3 Arrests Made in Brutal Beating of Atlanta Woman Over Hamburger
What would you do if someone sat on your burger by accident? Well, although many of you sane folks wouldn't do much of anything in this situation, three young women from Atlanta are in a heap of trouble after being hit with a slew of charges for savagely beating a 23-year-old woman, Myriah Porter, unconscious for accidentally sitting on a cheap hamburger.

Nike LeBron 12 Elite Series
When it comes to his sneaker releases, LeBron James definitely isn’t one to rest on his laurels. Like his other Nike drops, he’s been back in the lab tinkering on the Nike LeBron 12 to bring us the Elite series of the sneaker.
As usual, the post-season release proves to be the cream of the crop and has a few improvements to its build based on him playing on the court in them. The most notable improvement is the stability-providing cage around the upper that works in concert with the rest of the technology to provide an amazing new shoe.
Three colorways of the Nike LeBron 12 Elite are set to drop and the first one is the red Team colorway on April 18. After that you can expect the blue-tinged Elevate on May 15 and the sinister-feeling Rose Gold on June 5. Of course you can find them all at Nike.com on those dates as well as select retailers.

Denitia and Sene Promote Good Vibes, Talk Changing Lives and Perform 'Side Fx.' for 'Next Up' [EXCLUSIVE VIDEO]
Keep blinking to a minimum during denitia and sene’s stage performance because the nuances that separate them from their singing counterparts can’t be missed. This is art in motion. From denitia’s use of a synth keyboard and vocal processor to sene tapping away on a trigger pad that houses original music, they’re a self-contained unit creating mood-enhancing vibes. Think of them like a musical pop-up shop; they have all the components necessary to deliver their sound in a way that they want a listener to experience it — anywhere in the world.
When it comes to their songs, the Brooklyn, N.Y.-based duo cover the gamut from chilled-out soul to futuristic electro to sanguine pop. They deliver a playful back and forth on the bittersweet “Casanova,” share matters of the heart with the ethereal “Divided” and get straight to the point on the warm synths of “Because We Are Fools.” These two exude sexy through their music with a shared vision, which is best exemplified on their previous efforts like 2012′s Blah Blah Blah EP, their 2013 album, His and Hers, and their 2014 side fx. EP. Their lyrics, which cover complex ground, never sound contrived and their rhythms are minimal yet sublimely effective.
“You either like it or you don’t,” sene, who hails from Brooklyn’s Ocean Avenue, tells The Boombox inside Smalls Jazz Club in New York’s Greenwich Village. “There’s such a hierarchy among musicians. I know it sometimes comes off rude maybe, so I say it with a smile, but I just think it’s music.”
Denitia, who grew up on a healthy musical diet of Smokey Robinson, Lauryn Hill and Al Green, isn’t a fan of all of the modifiers used to describe their sound. If there’s one she is comfortable with it’s “underground pop” because it encompasses everything they want to dabble in. “I’m pretty influenced from so many different types of music,” the Houston native shares. “I’ve really found my voice in soul music. I’m talking about ’60s, ’70s. Aretha [Franklin], Al Green. I feel like when we first started out and some of the beats were kind of hip-hoppy, we were able to go there a little bit. Go a little R&B with one style, and from there, it’s just evolved into whatever it is now.”
When denitia and sene (no caps, please) formed in 2011, they had no crystal ball to look into to see what their future held. They each had a solo vision with a passion for music before they crossed paths at the Brooklyn art and music collective known as the Clubhouse. Two heads are always better than one, and now over three years after teaming up, they’ve changed the dynamic not only for themselves but for those in their inner circle — just by using their innate talents.
“We were in very different places before we started working together. It’s crazy to think of — in the most humble way possible — we’ve literally changed the lives of so many people around us that our lives affect. Not that we’re changing lives out here,” says sene, who cites the Cadillacs and Mos Def as early influences. “But we changed the day-to-day lives of our loved ones. I’ll forever be grateful of that. I don’t know if it’s proud, but I’m very cognizant of it and every single day I remind myself. I enjoy working; no, don’t take that time off. Go work on something because this is really helping a lot of people.”
Currently the pair, who find joy in cracking jokes on each other, are crafting their sophomore opus. “The Fan” is an indication of what’s to come from the project, which will be full of their pop and R&B-driven sensibilities. “Just like a fan, you cool me down, you love me now, just like I am,” they sing in unison on the track.
Denitia and sene’s next agenda is to bring their movement to a wider audience by touring. Their ingenuity and desire to color outside of the music industry’s lines will likely bring them far away from their roots in Beyonce’s hometown and Biggie’s stomping grounds, respectively. As The Boombox’s #NextUp artists sit beside each other in Smalls, they finish each other’s thoughts without rudely chiming in and throw in a few laughs for good measure. The positive energy is palpable, which translates into their music. But just like any working relationship in a group, there’s always that one little thing (call it a pet peeve or a quirk) that can be pointed out about the other when it comes to their personality.
“If you can’t fall asleep and you have counted all the sheep, just get sene to tell you a story and you will be sleeping like a baby in no time,” denitia admits with a laugh. “It could be up to 30 minutes. Just wind him up and let him go.”
Just don’t sleep on these two when it comes to their sonic chemistry.
Watch above as denitia and sene discuss their musical direction, changing lives and perform the silky sounds of “Because We Are Fools and “Side fx.” for The Boombox’s #NextUp series presented by McDonald’s.

Big Sean Earns First No. 1 Album on Billboard 200 With 'Dark Sky Paradise'
Three months into 2015 and Big Sean is celebrating a major accomplishment. In addition to bouncing back from the sophomore jinx and releasing what some have deemed a career-defining album, the Detroit native adds another win to his growing list of accolades when his Dark Sky Paradise album nabbed the top spot on the Billboard 200, giving the rapper his first No. 1 debut on the charts.
The critically-acclaimed album, which features the E-40-assisted banger “I Don’t F— With You” as well as the Drake-assisted heater “Blessings,” sold 173,000 copies in its first week, according to Billboard. And the rhymer had some tough company to beat this week, including Kid Rock and the Fifty Shades of Grey Soundtrack, which came in at the No. 2 and No. 3 slots on the charts, respectively. But when all was said and done, Sean proved that while hip-hop’s demise has been much-talked about, moments like this prove otherwise.

Tink Performs 'Ratchet Commandments' With Timbaland in Chicago [VIDEO]
If you don’t think Tink, it’s about time you started. The Chicago rhymer is only 19-years-old and is a force to be reckoned with in the music industry. She could give Lauryn Hill, Nicki Minaj and Remy Ma a run for their money.
Before releasing her new song “Ratchet Commandments,” Tink proved that she not only has solid bars but the stage presence to match. She put on a killer show alongside her mentor Timbaland at the Metro in her hometown last weekend performing for the first time, her new single off of her debut album.
In the middle of her set Tink and the crowd of screaming fans welcomed Timbaland to stage. “If you loved the work that I did with Aaliyah, If you loved the work that I did with Missy, then oooooohhh weeee,” Timbaland said before his “Ratchet Commandments” beat dropped.
Immediately Tink transformed, swinging her long, curly locks about as she entertained the audience with dance moves before diving into the opening bars. On the bass-heavy track, which is reminiscent of the Notorious B.I.G.’s “10 Crack Commandments,” Tink showcases her maturity, going against the grain, as she lyrically assassinates “ratchet chicks,” THOTs, hoes and everything in between.
“I been at this thing for years, it’s done turned me to an animal / Some of y’all ratchet, I’ma write you hoes a manual / Step by step G s— for you to keep / This the ratchet commandments, I need a moment to preach,” she rhymes with confidence.
Tink and Timbaland have been making noise all over the airwaves with Tinks’s “Tell the Children,” and the duo’s impromptu remix to Rick Ross and Jay Z’s “Moving Bass,” which had fans debating if her version was better than the original.
If you thought “Ratchet Commandments” was fire, Tink also dropped “Ran Up a Check.” On the road to her debut album, the self-proclaimed feminist will be releasing new gems like the one below periodically.

The Reebok Insta Pump Fury’s sibling has come of age as a part of the SR Pack that finds the sneaker with a sweet floral print in two colorways. The black pair relegates the flowers to shades of grey while the white pair displays reds and purples, to bring the silhouette to life.
The Reebok Furylite borrows elements from its pumped-up forbearer but really makes a name for itself in its own right. Look for these particular colorways to hit retailers like Wish sooner than later.

Karrueche Tran Dumps Chris Brown After Finding Out He Has a Child
A bomb hit Twitter and various media outlets late Tuesday night (March 3) when news broke that R&B bad boy Chris Brown was the father of a 9-month-old baby girl, which was a surprise to pretty much everyone, including Brown’s on-and-off girlfriend, Karrueche Tran.
The mother of the alleged love child is 31-year-old Nia, a former model the crooner has known for years and with whom he has remained friends, though they are no longer romantically involved.
The news had to crush Karraueche, 26, not to mention finding out about it through the media like TMZ. After years of turmoil within their relationship, things seemed to be looking up, with Brown admitting his faults as a boyfriend and has stated his plans on being a faithful man and committed to strengthening their bond.
But now that Karrueche has gotten wind of her beau’s secret love child, she seems to be the one backing away from the relationship and has all but dumped Brown for all of social media to see.
“Listen. One can only take so much. The best of luck to Chris and his family. No baby drama for me,” she wrote on Twitter Wednesday morning (March 4).
While it sucks for Chris, 25, to get hit with two whammys in one day, it’s hard to blame Karrueche for throwing in the towel after his continuous mishaps in regards to their romance. This new baby serves as the straw that broke the camel’s back, leading her to fire off the end-all tweet. She’s called it quits with the X creator before, so it’ll be interesting to see how this plays out.

Curren$y Connects With Styles P for 'Alert'
On the underground and independent circuit, Curren$y has long been regarded as one of the reliable artists when it comes to servicing his fans.
With an endless stream of releases and constantly touring, Spitta has become a model of consistency with the gift of being able to remain relevant without oversaturating the market. He is currently making the rounds in promotion of the third installment of his Pilot Talk trilogy, which drops on April 4.
“Never stop ’til we pick up loot on every block.” That’s the motto Curren$y and his Jet Life compatriots live by, which he serves as the opening line on his latest salvo, “Alert.” Produced by Ski Beatz and Styles P, the track is exactly what fans of Curren$y expect with a smoked-out beat, car references and other fly ish.
He gives props to his lady of the moment and her enterprising ways. “We use the Pro Tools to break down boulders / my girl pull her own weight with her sexy lil shoulders / in the strapless Vera Wang, Alexander, or whoever made it / I just know she paid it, it cost me naything,” the New Orleans native raps. The rapper still maintains his G, making it clear that he’s far from a rest haven for gold-digging women.
Styles P, who has quietly been on a tear musically over the last few years, joins Spitta on the track and makes his presence felt immediately, beginning his verse with the quote-worthy opening bar, “Boss playa, I ask for the cost later / Throw it in the cut, like f— it, I’ll floss later / In the mix like a cross-fader / No DJ, giving ‘em no leeway.” The LOX member shines bright with a commendable performance.

Game Donates $5,000 to IHOP on National Pancake Day [PHOTO]

This story will flip you out. Rapper Game, who always has a charitable heart, donated to IHOP’s National Pancake Day festivities in a major way.
The Compton rapper went to his local IHOP restaurant on Tuesday (March 3) and dropped a $5,000 contribution into the restaurant chain’s donation box. He posted a photo on his Instagram page for proof. “Just because the pancakes free don’t mean we can’t contribute to the cause…. $5,000 to ihop !!!! @therobinhoodproject” he wrote in the caption.
IHOP launched #NationalPancakeDay back in March 2006. The program includes free pancakes for breakfast lovers worldwide. Since then, the company has raised $16 million for various charities. This year, the goal is to raise $3.5 million.
The charity is quite easy. Customers can order a free short stack of buttermilk pancakes if they leave a donation for the Children’s Miracle Network Hospital or other charities linked with IHOP.
Game’s huge donation allowed him to order a gigantic stack of pancakes, which the rapper was willing to devour — although we think he may need more syrup.
He’s one of the most altruistic rappers in hip-hop. He’s the creator of the Robin Hood Project, which raises money to help people who need assistance with paying for funerals and hospital bills. Last year, the rapper was honored with a humanitarian award at the 25th annual Talk of the Town event for his charitable efforts.
“It all started when I gave one kid from Africa $20,” he wrote on his Instagram page. “That created @therobinhoodproject and since then I’ve given away over a million dollars of my own money hand to hand and through charitable organizations. Never thought in a million years I’d have even an extra dollar to giveaway let alone a million. #Humbled.”
