In this throwback clip from 92.3 The Beat's DJ Julio G, Q-Tip details co-writing the 2001 film "Prison Song" along with director Darnell Martin. The Tribe rapper, who says he's always considered himself a writer, also starred in the flick alongside Mary J. Blige, Danny Hoch, and Elvis Costello.
"I really enjoy acting. It's a definite love of mine -- it's an extension of my vision as an artist," Q-Tip explains before adding, "I'm gonna approach it with the same aesthetic as my music."
