on the role of Benjamin Stacks.

The film, produced by Will Smith and Jay Z, tells the story of the billionaire Stacks (a rebrand of the Daddy Warbucks character) developing a relationship with orphan Annie in order to boost his political career, but he slowly starts to care for the adorable little girl.

Oldest Living Person in the World Celebrates 116th Birthday

Misao Okawa, recognized by Guinness World Records as the oldest living person on earth, rang in her 116th birthday at a nursing home in Osaka, Japan, on Wednesday.

Okawa, who was born on March 5, 1898, became the world's oldest person back in 2013 after the death of 115-year-old Japanese woman Koto Okubo.

As of February 2013, her son and one daughter are still alive, ages 94 and 92, respectively.

She recently sat down with The Guardian, where she explained that she felt the need to tell her side of the story on her split with Nas on her new album "Food" after he started the conversation.

"I've been divorced for almost five years; it's over, I'm over it. But what I would say is that last year I was made more aware of it because my ex-husband decided to talk about stuff that I hadn't shared with the world. He slipped my wedding dress on to his album cover so now I have to talk about it! I had no idea it was happening, I was like, 'What the...?' But it didn't affect my life. I'm not living that life now. I'm super-content and at peace."

Chelsea Handler stirred up a hornet's nest on Twitter after making several jokes during Sunday night's Oscars aimed at black actors.

Many folks on Twitter were outraged, calling her jokes "racist and sexist." Some people were angered that Handler congratulated "12 Years a Slave" for the win, and in the same tweet plugged her book, "Uganda Be Kidding Me." Handler did offer an #imsorry tweet at the end of her tweeting duties.
