As he continues to promote his new Jimi Hendrix biopic, Andre 3000 took to late night and sat down with ‘Late Show with David Letterman.’ The rapper talked about making ‘All Is By My Side’ and revealed that he was actually freaked out by the notion of playing a musical legend.
“I got back to my hotel room and was like, ‘Man. Why did I take this job?’” Andre remembers asking himself about accepting the complex role. “Who plays Hendrix? He’s the coolest person in the world.”
Andre also admitted that he wasn’t a Hendrix fan as a kid but discovered the icon in his late teens when watching the movie ‘Apocalypse Now.’ “I was like ‘Whoa. What is this?’”

Nick Cannon's Mariah Tattoo Appears to Be Covered
Although they haven’t officially divorced, it appears Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon‘s relationship is still headed downhill. Proof of that is a new image that shows Cannon had the insanely large “Mariah” tattoo on his back altered.
On Thursday (Oct. 2), the actor-comedian was DJing at Playhouse in Los Angeles to celebrate his birthday when he decided to take his shirt off during his set. According to TMZ, Cannon had the “Mariah” tattoo covered with new ink. We couldn’t make out the design but sources say it’s a depiction of Jesus on the cross with angel wings coming off the end of a crucifix.
If the reports and photos are accurate, this pretty much confirms that Cannon and Carey are headed for divorce court.
Ironically, Amber Rose was at Cannon’s party with her date, Nick Simmons, the son of rock star Gene Simmons. The two were reportedly grinding on each other on the dance floor.
Rose filed for divorce from Wiz Khalifa after she discovered him cheating on her with identical twins.
Overall, it was a night of celebration for a jilted lover and another with some new ink.

Akon's 'Bubble' Performance in Africa Draws Criticism
Akon is stirring up some controversy and he may not even know it. The singer recently performed in the Democratic Republic of the Congo in Africa, crowdsurfing in a plastic bubble.
The artist reportedly jumped in the bubble as a precautionary measure to avoid contact with anyone exposed to the Ebola disease. However, this is not true.
According to the Independent, the rapper was performing in the big plastic bubble just for the fun of it. While isolation is used to help stop the spread of the Ebola virus, this wasn’t the case when Akon was performing in front of 60,000 people.
In the end, the ‘Smack That’ artist was performing in support of the United Nations’ International Day of Peace. The concert was held in order to help bring a sense of peace and togetherness to the city of Goma, which has been oppressed with violence and chaos for the past two decades.
Akon has yet to address the controversy.

When Tyga split from his fiance and baby mama, Blac Chyna in August, Kim Kardashian’s younger sister Kylie Jenner was thrown into the mix, but not because she was the other woman. However, it looks like things have changed since the rapper is now making headlines again for getting close with the reality TV star.
Kylie and Tyga were spotted Thursday night (Oct. 2) walking out of Casa Vega, a Mexican restaurant in Sherman Oaks, Calif., where the two reportedly had dinner. While their dining experience could just be two friends grabbing a meal, the photo below may tell otherwise as it appears she’s attempting to grab his hand. Is this a case of PDA exposed?
This isn’t the first time the ‘Make It Nasty’ rhymer and Jenner were spotted together. After the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards, her and her sister Kendall were partying with him and Chris Brown.
Just a few months have passed since his break up with Chyna and there a few things that make this new pairing a little awkward. First, there’s a seven-year age gap between them — Kylie is only 17 to Tyga’s 24 years. Then there’s the fact that Chyna and Kim Kardashian are best friends. The latter is reportedly the one Chyna ran to after she and Tyga called it quits. This sounds like one big conflict of interest.
