Chance the Rapper is still recuperating after falling ill on Sunday (April 20). Hours before his Coachella performance, the Chicago native canceled due to an undisclosed illness. On Tuesday (April 22), his manager posted a letter to update fans on the rapper’s well-being.
Patrick Corcoran wrote a missive on Chance’s Facebook page, explaining that the rapper had a 104-degree fever and inflammation his throat. When the ‘Confident’ rhymer was admitted to the hospital, doctors said his illness was caused by a combination of the flu and tonsillitis.
Currently, Chance is resting at home in Los Angeles and will see a specialist this week to determine if he needs surgery.
However, under doctor’s orders, Chance must cancel his remaining shows scheduled between April 23-27. If everything goes well, he’s scheduled to be back onstage at the JMBLYA festival in Dallas on May 2.
We wish Chance the Rapper a speedy recovery. You can read the full letter below.
