Police are on the hunt for a suspect who fatally shot a man multiple times backstage at a Wiz Khalifa concert in Mountain View, Calif., on Friday (Aug. 22). The incident happened as the show was about to end around 11:05PM PST.
A police spokeswoman Shino Tanaka said the shooting happened backstage at the Shoreline Amphitheatre where the rapper was performing. The unidentified 36-year-old victim was rushed to a local hospital where he died from his injuries.
According to KRON4 News, police are searching for a suspect described as a black male in his 20′s between 5’6″ and 5’8″ with short hair. At the time of the incident he was wearing all black and white pants with a red baseball cap. Police say the weapon used in the homicide was a black pistol with a large magazine.
The identity of the victim has not yet been released and police are still trying to figure out how the individual was able to bring the gun backstage undetected by security checkpoints.

Meanwhile, Wiz Khalifa has canceled his concert tonight (Aug. 23) in Chula Vista, Calif. The rapper also issued a statement about the shooting via Twitter. He tweeted:
