Riff Raff may be switching out his chains and cornrows for cowboy boots and a Southern twang, because the Houston emcee revealed to TMZ that he's getting into the country music game.
Raff says he'll record under the name Jody Highroller; a moniker he's been using on Twitter and Instagram for a minute. However, he'll continue to use Riff Raff as his rap name.
TMZ reports that Riff Raff's country ambitions are co-signed by Diplo, and he has a song called "Take U Away" that he'll be releasing soon.
He says he's dead serious about his new musical pursuit, telling TMZ, "I love country music. I'm good at it and it's a good fit."
Riff Raff switching to country music isn't as crazy as it sounds; Former D-Town emcee Kid Rock made the transition years ago and he's enjoyed a very successful career as a country crooner.
