It’s been a minute since DMX has gotten into any real trouble but it appears the rapper got caught up in some criminal activity. Police are currently investigating a report that Darkman X allegedly robbed a man at a gas station in Newark, N.J., on Sunday (April 5).

According to NJ.com, the 21-year-old victim alleges that shortly after midnight, he spotted DMX and his entourage at an Exxon gas station and struck up a conversation with him. During their conversation, a male in DMX’s entourage brandished a weapon and demanded the victim’s money.

According to Newark police spokesman Sgt. Ronald Glover, the victim handed over $3,200 in cash from his pocket and DMX allegedly “snatched the money out of his hand” before jumping into one of four black Cadillac Escalades that left the scene. The victim was able to follow behind the convoy on the highway and make out one of the SUV’s license plates.

Police are still investigating the case and have made no arrests as of yet.

Apparently, the 44-year-old rhymer was in the area Saturday night (April 4) as he was scheduled to perform at the Master of Ceremony concert at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center. The show featured headlining acts Rakim, Mobb Deep, Big Daddy Kane, EPMD and many others.

DMX tweeted this to his followers after the show.

Reps for DMX had no comment on the criminal matter.

RihannaMichael Loccisano, Getty Images

After debuting her new song “American Oxygen” at the March Madness Music Fest in Indianapolis on Saturday (April 4), Rihanna premiered a CDQ version of the track exclusively on Jay Z’s new streaming service TIDAL.

It’s not a club banger like “Bitch Better Have My Money,” but rather an inspiring ode about people pursuing the American dream. “Breathe out, breathe in / American oxygen / Every breath I breathe / Chasing this American dream / Respect sweat for a nickel and dime / Turn it into an empire,” RiRi sings on the hook.

Much like with Beyonce’s song “Die With You“, you can only download a high-quality version of the song if you have a TIDAL account. The service’s monthly subscriptions run $9.99 a month (or $19.99 a month for the premium subscription), but you can sign up for a free 30-day trial to hear “American Oxygen” now.

But breathe easy. You can listen to Rihanna’s uplifting tune below (while it lasts). Also, check out the RiRi’s performance of “Bitch Better Have My Money” at March Madness Music Fest below.

Kanye West's Name Replaces God in the 'Book of Yeezus' Bible

Kanye West Book of Yeezusbookofyeezus.com

If you worship Kanye West, then you are going to love this item. Three crafty entrepreneurs have created a book made for disciples of the almighty Yeezy. The Book of Yeezus is a coffee table book, which remixes the Book of Genesis in the Bible by replacing every mention of God with the words “Kanye” or “Yeezus.”

“In the beginning Kanye created the heaven and the earth…and Kanye said, Let there be light: and there was light,” reads the first passage in the modified book.

On the creators’ Etsy page, they explained why they chose Mr. West as their subject for this G.O.O.D. Book. (See what we did there?)

This book wasn’t made to make fun at Kanye, or really even show or undying devotion towards him. Book of Yeezus represents a fresh take on what the Bible could look like in our modern world. It is a statement – an editorial art piece.

Bound in a black hardcover with gold-leaf imprinting, the book features a 300-word forward examining Kanye West’s impact on popular culture and the “outsized significance he plays in our lives.”

“For this generation, Generation Y, Kanye West is not only its greatest spectacle, but in some senses, a spiritual figure,” reads the description.

If you are in search of some spiritual enlightenment through the prism of Kanye West, you can cop the Book of Yeezus here.
