Ariana Grande has an amazing voice and the energetic stage presence to match, but sometimes she gets so into her performance her excitement knocks her off her feet.
The pint-sized singer took a page from Madonna’s book while performing “Bang Bang” at her concert in Toronto on Sunday (March 8). After an intimate set for her fans, Ariana, with mic in-hand and not missing a line, attempted to run back to the main stage with her dancers, but she fell short and slipped trying to get in place.
The “Break Free” singer kept her cool and even giggled about the incident before she continued to belt out the rest of the song in her signature high-pitched serenade. She may be a diva in the making but she seems to embrace her clumsy side. This is not the first time Ariana caught a slip onstage in front of thousands of fans. Back in December she “almost died” when she tripped on confetti while performing “Love Me Harder” at the Jingle Ball.
Good thing she’s okay. It’s still early in her career and even veterans who have been in the game for years have had their unbalanced movements onstage. Both Drake and Beyonce took tumbles mid-concert.
For the most part, her tour has been full of surprises. At her stop in Detroit on March 7, she brought out beau Big Sean to perform two songs and offer a little PDA. The slip in Toronto will not stop her honeymoon; the tour continues in Pittsburgh, Penn. at the Petersen Events Center on Tuesday (March 10).
