Beyonce's Beyhive Sting Raven-Symone Over Lil Kim 'Queen Bee' Comments
A photo posted by Raven-Symone` (@ravensymonecp) on Mar 16, 2015 at 3:38pm PDT
Beyonce‘s Beyhive can’t seem to stop swarming. The R&B superstar’s die-hard fans threw high levels of shade towards actress Raven-Symone after she posted a picture with Lil Kim on Instagram.
According to VIBE, the Beyhive took issue with Raven-Symone calling Kim the Queen Bee and using the hashtag #Beehive and began attacking the former Cosby Show star.
However, Raven fought back and posted a playlist of Lil Kim’s 2003 album La Belle Mafia, which features a song called “Tha Bee Hive.”
That quickly seemed to stop Beyhive from delivering an onslaught of stingy comments and bumblebee emojis her way. The Empire actress also posted another great photo with her fellow series co-stars Jussie Smollett and Bryshere Y. Gray, who also attended Lil Kim’s event.
Thankfully, Raven-Symone didn’t go through what Kid Rock endured after he said some rude comments about Beyonce. Earlier this month, the Beyhive attacked the rocker’s Instagram page with thousands of bumblebee emojis in his mentions. And guess what? The Beehive are still attacking his Instagram page. The onslaught is real with them.
When it comes to their Queen Bey the Beyhive doesn’t play. You have been forewarned.

Amber Rose Talks Khloe Kardashian Feud, Planning Slut Walk Event [VIDEO]
Amber Rose is tired of being bullied for her risque behavior and she has plans to fight back in a big way. The model-actress is organizing a Slut Walk event this summer in Los Angeles with plans to branch off to other major cities such as New York, Chicago and Miami.
Rose discussed the reasoning behind the walk-a-thon on Entertainment Tonight. The 31-year-old mom also had a few things to say about ex-boyfriend, Kanye West, and her Twitter feud with Khloe Kardashian.
When questioned about her inspiration behind throwing the unique event, Rose pointed to the rude slut-shaming by haters on Instagram. “It’s improtant for me because I deal with it everyday. I deal with it via social media and out on the street, they don’t qiute understand why I post what I post and how I speak on social media,” she says.
Rose also responded to West’s scathing comments about Rose during an interview on Power 105.1′s The Breakfast Club.
“I just recently dealt with that with my ex saying he had to take thirty showers after he’s been with me,” she said. “We were happy when we were together and now all of a sudden I’m getting slut-shamed because we’re not together anymore and it’s unfair.”
As for the feud with Khloe, the curvy model said she has no beef with her and she’s willing to let it go.
“I don’t hate Khloe, I don’t hate her” she said. “Yes, I could’ve totally minded my business when it came to her sister or younger sister and her relationship, but me being a dancer at a young age [and] dealing with older men gave me the humility and knowledge to speak on the subject.”
Although she doesn’t hate Khloe, Rose still threw a jab at Kim.
“I can understand why it came across the wrong way to her, I get it, but that’s a phone call she could have had with me,” she said referring to Khloe’s remarks about her. “She didn’t have to tweet 11 times and try to humiliate me when the only reason why these girls have careers is because their older sister [Kim] had a little fun on tape, let’s be realistic.”
We will have to see if Rose’s Slut Walk campaign catches on. Hopefully, her message of trying to end bullying on social media will connect with young people.
What do you think of Amber Rose’s Slut Walk event? Is it wrong or is it empowering for women? Tell us in the comments below.

Ameriie Reunites With Producer Rich Harrison on 'Out Loud'
Ameriie hasn’t released an album in nearly six years, but continues to be beloved by fans due in large part to her early 2000s classics “Talking to Me” and her influential Rich Harrison-produced hit, “1Thing.” Well, after a few false starts over the years, the singer back with a new single, “Out Loud,” which also serves as her reunion with Harrison.
“Let me clarify, pretending my heart ain’t racing as you and I separated / Tonight is just my time to get it, I’ma ride it, drive it ’til the flames get low,” she belts out at the song’s start. Ameriie seems to have not lost a step and sounds fully in sync with the beat. Dominated by jittery snares and kicks, the track is lively and more tailor-made for the club and lounge setting, as you may be enticed to get your two-step on with this selection playing in the vicinity.
From the lyrics to the hook, in which she promises to “Live out loud tonight,” this comeback release proves that Ameriie is ready to make a grand return to the game.

Trinidad James Addresses the Use of the N-Word in CNN Panel Discussion [VIDEO]
Since that offensive video came out of the SAE fraternity chanting a racist song, the topic of the N-word has once again become a part of the national conversation. Rapper Trinidad James went on CNN to talk about the SAE’s house mother using the racial slur and how he felt when he saw the video.
“I honestly think that somebody’s trying to be sarcastic and play a joke on this old lady,” said the rapper. “She looks old, and she looks drunk. I saw that two years ago when it came out. I didn’t say anything about it, because life is just so much bigger than that.”
Political commentator Ben Ferguson, who was among a panel discussion with Professor Mark Lamont Hill, blasted James for using the word and said that he makes money every time he drops the N-word. “I’ll be honest with you,” said Ferguson. “I think you know that we should probably get rid of the n-word, but in reality, I think many rappers are afraid they will lose out on money and sales and street cred it they don’t stop using the word.”
The “All Gold Everything” spitter clapped back. “I’m making money off of doing music and being creative, sir,” said James. “I’m not making money just because I use the n-word. Nobody goes to buy an album because it’s full of the n-word.”
Ferguson then suggested that James wouldn’t even be relevant if not for the word. “Trinidad, you wouldn’t be on this show tonight if it wasn’t for using the n-word in your rap music. Let’s be honest,” he replied.
Props to Trinidad James for disregarding Ferguson’s idiotic comments about people using the n-word for “street cred” and sales.
You can check out the entire panel discussion both above and below. Let us know what you think of this discussion in the comments section.

Charles Hamilton vs. Kid Cudi — The Boombox Battle
Charles Hamilton looks like he’s making a great comeback with his win in last week’s Boombox Battle. With over 85 percent of the fan vote, he easily beat Atlanta rapper Rich the Kid and his collaboration with Travis Barker, “Not Sorry.”
After walking away from the limelight and dealing with his own health issues in 2009, Harlem rapper Charles Hamilton is back with a new deal with Republic Records and a new song, “NY Raining.” Spitting over a piano-driven melody, Charles serenades a special lady. Rita Ora is the featured artist who tells him why the should give a romance a go.
Aside from the lovey dovey talk, he also addresses his growth as an artist. The song will appear in the season finale of Empire and on the first season’s soundtrack. “Miles from home / My style has grown / Sick of getting played like a xylophone / My instrument is mean with thousands of bones,” he raps on the first verse.
Hamilton’s competitor this week is Kid Cudi. Spending a lot of time on movie sets than in studio booths, the Cleveland native returned to the mic with his latest single “Love.” Sampling Ratatat’s “Sunblocks,” he laments about how he’s been feeling lonely in his music but sounds triumphant by the time he reaches the hook.
“Don’t be so down, come on young homie / You’ll be ok, you’ll find real love / All of the stories the hero gets lonely, now is the time to show all you’re made of,” he delivers his melodic rapping tone.
Who’ll win this week? Charles Hamilton, who’s showing self-awareness on his new track? Or the crooning Kid Cudi who just wants to remind us he’s still making music? It’s time for you to decide. Go vote for your favorite song in the poll below. Remember, you can vote once per hour until the poll closes on Tues., March 24, at 10AM ET.

Nike Air Max 1 FB 'Yeezy'
Kanye West may have move on to Adidas but his famous Yeezy colorway at Nike is here to stay. Case in point: the new Nike Air Max 1 FB “Yeezy.”
This Air Max 1 model is given the honor of holding down West’s legacy with a cool wolf grey upper accented by pops of volt and neon pink. With the colorway being the most noticeable thing about the shoe it’s easy to overlook the high quality leather, suede and mesh used on the upper.
The Nike Air Max 1 FB “Yeezy” is available now in limited quantities at U.K. stores like Titolo for $124. There is no word on when these sneakers will arrive stateside.
With Yeezy season in full effect, you should expect them to hit any day now. Let’s just hope that Kanye doesn’t go on a crazy rant about Nike still using him (or rather his colorway) to sell shoes.

Run The Jewels have become one of the most beloved groups in rap in recent years, but judging from an event that took place yesterday (March 16), not everyone thinks so kindly of the rap duo.
While performing at the Spoitfy house event as part of the SXSW festival in Austin, Texas, an unidentified man managed to get onstage and took a swing at MC/producer El-P before Killer Mike and members of the crew intervened.
After getting ran off the stage, the man then got into a fight with a concertgoer before getting knocked out by security. The incident caught everyone a bit off guard, but didn’t stop the show, as El-P and Killer Mike continued to rock the house as if nothing had occurred.
Thankfully, no one got seriously hurt, and with a name like Run the Jewels, a minor case of fisticuffs shouldn’t stop the show.
At least El-P can laugh about the incident now.

20 Words That Mean Something Completely Different in Hip-Hop
Hip-hop has influenced pop culture like no other genre has over the last 30 years. Originating in the slums of the South Bronx in New York City, the five elements of hip-hop have permeated throughout the nation and have spread to various countries worldwide. Through dance, visual arts, turntable wizardry and spoken word, the spirit that was birthed in the gutters of ghetto U.S.A. soon grew from a belittled pastime of the youth into a global phenomenon uniting people from different races to enjoy the sounds of an ever-evolving culture.
The rappers, producers and DJs may get all of the love and admiration, but the foundation of the culture is the b-boy, which is someone who lives and breathes hip-hop, conveying the vibe of the culture through the way they walk and talk. And conversation is arguably the biggest factor in the success of hip-hop. It speaks directly to us and for us. What some pundits have labeled as ebonics are nothing more than the fabric of our urban dialect. What may mean one thing to the “real world” may mean something if it was delivered by someone entrenched in hip-hop culture.
The Average Joe may associate the word “banging” with something being pounded, but in rap speak, it signifies that a certain food tastes extremely good, or it could refer to sexual relations. This may sound tricky to someone not as well-versed in the world of hip-hop, but luckily, the good folks here at The Boombox are here to help you navigate this verbal jungle.
In response to all of the gripes we’ve heard from bewildered squares, we bring you 20 Words That Mean Something Completely Different In Hip-Hop. Check it out and consider it a starter kit for your introduction into our complex lexicon.

Tyrese Delivers 'Dumb S—' Video Featuring Snoop Dogg
Tyrese flexes both his singing and rapping skills in his new video for the Snoop Dogg-assisted song “Dumb S—,” the first single from his upcoming album, Black Rose.
Directed by Matt Alonzo, the black-and-white clip finds Ty showing off some fancy footwork with a few gorgeous ladies. The concept of the song centers on the singer’s inability to be faithful in a relationship, so the bevy of models aren’t just eye candy; they serve a true purpose.
As the veteran crooner is cuddled up with one lady, he eyes another as she walks by. Without a doubt, Tyrese’s acting skills come in handy when he’s playing a character in one of his videos, and he makes the clip that much more entertaining to watch.
Snoop comes in, making it an all West Coast affair. That is until Wiz Khalifa makes a brief cameo.
“What it is, what it do, Snoop D.O. Dub / Is there any way that you can get us in the club? / Girl I’m buzzing with a cousin and a set of twins / Diggin’, duggin’, s— here I go again / It’s certain motherf—er that I run with, that keep me on some Bobby Shmurda dumb s—,” raps The Doggfather.
After Snoop spits his verse, Tyrese, otherwise known as Black Ty, raps a few bars too. “I got exposed when she went through my DMs, now I got problems with my BM, I ain’t want to be him / Dumb s— doing the most when I know better / But doing better and knowing better is showing better,” he spits.
Black Rose drops on July 7, but before then, Tyrese’s movie Furious 7 arrives April 3.
