Keyshia Cole Escapes Prosecution for Assaulting Woman at Birdman's Condo

Keyshia Cole is one lucky woman. The R&B songstress will not be prosecuted for allegedly pummeling a woman inside Birdman’s Los Angeles-area condo in September.

If you recall, Cole reportedly attacked Sabrina Mercadel, an employee of Cash Money Records, after seeing her in Birdman’s home. The victim, who claims the attack was unprovoked, was left with scratches on her face and injuries to her neck and back. Mercadel has since filed a restraining order against the singer.

According to TMZ, the L.A. City Attorney’s Office doesn’t want to take the case to trial. Instead they’d rather talk to the combatants and give Cole a stern warning not to do it again.

However, prosecutors are thinking of sending the ‘Love Letter’ singer to anger management classes.

To date, neither Cole nor Mercadel has opened up about the assault to the media.

We hope that Cole takes the prosecution’s proposed offer because jail wouldn’t be a good look for her. Plus, it would derail her upcoming tour with K. Michelle next year.

Kelis Hit With Twitter Slander After Unflattering Photos Surface

Kelis is known for her fashion-forward style but after an unflattering photo of the R&B singer surfaced online today (Oct. 28), the once positive comments about her looks quickly went out the window.

In the photos, Kelis’ blonde hair is a bit disheveled and she wears a tight tropical-print dress with gold accessories.

According to the Shade Room, after performing at the Ball Out Beaucoup event in New Orleans on Sunday (Oct. 26), Kelis took some photos with her fans. Unfortunately, the shutterbugs didn’t catch her good side.

Juvenile Returns to Cash Money Records

Juvenile’s returning to the label that he helped put on the map. In a new interview with MTV News’ Rob Markman, Juvenile confirmed that he has signed with Cash Money Records once again.

“It’s already done, man, I signed the paperwork a couple days ago,” said Juvenile when asked about the possibility of rejoining Cash Money Records. “I’m signed back. Rich Gang, I’m about to get my little tattoo and everything. It’s all love. I’m back.”

Juvenile has been seen repping the YMCMB and Rich Gang brands for a few years now, so his Cash Money return does not come as a huge surprise. Birdman also spoke to MTV News about Juvenile’s return to Cash Money.

“Even though we been through what we’ve been through, we’re older now ’cause we were younger then,” said Birdman. “We all spoke. [Lil'] Wayne did music with him, we spoke. I just wanted to feel if the time was right, if we could do it or if we wasn’t gonna do it, we just wasn’t gonna do it. And I just feel like the time is right.”

This will mark the third time that the New Orleans, LA rapper has signed with Cash Money Records. Juvenile originally left the label following the release of his 2001 album ‘Project English’ due to a money dispute. He would return in 2003 to release his album ‘Juve The Great’ before quickly departing once again. Despite this history, Juvenile assures fans he’s in it for the long haul this time around.

“I’m here to stay too,” said Juvenile. “For everybody out there, I’m not going nowhere. I talked about it to [Birdman] like, man, I plan on retiring here. You start where you finish. I ain’t going nowhere, I’m here.”

The Juvenile and Cash Money partnership has been fruitful for both sides. Juvenile’s work as solo artist and as part of the Hot Boys (with Lil’ Wayne, B.G. and Turk) played a vital role in Cash Money’s ability to secure a major deal with Universal Records in the late 90s. Plus, Juvenile’s 1998 album ’400 Degreez’ is still the best-selling album for both Juvenile as a solo artist and Cash Money as a label.

“To be working with Juvie again, I’m excited about that,” said Birdman. “I know what I can bring out him and I know with the platform that I have, he can be bigger than was before.”

Birdman Addresses Tyga's Beef With Young Money [VIDEO]

First Young Money boss Make Maine responded to Tyga’s claims that YMCMB is holding him hostage now Cash Money head honcho Birdman is weighing in on Tyga’s beef with the label and Drake.

“Tyga knows where he stands,” Birdman told Hot 97’s Funk Flex on Monday (Oct. 27). “Tyga can’t compare to Drake.” Birdman was referring to Drake’s three new tracks ‘How About Now,’ ‘Heat of the Moment’ and ‘6 God,’ which finds the Toronto rhymer clapping back at Tyga for “fake” comments he made in recent Vibe interview.

Stunna continued to keep it real giving Tyga his due respect while also laying down the law. “I got all the love and respect for Tyga,” he said. “That’s been my lil bro in everything he accomplished and did… but my intake is, I’m family-orientated. Either you’re in or you’re out. If you’re out, you’re an outcast to me. If you’re in, we family.”

Tyga’s new track, ‘Make It Work,’ features some lines that could be interpreted as another diss towards Drizzy: “N—- never was my homie, all these bitches know you’re corny.” However, Birdman confirms that despite whatever ill feelings Tyga has, he’s still signed to Cash Money. But he’s against the dissing. “I ain’t with none of that s—!” Birdman said. “We one gang, ain’t no separating that… you gotta just choose your side.”
