Rihanna’s legal cases are piling up. The R&B superstar has been hit with a lawsuit from a former bodyguard who claims that she made false allegations against him.
According to the Irish Times, Geoffrey Keating filed court documents in England’s High Court today (April 28) to sue RiRi for defamation.
He claims that the ‘Stay’ singer allegedly wrote “nauseatingly offensive” remarks in an e-mail, which ruined his reputation and business. Details of those alleged remarks were not revealed in the documents.
Keating also claims that Rihanna made the same alleged remarks during a phone call to his sister in July 2013 as well.
Keith Spencer, an attorney for Keating, secured permission from Judge Michael Peart to serve Rihanna a subpoena at her New York address in the U.S., which the judge obliged.
Keating was the head security for Rihanna when she was on her Diamonds World Tour between October 2012 and July 2013.
Rihanna’s attorneys had no comment on the matter.
