Rodney Bryce, known in the hip hop world as DJ EZ Rock, has died.
Rob Base and DJ EZ Rock (or E-Z Rock) created the hits "Joy and Pain" and "It Takes Two" in the late '80s.
Their album It Takes Two, sold over seven million records. The group split up due to personal reasons and later reunited to create 1994's Break of Dawn.
Biz Markie tweeted the news of his death Sunday afternoon. "R.I.P. TO EZ ROCK FROM ROB BASE AND EZ ROCK YOU WILL TRULY BE MISSED. ."
Rob Base posted a photo of the two on his Facebook page confirming the news. "R.I.P Skip (EZ Rock) friends since the 4th grade. I'm really going to miss you."
Bryce was 46. His cause of death is unknown at the time.
