We’ve known Iggy Azalea to beef with the likes of Azealia Banks and Snoop Dogg but Papa John’s? That’s different.
Right before the Grammy Awards last night, the always-in-the-news rapper ordered a pizza from the franchise deliver place, only to find out the driver passed out her personal phone number to people like his sister.
“I ordered a cheese pizza but instead I got tons of calls and messages like this one:” the ‘Fancy’ spitter tweeted.
“Hello is this Iggy Azalea? My brother had delivered something from Papa John’s to you and he gave me the number on Friday,” texted the the guy’s sister …”I am your number one fan. Call me back please. Is this you? Please answer. You are my idol.”
That’s when ‘The New Classic’ creator took to Twitter and blasted Papa John’s.
“You know, to protect their privacy … Too bad they don’t value the privacy of their customers also. #DamnShame,” she wrote.
“@PapaJohns refuse to send pictures of their employees, so you can identify who it is that steals your information. @PapaJohn’s was my favorite pizza but the drivers they use give out your personal number to their family,” she continued.
The company then apologized but didn’t take the situation seriously enough for Iggy.
“@iggyazalea, #We should have known better. Customer and employee privacy is important to us. Please don’t #bounce us,” wrote Papa John’s, referencing Azalea’s song.
They also sent a letter, which the rapper then posted. That particular post, however, has since been deleted.
“I don’t think data breach is funny,” Iggy tweeted. “I expect you to contact me to explain how you are going to rectify your breach.”
The Aussie native then threatened to sue Papa John’s if it didn’t rectify the situation quickly. On a funny note, the company DiGiorno Pizza jumped in and wrote this: “Deliver. smh.”
