Miguel Joins Santana on Guitar-Driven Ballad 'Indy'

Carlos Santana gained worldwide fame with his millennial albums ‘Supernatural’ and ‘Shaman,’ respectively. The legendary guitarist has a great knack for collaborating with the right artist to create fantastic songs. This time around, Santana taps Miguel for the guitar-driven ballad, ‘Indy.’

On the minimalist track, Miguel sings of being mesmerized by the beauty of a woman that catches his eye. The singer compares her body to the temple of doom from the ‘Indiana Jones’ movies, which explains the song’s title.

But Miguel’s come-ons win when he asks if she was sent from the heavens.

“I would like to lay ya, way up in the Himalayas,” he sings over Santana’s wailing guitars. “No need to be modest baby / You appear to be goddess, baby / Sweet, unholy thoughts of you.”

‘Indy’ is a beautiful song that will most likely get played at summer weddings.

Santana is set to release his new album ‘Corazón’ on May 6. The collection features guest appearances from Pitbull, Ziggy Marley, Romeo Santos and Gloria Estefan.
