Racist LA Clippers Owner Gets Roasted With Instagram Memes (@laclippers)

Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling made huge headlines this weekend for audio obtained by TMZ where he chastises his girlfriend for taking a picture with a black man and putting it up on Instagram. He argued that it could taint her image as a "delicate Latina" woman, even though she is indeed of mixed race.

The man in question, NBA legend Magic Johnson tweeted that he and his wife Cookie will never attend another Clippers game as long as Sterling is the owner. Snoop Dogg gave Sterling a piece of his mind via Instagram as well, and while the front office is attempting to smooth things over, it's clear the damage has been done.

As social media does in cases like this, a series of memes have surfaced on Instagram and Twitter addressing the issue. While some are plain hilarious, others are actually thought provoking.

The Roots Drop New Single 'Tomorrow' Featuring Raheem DeVaughn

The Roots crew released a new single called ‘Tomorrow’ on Saturday (April 26). The song, which features Raheem DeVaughn, is from their upcoming album, ‘…and then you shot your cousin.’

A departure from their usual hip-hop sound, ‘Tomorrow’ is a piano-driven ballad with optimistic words from DeVaughn.

“Sending a message to god and heaven / I’m thankful to be alive / Cause you sleep from eleven to seven, work hard from 9 to 5,” he sings.

On the chorus, DaVaughn adds, “‘Cause everybody need an angel / And everybody needs a smile / And everybody has an angle / And everybody wants tomorrow right now.”

Although the song doesn’t feature a rap from Black Thought, the Roots have created a breezy thought-provoking tune. The message is quite clear: Although the world is filled with people from different backgrounds, we are all striving for a better tomorrow.

The Roots’ 11th studio LP, ‘…and then you shot your cousin,’ is scheduled to arrive in stores on May 19.

Fabolous Chills Out in 'Cuffin' Season' Video

Technically, cuffing season is over, but that doesn’t stop Fabolous from droppiing his new video for ‘Cuffin’ Season.’ The Brooklyn rhymer gives needy women the cold shoulder in the clip, which was directed by Gerard Victor and Joe Puma.

In the video, Fabolous — dressed in all white — is in La Merina club as he puts women on ice until the fall when cuffin’ season resumes again. The ‘Breathe’ rapper also chills out on his throne as details stories of groupies trying to get wifed up during the winter season.

Tyga could face serious jail time for housing an exotic animal.

According to TMZ, after police got an anonymous tip that the rapper had a Bengal tiger in his home, cops went to his LA home to find the tiger gone.

Due to complaints, the rapper took the animal to a local animal shelter. Since the shelter was unable to keep the wild animal, it was taken to an undisclosed location. It also appeared to be in good health.

The rapper often showed off his prized possession on his Instagram, with one photo of the cub on the top of a Rolls Royce.

Tyga is facing multiple fines for breaking the state's Fish and Game Code, which states that animals "must be kept in a permitted facility that is licensed to house and care for restricted species." He can also face up to six months in jail if convicted.

Soulja Boy Petitioning To Get Lean Cough Syrup Back in Stores (@Souljaboy)

Soulja Boy may have a full supply of lean, but he's worried about the people that don't.

According to TMZ, the rapper is upset that Actavis, the company behind the promethazine and codeine medicine is stopping production of the product after it's heavy use in the drink lean- made popular by rappers and Soulja Boy himself.

Soulja says that Actavis is running away from money and isn't thinking about the effects that yanking it off the shelves will do for patients who need the medicine. He also says that he uses it to sleep while he's touring.

"As far as the lean goes, just know I been had the juice since 2011." he said.

Sizzurp has been said to inspire Houston's DJ Screw to create the Chopped & Screw sound, named dropped in several hip hop songs over the past 10 years, and led to death of UGK's Pimp C who overdosed on lean and prescription pills in 2007.

Snoop Dogg, Meek Mill Slam L.A. Clippers Owner Donald Sterling For Racist Remarks

Rappers Snoop Dogg and Meek Mill reacted harshly (and rightfully so) to Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling’s racist comments. TMZ obtained audio of Sterling’s phone conversation with his bi-racial girlfriend, V. Stiviano, pleading with her to stop broadcasting that she associates with “minorities” (aka Black people) on her Instagram account.

The owner’s comments are preposterous considering that he has several black players, including superstar b-baller Chris Paul, on his L.A. Clippers team.

The NBA is launching a full investigation into the matter. Meanwhile, civil rights activist Jesse Jackson has called for the Clippers to boycott, while others have taken opinionated stances against Sterling as well.

Snoop posted a heated and profanity-laced response to Sterling on his Instagram page.

“A message to the motherf—a that own the Clippers,” he snarled. “You bitch-ass, redneck, white-bred, chicken s— muthaf—a: F— you, your momma and everything connected to you you racist piece of s—. F— you.”

Meek Mill was rather tact but straight-forward with his response. He tweeted:

Drake Speaks About Sports Fans Reaction To Raptors Partnership (@Drake)

Drake's role as global ambassador to the Toronto Raptors wasn't just for the love of the game.

In an interview with Grantland, the rapper explains why he decided to stand behind his Raptors.

"There's something genuine about this city," he said. "There's something great.I think aside from that with All-Star coming here there's an untapped nightlife, restaurants, culture. There's so much to soak in and I think that our goal is in 2016 to truly showcase that, not only for the players, but also for everybody."

He also added that he was worried about how sports fans would react to his involvement with the Raptors.

"I think initially the union, the partnership between myself and the Raptors was purely for the fact that I love that city more than anything in the world," Drake said. "I have too many tattoos and too many memories. I was born there, raised there. I grew there. And I just wanted to really support the team. I didn't necessarily know how it was gonna go. I didn't know if I would be able to make an impact in sports because sports is way different, you know? You look at sports fan's reactions to a lot of things. Whether it be me hosting the ESPYs or whether it be—It's just sports is a different type of appreciation. When people from other genres start coming in. So, I had high hopes for what we could accomplish, but I was just there purely for the city. And the union made sense."

Alicia Keys, Kendrick Lamar Perform 'It's On Again' on 'Tonight Show'

Powerhouse duo Alicia Keys and Kendrick Lamar formed like voltron and performed their anthemic song ‘It’s On Again’ from the ‘Amazing Spider-Man 2.’

Wearing a Los Angeles Dodgers cap, K.Dot kicked the performance off with a blistering verse while Keys played a wistful melody on the piano. Backed by composer Hans Zimmer and the Smiths guitarist Johnny Marr, the R&B songbird sang the soaring lyrics to the Pharrell Williams-produced song.

Rapper Meek Mill is back and he’s taking it to the streets in his new video for ‘Off the Corner.’ The Dre Films-directed clip features the Mayback Music Group artist and his bawse, Rick Ross, recalling their days when they were hustling on the corner.

Throughout the video, we are introduced to the seedy part of town where thugs, hustlers and shooters reside. We even get to see Mill show off his daredevil bike-riding skills.

The two along with singer/songwriter Charles Pettaway were spotted at the studio last night in Atlanta, Ga. Pettaway, who has worked with Fresh in the past posted the pic above to Twitter. No word on how many tracks were done or if Fresh would produce the entire album.

LA Clippers Owner Doesn't Want Black People at His Games

LA Clippers owner Donald Sterling doesn't want his girlfriend to bring Black people to games-or be seen with them all together.

According to the Daily News, the coach's entire argument with his girlfriend happened on April 9 after she took a photo with Magic Johnson and posted it on Instagram. Some of his comments included:

Sterling: "Why are you taking pictures with minorities? Why?"

Stiviano: "People call you and tell you that I have black people on my Instagram, and it bothers you?"

Sterling: "Yeah, it bothers me a lot that you want to promo... broadcast that you're associating with black people."

He also told her he would prefer if she didn't bring minorities to his game because of the way that makes him look as the Clippers owner.

Sterling: "I'm just saying, in your lousy f******* Instagrams, you don't have to have yourself with, walking with black people."

He also said that he doesn't want Magic Johnson or black people like him at his games.

"Don't put him [Magic] on an Instagram for the world to have to see so they have to call me. And don't bring him to my games."

Kanye West has put a new spin on creating acceptance speech videos.

According to E! News, the rapper and legendary producer Rick Rubin gave an acceptance speech on behalf of the TR-808 Drum Machine for the Tribeca Disruptive Innovation Awards. The machine which is heavily used in many action films and music from all genres.

Directed by Mark Romanek (Michael Jackson's "Scream," Jay Z's "Picasso Baby," the video starts with Kanye and Rubin giving thanks for the machine, but Romanek uses old footage of the two and dubbed foreign languages film for their voices.

Kanye's "I'm in It" is played in the background until the end with a polar bear climbing up a never ending flight of steps.

Karrine "Superhead" Steffans took notice of Fishburne's skills as a trainer and has asked her to contribute to Steffans' lifestyle blog, "I Am So F'n Gorgeous" and has also taken on the role of mentor for the once troubled Fishburne.

Steffans wrote of the partnership on her own publishing site, where she explains she met Montana a year ago and wanted to help the former porn actress immediately:

"When I met her, I instantly wanted to protect her, I wanted to help her claw her way out of the ditch she'd dug for herself. I told her it would be a long road back and no one will ever forget, but if she just did the work, she could switch the focus and one day be known for so much more."

She then went on to explain why she brought Montana onboard as a fitness blogger for her site:

"It may seem like a stretch to you but physical fitness and health are major parts of Montana's life. The kid knows her stuff! Now, is she bat sh*t crazy otherwise? Maybe. Squatters Throw BBQ Sauce at Reporter On Live TV

A group of squatters who forged a fake lease to live in a Detroit home were not pleasant to the reporter who got them kicked out of it.

According to News One, the group of women caused so much chaos in the neighborhood, that the neighbors called Detroit's Channel 7 News to help remove them. After calling the bank who actually owned the home, the police removed the group from the home.

Upon leaving the home, Channel 7 Ronnie Dahl tried to interview the squatters to find out why they were living in a foreclosed home. A woman threw a drink in the reporters face and tossed BBQ sauce on the news car. They also circled the home during the live report taunting the reporter in the process.
