The rap world may be focused on Lil Boosie, but fellow Baton Rouge, LA rapper Kevin Gates hopes to grab some attention tomorrow when he drops his new album ‘By Any Means’. Before the LP hits stores tomorrow, Gates gives fans a preview with the single ‘Bet I’m On It’ featuring 2 Chainz.
In his signature sing-song flow, Gates opens up the track with some boasting before delivering some rapid fire rhymes. Gates raps, “Hustle real hard, never made it with a sport / five hundred four grams and you never woulda thought / eighteen ounces, made it with a fork / loved in the hood, but I’m hated on the court / when the ball hit the rim, that’s a miss / come to think about it, wait, that’s some bricks / three hundred eight-balls coming, no assists / aw, here we go again, mind on dope again.”
While 2 Chainz does drop a verse, it’s the catchy hook he provides Gates with that should quickly make this go-to selection for DJs and fans alike.
