Run the Jewels‘ sophomore album — an album of the year candidate — is notable for its thoroughly concussive sound, from Killer Mike’s bass-heavy voice to El-P’s chaotic work on the boards. ‘Oh My Darling (Don’t Cry),’ one of the harder hitting cuts, uses more psychedelics than brunt force for its video.
The visual trades in the reckless fun of ‘Blockbuster Night (Part 1)’ for general sketchiness. Killer Mike and El-P pose with their backs pressed against each other in darkness as lights and naked women dance around them. Fun times for the jewel runners.
The duo is currently on tour after finishing a two-night stand in New York. Their North American leg is over, however, Run the Jewels hit the U.K. on Dec. 10.
