Even though A$AP Rocky‘s next album, A.L.L.A., has no release date yet, he’s doing a good job of keeping his buzz going strong by delivering new songs. After dropping the video for “Lord Pretty Flacko Jodye 2,” he’s back with a muddy-sounding banger, “Indie,” featuring Rich Homie Quan and Sway Burr.
At this time, though, there’s no telling if its an official song off the new album or just a leak since it sounds a bit incomplete. That doesn’t take away from the overall song’s appeal. Thank Rocky’s tighter, more improved flow for that.
“Hand it all, let them die, Anna Rose, big guy / That Santa Clause, big body, that Phantom Rolls, too hot / N—- fan him off, Tupac, bandanna on, bandanna off / Stand on my two feet and use my penis as my third leg,” he raps.
The under-the-radar rapper Sway Burr puts his lyrical two cents in as well, and spits a slowed-down verse, which contrasts nicely with the uptempo beat.
“All I really wanted was a G-O-L-D, two old flags on me, talking way back in ’03 / Now you trying to crucify me, now you trying to crucify me / Yall know how I get with the snakes out here throwing up B.P.T,” he spits.
Quan adds his deep, raspy voice to the track, rapping about a girl who provides sexual favors for him, then following it up with a bit of singing.
Hopefully, the A$AP Mob member will provide some details about A.L.L.A. soon because from what we’ve heard so far, the project is shaping up to be one of the more solid efforts of 2015.
