Bobby Shmurda’s supporters won’t be witnessing the rapper shmoney dancing as a free man just yet.
After news spread that he could be released from jail this week, Bobby will now remain behind bars. According to the NY Times, the Brooklyn rhymer’s bail arrangement has been put on hold. “Management associates” were dealing with the bail package before it was withdrawn.
“It’s our understanding that the suretor has withdrawn and that no hearing is currently scheduled,” said Kati Cornell, a spokeswoman for the New York City prosecutor’s office.
Shmurda’s lawyer Kenneth Montgomery also confirmed the bail withdrawal. “We’re trying to do a new bond application and are in the process in the figuring that out,” Montgomery said. Nevertheless he seemed to have faith adding, “We’re hoping to get it done within the next week.”
Celebrity bail bondsman Ira Judelson apparently was to provide the $2 million bail for Shmurda and his brother Jahvas Pollard.
Since Dec. 17, Bobby Shmurda has been in police custody. The ‘Hot N—-’ creator, along with members of the GS9 crew, were detained and hit with a long list of gang-related conspiracy, weapon and narcotics charges.
