Tyga entered the lion’s den of Power 105.1’s The Breakfast Club Tuesday morning (Feb. 17) to address some of the rumors and beef he’s involved in as of late. The “Ayo” rhymer was eager to answer questions that Angela Yee, Charlamagne tha God and DJ Envy put in front of him.
Right off the bat, Tyga was asked about his relationship with Kylie Jenner. The Compton rapper is reportedly dating the 17-year-old model. The rumor was fueled again by Amber Rose‘s recent interview in which she said that Tyga should be ashamed of himself for leaving his ex-fiancee Blacc Chyna for Kylie.
However, Tyga denies that he’s dating Kylie and calls her a genuine human being. “I didn’t leave my family for Kylie, that’s ridiculous,” he said, adding that he separated from Chyna in order for them “to raise an ‘emotionally stable kid.’”
Tyga insists that he’s been friends with the Kardashian family for years. The 25-year-old rapper even revealed that he introduced Kanye West to Kim Kardashian. In the end, Tyga claims he’s not doing anything disrespectful with Kylie. “Like we’re really friends,” he said. “She’s a good person.”
Next, Tyga was grilled about his “light-skinned” war with Drake. If you recall, Drizzy gave him a lyrical slap on his diss song “6PM in New York.” Tyga then replied on Twitter calling Drake a “bitch.”
The “Rack City” MC shrugged off Drake’s verbal attack and doesn’t think the feud is serious.
“My thing is this, if it’s real, it’s real. If it’s not, it’s not,” he said. “I just don’t f— with him as a person because of the experience I had with him personally. I feel like he’s a nice guy on the outside, but he’s not genuine and he plays people left and right. That’s just my opinion.”
There’s also no beef with Nicki Minaj and he “f—s with her 100 percent.” His fallout with Birdman and Cash Money Records was addressed too. He didn’t go into specifics about his trouble with the label, but he believes they owe him money. However, he credits Cash Money and Lil Wayne for putting him in his career.
Props to The Breakfast Club for conducting a tight 16-minute interview with Tyga. Watch it above.
